I have purchased a lot of leather over the decades. Kelly’s is the BEST. Yes, I have strayed … lured away by the temptation of saving a few bucks; and I have regretted it every time. Not a huge selection, but they have all the leather essentials. They also do high quality custom leather work, repairs and alterations. A true artisan leather shop. 5 stars all the way!

Bought a belt here and it’s one of the best quality belts I’ve ever had. Super friendly staff. Nice to support a local small business that’s all about Made in America.
One caveat: any returns are store credit only with a receipt.

The first thing you see are pairs and pairs of old leather boots strung along the sidewalk railing outside of the store. You think, «hmm, ok, this could be fun…». You go inside. The great smell of leather comes along first, then the friendly person at the entrance, it’s a welcoming environment. They are very helpful and offer assistance but are not hovering. The selection of chaps, many varied styles of hats and caps, jackets and womens vests and halter tops — all leather and some with more design and «bling» factor than others — is exciting and interesting. I saw a long leather duster-​style coat, the quality of the leather and the workmanship was excellent, and I will save for it for sure and it’s on my Christmas wish list. They have luggage for bikes. A few styles of boots are on hand and they can get any size you need if its not there in the store. It’s a great place and you get what you pay for.

Always friendly people — many many items in stock to try on and feel which is priceless these days –yeah, you can go online and maybe find things cheaper but why not support a local business?

Kelly’s Leather Works is a very nice and somewhat reasonable store. This place tends to be well known among bikers, who tend to shop here. As a result, this shop is well stocked in boots, jackets, gloves, and motorcycle accessories, and the majority of those items are American made (always check the labels).
Not that this shop is limited to the items listed above… They have a lot more stock plus, including a $ 5/​bag scrap leather bin. They also do leather repairs. I would even go as far as to say they will do custom leather work.
I will say that their repair services are very good. I recently took in a cheap leather belt I purchased from a mall store (which will remain anonymous). Kelly’s happily repaired my belt (as well as enhanced it’s look) for free!
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good leather goods as well as a good source of reasonably priced ‘scrap’ leather pieces for projects or crafts.
EDIT (12÷3÷07):
A few days ago, I visited Kelly’s in order to purchase a new belt for my kilt as well as see if they could make me a new keep for my watch. They made a very nice all leather custom belt for my kilt, and they even included a buckle for it. They also made a new keep for my watch out of leather, for free.
I cannot express how happy I am with Kelly’s, and how grateful I am that they fixed my watch band for free.
