Here’s some simple, tasty home cooking at a small town diner, where everybody knows your name. First visit, my group tried various burgers. Don’t expect gourmet here, but all the food we tried was good, portions were generous. I’d heard stories of this place being inhospitable to out of towners. Here was our experience. As we sat down on a busy Saturday night, we noticed the servers look at each other, hesitant to serve us. The older woman won out and was very friendly the entire night. I went expecting to be stared at or even glared at by customers, us being intruders in their domain. but that hardly happened. Only one fellow diner seemed to take issue with us, we noticed him staring a lot. Coulda been worse. Maybe having Cherry Hill ski resort up the road has made them more comfortable having strangers around. I enjoyed my meal here. Didn’t get to play but they also have pool tables in the back. Pleasant, comfortable dining room, good down home cookin’.I’ll be back.

Sure enough walk right in to the locals on the bar stools. The waitress was the cook right next to us we watched her cook it. Everything was homemade. We were not disappointed.

Every time the door opens at LD’s Café, a warm chorus of «Hey there, ________! How are you doin’?» ripples through the restaurant. This place is clearly the social hub of Richmond, Utah! As visitors from the big city we didn’t receive a grand hero’s welcome from the other patrons, however, the waitress behind the counter made up for it by being exceptionally friendly. LD’s Café is also a time machine. Step inside and you’re transported to a distant decade. Most of the seats in the restaurant are arranged around a large counter, whose surface is worn from decades of use. All walls are wood paneled and the décor is straight from the 70’s — a nature scene painted onto a huge slab of tree trunk adorns one wall, along with several smaller amateur paintings and hand written signs advertising daily specials. The back room features pool tables, a juke box, and a bar, though, sadly, LD’s doesn’t appear to serve alcohol. Suffice it to say I was in love with LD’s even before I sat down. I ordered a burger and fries and it was great. I ordered it LD’s style, with an additional bun between the bacon(two huge, crispy strips) and meat, and felt like it was a little unnecessary for a single burger. Aside from that, it was very good, and so were the fries. My friend ordered a chicken club sandwich, which he says was exceptional. I am definitely returning to LD’s Café! I want to try everything on the menu and teach all of the locals my name.

Small place but big food. I had the Russell burger, which has grilled ham but I also added an over easy egg on top. It was delish. I really liked the grilled onions that come on every burger. The fries were cooked perfectly and service was excellent. It’s just one cook running this place(likely the owner?) and I love that family run atmosphere. It’s important to support true local diners, especially when they feed you well every time. Will definitely be back. The pool tables in the back look like fun and are definitely a hot spot for locals in town.

Great small town café. A dying breed where I come from and a breath of fresh air. Good old fashioned home cooking with that small town USA feel. Food was tasty albeit a bit greasy and the fries with the sauce… Yummy.!! Fast friendly service and overall a great place to stop for some eats. Recommend this place to everyone, especially anyone who is traveling or from out of town.

Home style cooking where you can sit to be served or sit up by the town folk at the bar and stools. I have had lunch there and loved it and then did breakfast which was great! It has a very small town café feel because it is. I think it has a fun charm and the waitresses are super friendly and give good service.

Best way to spend an evening in Richmond. Back room to play pool and watch a game is great.
