This is the restaurant in the holiday inn on Bells road. I keep wanting this place to be better. But the service is always lacking and the food very generic with nothing special to bring you back. There are not a lot of good sit down restaurants in this area. Especially no sports themed bars. This place has potential I think but now I think its reputation has fallen to much to recover from. They would probably be best to rebrand this so the local business people will try it again(rebrand — with strong management and staff) and may be able to take advantage of the potential this location has. Sorry such a negative review but I would like to see this place get better and succeed.

Awful flat beer and bad food might as well roll your car window down and throw your money out on to 95

Went here as it was attached to the hotel and after an 11.5 hour day of driving didn’t want to venture out. The service was appalling, both slow and unprofessional. Our server left us unattended for long periods of time(upward of 20 mins) despite the restaurant being next to empty, did not provide us with silverware or napkins, and spilled water all over the table. She also complained to us about the length of her shift and the other waiter working. The chicken and Ruben my wife and I ordered was cold and the fries although hot were drastically undercooked. The scariest part of the chicken being cold was that it was visibly burnt! Would not eat here again if you paid me!

First night was awesome and even tonight wasn’t bad for myself and my friend but we are at the bar. We traveled from Wisconsin for the UCI World Championships. Long story short, we just watched the Czechoslovakian national cycling team get ignored by four different servers for over twenty minutes even asking for assistance. A hostess ended up coming in and taking their order for them. Nobody here seems to give a damn and way to show people from other countries how awesome it is to be here! Ridiculous. Especially when all of the severs are just bitching about«they ain’t mine» in front of other customers. Perhaps look across the street at Subway for employment. People come in a straight line through the door and right back out. Maybe that’ll be enough for your mentality.

Tonight I had dinner here. Since I’m staying at the hotel I figured, why not? I order spaghetti w/meatballs and Cesar salad on the side. The spaghetti was over cooked and the meatballs were HUGE but so dry. The Cesar salad was more of a spinach salad with like 2 baby pieces of romaine and shredded parm. Also, the dressing had a mustard taste. Very tangy. Not bad, just not exactly right. I gave this place 3 stars because they don’t seem to know that they are doing anything wrong. Hope they get more training to better serve customs.

The Sporting News Grill is the restaurant attached to the Holiday Inn off of Commerce in Richmond. I had a free breakfast coupon, so I ate here on Sunday before checkout. I had 3 eggs scrambled, bacon, English muffin, bacon, and orange juice. The eggs were scrambled hard with brown spots, the orange juice came out warm. I give the 3 stars because our server was really nice, and the breakfast was free.

This is a pretty mediocre to poor place. Were it not for my daily $ 20 breakfast voucher that came with our room at the Holiday Inn, I probably would not have eaten here at all. We had three days worth of breakfasts here and the food is at best edible. The free kids breakfasts(«kids eat free») would satisfy those 5 years old or younger. They were so minuscule. The two pancakes & bacon(1 tiny slice) were unappetizing and pancakes were tiny. My other son’s bacon(also 1 slice) and eggs(make that egg as the amount on his place is minuscule and cannot be more than 1 egg-worth). My English muffin was not even toasted but merely warmed. My husband’s California Omelette had two brownish avocado slices on top — eeow! Only my American Skillet was passable for 2 out of the three days. On my last day, the cook used leftover potatoes and they tasted dry and mealy. The service was also slow. It took more than 30 minutes to get our food even when the restaurant only had 4 tables of diners. It took us 1.5 hours to have a simple breakfast. We only got out in an hour when I pointedly told the hostess that we were in a hurry and needed the food ASAP. This restaurant is only acceptable if you get the $ 20 voucher deal with your room. If you have to spend your own money, go somewhere else.

This place is terrible!!! Come in night one sit down and order a double vodka and sprite and order some food. Everything takes forever but finally gets there so I say ok maybe its not too bad. Mind you the double was 10 dollars not exactly a glamorous location so the price made sense. Night two order the same drink and get my bill and get charged twice immediately ask the waitress she says shell talk to the manager. The extremely rude manager comes over and I told her I refuse to pay that for the drink based on the previous night she says I have to pay and offers 10% off. I laughed refused to pay and left

Extremely slow service, overcooked burger and hush puppies. It was convenient to our hotel though, but that was the only positive.

Decent. Place. After 10 hr ride up from Florida, had a burger and a side plus 2 beers for 17 bucks. Clean, ok bar food. In a pinch a good selection.

We went even though the reviews were not so great… Figured we would make our own opinion since it was attached to our hotel and we don’t know the area. It was a clean place(even the duct tape repair on my booth seat was clean). Our waitress was very nice when she was around. We ordered cheese sticks and the were good bar type cheese sticks(is there such a thing? Yes! you would only understand if you have had bad bar cheese sticks). When someone else delivered our food we had to ask for our waitress(and no it wasn’t busy at all she had 4 booths) so we could order our dinner which consisted of a chicken quesadilla and chicken tenders tossed on Asian sauce and fries. Well seemed like forever but we finally got our food and it was good. The fries were the best part!!!

Not good! Nfc divisional round and closes at 10? With a hotel attached. Makes no sense.

Blueberry pancakes tasted fermented. One inch thick, crumbly, sour. Had to DROWN in syrup to make them palatable. $ 3 for side of two slices of bacon. Poptarts are a better breakfast.

The bartender made me lose my appetite: she was behind the bar blowing her nose, then wiping her nose with her hands, and did not wash her hands, then went on to prepare drinks and open bottles. So disgusting! The food was mediocre; under-seasoned and the chicken on my salad was dry and overcooked. I asked for honey mustard for my salad and was given dijon mustard instead. I opted to just eat my salad as it took close to a half hour to prepare and after a long day in the car, I just wanted to eat and go to bed. The only positive thing about our visit was our server, very sweet, but took a long time for food and bill. The other staff that we encountered were not very friendly.

After a long drive from PA(DCTRAFFICSUCKS) we arrived at our hotel about 4 pm. This restaurant is located in the Holiday Inn. Choices in walking distance were subway, McDonalds or The Sporting News Grill. My wife and I and my 2 year old god daughter chose this place. I had the Angus Burger with cheese and onion rings, my wife the mushroom and swiss burger and my god daughter wanted sliders as on the menus, waitress said it was replaced with a small single burger(which was fine) and fries. We also ordered the steamed shrimp as appetizers. My god daughter and i had sweet tea(can’t get good sweet tea in the north) we both had multiple refills and waitress was great on them. A++ for that after 4 hrs in a Car. Shrimp came out and were huge and seasoned great old bay and other seasoning great unique taste. Burgers came out some time later and were good. Total bill 41.07 Not bad and with other available choices we made the right choice. Ps onion rings were great one looked like a battered pineapple :)

If I could delete stars I would. Driving up from south Florida and stopped for the night at the hotel across the street(Hampton inn which is great!) this was the closest dinner-like place within walking distance. It took 20 mins to have our order taken. The place was empty and it took an hour to get our food. Which arrived cold and greasy. First and last.

Not worth it. Service was slow, food was not good. I tried it twice with co-workers because it was close to work, but that was it. I’ll drive a littler further to find another place.

Stopped in here on my way home from Florida. The restaurant was pretty small with a lot of TV’s to watch sports. The receptionist and waitress were very pleasant, but that’s where the fun ended. The service was very slow. It took over 30 minutes for a cheese burger in an empty restaurant. On top of that, the burger was cold, cooked, but cold. I didn’t dare send it back for fear I’d never get out of there! If you happen to be in the area, drive to the next exit, and don’t waste your time or money.
