Pretty solid park owned and maintained by Chesterfield County. It offers a half dozen or so baseball fields, basketball courts, an archery range, a nature center(never been inside), a dog park and both paved and stone dust trails. In terms of size and miles of trails, it pales in comparison to what you’ll find a few miles away at Pocahontas State Park. But when I lived nearby, I still came here with relative frequency for shorter runs. The 1.5 mile«orange trail» is well maintained, shady and offers pretty views of Gregory Pond. With a 1.3 mile paved trail and several shorter trail options, this is a great place for the casual hiker. When combined with the other amenities, it’s really quite solid for a free county maintained park and in my opinion is better than any of the Henrico County parks.
