The coffee here is great and the atmosphere is even better. I tried out two speciality coffees while in town and my partner had an Americano. All coffees were very, very well done and tasty. And the donuts… so wonderful. Great selection of pastries. My partner and I had the pleasure of meeting Main Street Coffee’s owner. She is so pleasant and easy to talk to and has done a great job of putting the place together. The collection of artwork and cute gifts around the shop creates a vibe in and of itself. I found the bright colors and cool designs as well as its storefront to create a very welcoming atmosphere. I really enjoyed coming here and would recommend Main Street Coffee to locals and visitors alike!

Super friendly staff. Piping hot and properly brewed coffee is important to me and they have it here. A short stroll from Capitol Square makes it convenient to errbody in the general assembly.

The sweetest folks and such a great local place! Though it wasn’t on the menu, they made a scrumptious hot cider for me, and the breakfast menu was out of this world. Support this great, local place, and bring/tell your friends!

HOLYCRAP!!! People… if you live, work, walk, play downtown and you’re anywhere near this place during their business hours, you HAVE to go in and see the lovely people at Main Street Coffee. I’m not a big coffee shop kind of girl, and I used to pop in and out of Sugar Shack here and there when they were in this location, but this place? I can’t stay away. I’m glad I get to be the first reviewer, and I hate to see a place with such great staff and amazing… literally amazing… drinks go unnoticed and end up leaving. Main reasons: 1. The drinks. At first, I just had a coffee. The coffee here is delicious. I’ve only gotten regular ones so I can’t speak for the lattes and Americanos and cold brew and all of the fancy stuff, but it’s damn good coffee. Now, the frosted drinks? They put Starbucks to SHAME. The caramel frosted with espresso is the best tasting blended coffee drink I have ever had, anywhere. It has a nutty, warm taste, and the caramel is buttery but not overwhelming. I could seriously drink one every day. They also do iced tea, which is yummy, and they have plenty of flavors if you want something a little different. What prompted me to go ahead and get down to writing a review, though, is the soda. I got a small lemon lavender soda, by recommendation of the girl behind the counter, this morning and this soda is giving me everything I could’ve ever wanted. It’s fizzy, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet. They have a ton of flavors, so I will definitely be asking for something else. Soon. 2. The snacks. Main Street has been expanding since Day 1, when all they really had was cupcakes and bagels. The cupcakes are good– I’ll come back to those in a minute– and the bagels were just, well, bagels. Now they’ve added giant fritters, muffins, and cinnamon buns, and bbang, which is a Korean street food(«egg bread») and was, as almost everything else, amazing. I tried the egg one first, which had a whole egg in the center, and then I tried the cream cheese. Both delicious, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet and hearty for breakfast. They’ve also started carrying various nut milks, trail mix, and Nature Valley bars in addition to the assortment of coffees and teas you can buy inside. They even started trying out serving lunch, and have an option to get a platter of muffins and fritters. The options are all so great. 3. The staff– everyone here is super friendly and helpful. I met the owners when they were putting up the sign and they were so interested in getting to know people in the area and get feedback. Everyone at Main Street Coffee genuinely wants to be open and friendly and have business and get to know people and be the best darn little coffee shop downtown. They’re enthusiasm is apparent every time I walk in. It’s such a great atmosphere. Now, I couldn’t give them 4 stars for a couple reasons, and these reasons may be something they can look into to draw a few more people in– speed and pricing. People downtown want to get in and out. Chatting is reserved for lunch, but in the morning for coffee and snacks to start the day, speed is everything. The staff here really needs to pick up the pace. I love the place, I love talking to everyone, but when it’s 9:45 and I’ve got to be at work at 10, and I’m popping in to grab something before heading to the office, I honestly get a little annoyed at standing there waiting for espresso to be brewed, or for someone to painstakingly scrape every last drop of my frosted from the mixer, or for there to be confusion about how to ring an order on the tablet. I appreciate the attention to detail, but speed is an issue. The second thing is pricing. The coffee is fine and comparable to other places, but I feel like the sodas and teas are a little pricey. The cupcakes are also outrageous. $ 10 for 4 cupcakes, and they are very small. They are VERY good, don’t get me wrong, especially the chocolate and strawberry, and I would love to have a Pink Belle cupcake here and there but I can’t see spending almost $ 3 for one cupcake after tax. Just my opinion. All in all, this coffee shop is amazing and I would hate to see it go. Please stop in if you’re downtown and give them a try. This is one local business that definitely deserves support.
