I have eaten lunch here 5 times now and it is still as fabulous as the first time! My favorite is the Chicken Salad which comes with a side of fruit. It has just the right amount of Mayo for my liking, and herbs along with nuts & grapes! The Croissant is filled with the salad so that if I’m not so hungry it makes two meals for the price of one. I’ve also had the Spinach Quiche which was light, fluffy and very tasty and also comes with the fruit. Last week they had Tenderloin Duos that normally comes with grilled onions; I’m not an onion fan, so they made it for me with basil mayo and they come on pretzel rolls with the fruit. These are the size of «sliders» and the Tenderloin was melt in your mouth, totally worth $ 10! I tried the bakery items as well which were also fresh & wonderful… cup cakes(Red velvet & Mint) and a Carrot cake muffin, Delicious!!! If you’re in or near Richmond, IL and you don’t stop by for food… you’ve missed really great food. They are only open for Breakfast & Lunch until 3pm, closed on Sun & Mon; sit down or call a head to carry out!

Great place to have breakfast and sit outside. The french toast was great and the iced coffee was even better. Nice to have a place like this in town. Get the brownies to take home they are delicious.

If you have not experienced Sweet Angeline’s, you are missing out! Beautiful pastries and a small delicious menu. The owners are on site and make the food to order. Fresh brewed coffee with a smile. Wonderful, quiet location with a darling patio for outdoor dining. A must do for breakfast or lunch!

Sweet Angeline’s is a lovely stop for lunch. The menu is not extensive but varied enough that I’m sure you’d find something you’d like. They change the menu based on what’s available so it’s always fresh & seasonal. The atmosphere is lovely — it’s just like you went to visit relatives and they fixed you some lunch. The restaurant is a converted house with just a few tables set up in the living room. Very charming. The service is a little inexpert but that fits the atmosphere so was just fine with me. I will definitely be back!

Hit this on the way back from lake Geneva and so glad we stopped. Be prepared to wait, for everything is fresh and homemade. My Panini was delicious and my husband liked his sandwich and little panfried potatoes. She made homemade potato pancakes for my gluten-free son, and my 10-year-old loved his biscuits and gravy that were laced with bacon fat:). Angeline lives up to her name, is as sweet as can be. lovely bakery items, though we were full and didn’t indulge. Not much seating so going at an off time is probably better.

Set off on a morning ride, blue skies, the Harley roaring along when all of sudden I realized how much I really wanted some breakfast and a huge cup of coffee. We peeled off of 173 south onto 12 into Richmond. The town of Richmond has little side streets with businesses that unless you know about them, you’ll blow right on by(no overt signage is allowed by the town of Richmond so businesses here depend on word of mouth). After searching around, we pulled up to Sweet Angeline’s café restaurant. This quaint little gourmet café was just what I was looking for. Outside seating under big trees, inside this old farm house is a living room dining area that makes you feel like your at your favorite grandmothers house! In the foyer is where their bakery is(yes fresh baked cakes, cookies, breads, etc) and the kitchen. NOWTHEFOOD… AHTHEGOODSTUFFANDTHEWHOLEPOINTOFTHISPOST! I ordered a 3 egg omelette, with sausage and cheddar, the thing was massive and prepared to perfection. Along with it came a fresh sweet breakfast biscuit(just like they make in the south) with fresh strawberries, two slices of melon and a huge Hazel Nut Coffee with Cream & Sugar. My wife had the same thing only added fresh Spinach to her omelette. We went outside and sat down at one of the wrought iron tables and a big red flowing umbrella. Our food arrived and was quickly devoured… my coffee cup never ran low and the staff was extremely attentive. So next time you are in Richmond and are looking for a not so far off the beaten path place to have breakfast of lunch(their lunch menu specials looked awesome too), do yourself and your belly a favor and turn onto Broadway Street, and visit with Angeline, Jim and Sarah(the family that owns and operates this gem of a place) I think it will become one of your favorite places in Richmond Note: There is a bike trail that runs right along side this restaurant and a parking lot area for people to unload their bicycles and kids. Bring your bike, kids and explore the bike trail and after you’ve loaded up your car, stop and have something to eat before you head home to face the rest of your day. :-) P. S. To my Biker brothers and sisters, you know how much we all appreciate a business that is biker friendly and this place is just the place. Ask Jim about his Harley Softail and watch his eyes light up with stories of Sturgis and beyond…
