Regency Moving & Storage

This review is NOT written by a competing moving company as the owner alluded that prior negative reviews had been. I used Regency Movers in May 2015 for a partial move of my house into their storage facility until my new home was built, and then to deliver my property to my new home.
I have relocated four times for business and this local move was the WORSE moving experience I have ever had.
They under estimate and over charge for their time. The truck in the picture and the old rusty truck that arrived at my home felt like a bait and switch. When I told them I could get another company for a lower hourly rate they lowered the rate to be competitive and then took ¹⁄₃ as long for the move which was already packed by my family, increasing the cost of my move.
Their movers were an hour late and then went to lunch after 3 hours. I was initially charged for their lunch hour at $ 125. Fortunately I had pictures of my property on the driveway and their truck gone to lunch. They charge to load your furniture onto the truck unload at their warehouse and then charge an hourly rate to pack the goods into their crates for storage. WHAT A RIP OFF.
When I told them I wanted to have another company move my furniture from their storage facility I was told I’d have to pay for the goods to be unloaded from the crates and left on their dock. I was so angry With Regency had to wait 90 days to write a coherent review.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I am writing a review completely opposite of the previous review. We used this company this week to move us from our 1,500 SF house to our new house. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 8:30 and 9:30, they arrived at 9:15. They moved all of our boxes, furniture and went to our storage unit and cleaned that out. They carefully wrapped every piece of furniture in blankets and carefully handled everything. They estimated 8 total hours. They were exactly on the mark. Starting at 9:15 and ended at 4:15. They were very reasonably priced as well. Jesse, Kevin and I’m sorry I forgot the third guys name were very nice, extremely polite and took great care of all of our items, large and small. I would recommend them to anyone needing to move.

Beware! I recently completed an in-​town move that was severely underestimated. They were off by over $ 1600 and threatened to litigate if I didn’t pay the full amount. Stay away from this predatory business.
