My Guys Moving & Storage

There are a lot of mixed reviews out there, but our experience with My Guys Moving was really good! We were moving about ten minutes up the road and wanted someone to move all the big pieces of furniture and the heavy boxes. My husband called and got a reasonable quote. We were told they’d arrive between 8 & 9am which they did. We were told it would probably be about 4 hours to move everything. It ended up being just slightly less. The crew was friendly and personable and fast.
We’ve been in the house for just shy of the month and can’t find any damage and there was only one or two boxes that were misplaced which I call a success. They ended up using some packing tape on items to secure the seal, which I wish they would’ve just pointed out to us because we had oodles of packing tape rather than being charged for it. However, it was our first time using professional movers so we didn’t know to say anything. And bottom line, the amount we paid still seemed fair and we were happy to pay it, having been the least stressful move of our marriage!
We’d definitely use them again and would be worth your time to get a quote.

I hired My Guys to pack and move our house from 1 location to about 10 miles away. Everything went fine. Nothing was broken. The crew was on-​time and professional. My only complaint is that the actual cost of the packing was considerably higher than the estimate. The most expensive part of packing is the «materials», not the labor. At the time of the move, when they told me of the actual cost, I just said «OK» and paid the difference. But, as I unpacked the boxes over the next several weeks, I noticed many, many, many boxes were filled only ¹⁄₃^rd full. They used way more materials than they needed. Extra large boxes were used when smaller boxes would have been fine. Or, if they were going to use large boxes, at least fill them ¾ to full. The contents of the boxes were not breakable. For example, one box had board games, one had sports equipment, one had sheets and towels, etc. So, if you use My Guys, you may want to inspect the boxes before they are taped shut.

The two gentlemen I hired to move me arrived early, worked their butts off and put forth an absolutely Heroic effort to get some very unwieldy pieces of furniture upstairs where I needed them. Nothing dropped, nothing bent, nothing broken and they were unfailingly cheerful the whole time even when it was clear we were all exhausted.

This is our second move with My Guys within the last 4 months. Another fantastic experience all the way around. Great customer service and a STRESS-​FREE move. We moved into a brand new construction and were very pleased with the care our stuff and new home received!

The gentlemen who enabled the recent move were very careful with furniture. They wrapped it in either paper or shrink rap or blankets. We were pleased with the level of competency shown. A great job.

Great job moving and helping to pack my things. They were great at moving a 10ft one piece antique armoire successfully up a small stairwell.

I had a great day moving thanks to the crew and office staff. They were polite and very careful with my large antiques. I had tried to rent a truck and draft a few guys but the day before the move, nobody would commit. I called My Guys (their new name) and they moved me the next day! I have had bad experiences with movers in the past but this company is different. They care, and and they stuck to the estimated cost. I can’t say enough good things about these folks. I recommend them highly.

We moved on June 20, 2013 and used My Guys. I had never used movers before and they exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed by our crew, they arrived on time, were very strong, careful and professional. We have many very delicate antiques and they all arrived unblemished because of the care taken by the movers. They exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this company.
