This is the closest BBQ place to my house & it sucks. Chop is terrible — super greasy & fatty. If you’re getting chop, ask for«off the block.» Slice is below average. Sausage is nothing special — could get much better at HEB. Sauce is bad & greasy. Sides are mostly pre packaged crap. The okra is either overcooked(burned) or soggy. Baked potato salad is solid butter & not in a good way, greasy also. Even the pie is lame. If not for the convenience I would never go here. Go to east Bernard, Wharton, katy, or back in Houston. So many better choices.

My daughter and I were going to Galvans BBQ on Memorial Day and found they were closed. So we decided to drive further into Richmond/Rosenberg looking for another BBQ place that would be open. Luckily we found Schulze’s! Honestly some of the best sausage I’ve ever had! Good ribs and brisket too. The hot baked potato salad was delish as well! We will be regulars now!

The best BBQ anywhere! I have eaten BBQ at places all over Texas including Coopers in Llano, Salt Lick in Austin, City Market in Luling, Hinzes in Wharton, Swinging Door in Richmond, Joe’s in Alvin, and various chains. Schulze’s is the best! The sauce is superb as well as the bake potato. They close early on Sunday so don’t go there for dinner. Prices are somewhat average for this higher quality BBQ. All meat selections are excellent.

This is the best BBQ in town! I have to say really great chop beef sandwich and there bake patato salad! It is near the historic downtown area of Richmond, tx. I would not waste any money on other BBQ places in Houston, sugar land or any places in the world. This is really the best of the best BBQ in TEXAS…
