Piccola Crêpes and Coffee

The crepes and coffee were excellent! $ 5.50 for the sweet crepes and $ 3.50 for a macchiato i felt was a great deal. The bar was out of vodka, bartender said he was about to make a ABC run but it was 11 am on their behalf. But the only reason 5 stars was not given.

This used to be one of my favorite places when I went to VCU. I went back tonight with my fiancé and it was terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE! There is no indication the sit-​down restaurant side has split with the take-​out side until you see the menu. The Italian classics have been replaced with crepes and baked potatoes. It should have been our first clue when the place was literally empty on a Saturday night at 6:00, but we gave it a chance anyway. My fiancé had the soup of the day, which appeared to be chicken soup topped with cottage cheese. Honestly. We moved on to chicken wings and a cheese pizza. The wings were just ok, but the pizza was undercooked, underseasoned, and had way too much cheese on it. While we were eating, the chef stood at the bar and stared at us while taking shots of gin. Eventually, after the waitress/​bartender finished talking on her cell phone, we got our bill (which we had to go to the bar to pay at the iPad/​square) and ran for our lives!
Do yourself a favor and stick to the take-​out side.
