Starbucks

I haven’t been to Starbucks in a few years and finally decided to go one morning for my early morning cup. I understand it was early but no one greeted me, both Baristas were so worried with the drive-​thru and making the drinks they just ignored me. After that customer left everything seemed to be fine until I got to work and opened my breakfast. I had ordered oatmeal with blueberries and after pouring the blueberries ontop of my oatmeal I found mold all over the blueberries. I excepted the rude greeting because of the time of day but Starbucks isn’t cheap and having to throw away my almost $ 4 meal and having to buy something else is unexceptable. Needless to say I will not be going back.

25 mins for a coffee!!! Come on!
My order was simple– an iced coffee, unsweetened with room for milk.
They gave me — a prediabetic– a sweetened drink!
It’s not that hard! Get it right!

Very friendly small but welcomed! They also make the absolutely best cappuccino in the RVA!

Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I have not once gotten a drink from here that I can finish due to it being awful. I don’t know if I just have bad luck or what, but this the only Starbucks I’ve had this issue at. Good thing there are tons of other ones around!

What can I say I will miss this place until we meet again the people were nice peaceful it wasn’t crowded like Boston usually is they made the best caramel macchiato

This can be a very busy location, especially the drive-​thru. Traffic in the drive-​thru line gets backed up, and cars that are parked routinely cannot get out. The early morning crew is always friendly, and does a fabulous job. They’re rarely out of menu items.

Prob my least favorite Starbucks in the area but right across from my allergist office so I go. When you walk inside no one even acknowledges your presence and it’s by far the slowest drive thru I’ve been in. Just not a very friendly bunch of people. If you’re busy you can at least say welcome and I’ll be right with you.

Everyone at this Starbucks is so friendly and welcoming. Whether I’m in the drive thru or inside, the employees always make conversation. My drink is always right, and it’s typically made very quickly. This is the most convenient Starbucks for me, but I would still frequent it even if it wasn’t!

Ive got to give 5 stars to this location. Ive been trying different stores to see who can create the perfect Earl Grey Latte for me. they did it! Im not a coffee drinker, in fact I literally despise the taste so starbucks was a challenge since they specialize in coffee. but thank god they still do tea and other stuff. My EGL was 5 pumps of french vanilla creamer and a couple pumps of hazelnut, 2% milk with whip cream… came out just right! The other star of the store was a bacon gouda and cheese breakfast sandwich… this little sandwich was a sneak attack. my daughter put me up on it, it comes on a little square roll… and it was so darn good. I mean. gouda on anything is yummy but you must try this lil sandwich for yourself to see what I mean.
The service at his location was awesome. The server was new, very friendly and chatted with me for a bit about tea vs coffee laying his knowledge on me. Very nice guy! Pleasant experience on my otherwise rotten morning.

I’m giving three stars bc I usually love coming here for the drive-​thru. There is a gentleman who is also so polite and upbeat. This time however, I came in today to order something off the secret menu. And although I understand it’s not conventional, I’ve talked to former baristas who’ve said as long as it’s not busy and you go inside, they’ll be happy to try. I wanted a form of an iced tea. The girl who placed it was very nice. But the barista behind the counter gave her a huge attitude when the sticker printed. He proceeded to make it wrong after I patiently told him what was in it and told him I appreciated his time trying. He put my drink down on the counter flustered and helped two others who came in behind of me. So I waited patiently. He finished my drink and put it on the counter. I thanked him graciously for trying and said I really appreciate it. He didn’t even smile at me. Just turned around and walked away. It tasted awful too, but I was so frustrated with his attitude at that point I didn’t even feel like going back in bc I was with my kids. Now that there is a new drive in closer to me, I probably won’t be coming back here.

My vanilla latte tasted like milk with a little bit of coffee. Very weak. Not impressed.

Still my favorite Starbucks in Richmond. Brandy is helpful and friendly. The same with David in drive thru. They make it a point to get to know their customers. Sometimes because of my schedule it will be weeks between a visit and they still warmly greet me. This staff makes me WANT to go every day!

The drive-​thru was busy so decided to walk in and get my drink. To my surprise, this place was infested with roaches. They were crawling all over the serving counter, just where they place the drink cups! Not one, not two, but several roaches were crawling around the counter and also on the floor. Everywhere I saw, they were there. Then the manager comes after I pointed this out and he starts squashing them dead on the counter and on the floor.
Wow, couldn’t believe this! And I had my drink in my hand, wondering how many roach eggs must be in the cup. I took the pictures and posted them here on Unilocal and on Starbucks FB page. Hopefully this will bring it to someone’s attention to SHUT THIS PLACE down and stop serving drinks where roaches are all around the counter!
Save your health, don’t go here!

This is the most convenient Starbucks in Richmond. The staff is fast and nice, coffee is always good, inside big enough for those working-​from-​coffee shop days, it sports the all too rare drive thru, it’s right off the interstate and next to a gas station and my favorite car wash. Nuff said.

These people know the meaning of customer service.
A few months ago, I needed emergency coffee for an evening event for a large number of people. The only place close by was this Starbucks. I went in and explained my dilemma to the staff, who, despite being busy, quickly whipped up an extra large cambro for me — no fuss, no muss, and with smiles and great sympathy for my plight. They told me not to worry and just to return the cambro the next day.
They have no idea how much help they really were that night, and how much stress they relieved me of. I could not recommend them more highly!

Well, that was a cluster. Do I appreciate the friendliness of the staff? Absolutely. But in the end, I’m in there for a coffee treat. Wrong size, ordered a tall, was charged for a grande (which at least I got), did not want whipped cream, the only employee making the drinks was clearly overwhelmed & was making small mistakes on everyone’s order, the manager was busy joking with an off-​duty employee who took FOREVER to place an order… Napkin containers were near-​empty, and it was chaotic to say the least. Also, my iced mocha is very bitter. Great location, but service needs some serious help.

Dear Starbucks and/​or Henrico County. Seriously. This is getting to be unsafe when your drive-​through line backs out to that side street, onto Mayland and even to Gaskins. No one parks in the lot because they can’t get in or out of a space due to the drive-​through line. In serious need of a traffic redesign.
That said, I still come… and park on the side street usually. Love David. He’s Mr. Customer Service.

Hello PSL! I cannot tell you how many Starbucks I have been to– however, these people are so friendly. Every time I have stopped by, everyone I have encountered has been super nice and kind. I am a big fan of the drive thru. However, i do not stop here often– mostly when I go visit the car wash behind them, but they never have made a bad cup of flavor for me. I know parking is limited, so i tend to not stop in that often, unless i am running in and out (if the drive thru line is too long). Overall, not a bad Starbucks to visit in the Short Pump area, however, as with all Starbucks, it is going to be pricey compared to your average McCafe from McDonalds. Quality over Quantity i say.

Drive true is great.
kinda hard to get into.
but is on the way to the highway.
same good service as the others.

Cons: Parking here is nightmarish and the drinks are sometimes inconsistent in flavor.
Pro: David at the drive thru is fantastic. I look forward to seeing his kind face!
