Worst service. If I could I’d give no stars. Sat for 20 minutes until someone even asked if we wanted to order thankfully this other waitress noticed us. The original waiter never came and followed up. Waited 40 minutes and still didn’t get a cup of water. Flagged the original waiter to finally get water. 4 tables got their food before we did. Got my to go milkshake and it tasted like plastic, ordered another and it still tasted like radioactive plastic. I think it may have been the to go cup but didn’t order another one. I had to spit out the second one. Since the waitress was nice I didn’t ask for a refund and just left both plastic tasting milkshakes on the table. I originally went in for a milkshake and left without one.

If I could give this place no stars I would! Literally walked in and the servers sat in a circle and stared at me. Couldn’t even get a hey or what can I get you! First visit and .2 seconds in, I hated it. Don’t come here if you’re looking for good customer service. Not even going to try the milkshakes I ordered, probably as crappy as the service.

This place was anything but clean! Trash can next to grill, floor dirty, tables sticky, silverware was dirty and salt & pepper shakers were grimy feeling. Our waiter was extremely nice!

We went here for our son because we read servers danced(they didn’t), they had a free burger offer(wouldn’t accept an electronic version although the email said they would), and service was slow. Food was mediocre. This was our first time, and we wont be back!

Easy and short review: Red Robin is way better. Five Guys is way better. There are diners and bars and other hamburger joints that are way better. Don’t let the neon 1950s fake décor suck you in. This place frankly isn’t good. All hype. No culinary backup. Hamburgers and fries pale in comparison to the aforementioned. Shakes too. Pass. Forever.

Came to johnny rockets for dinner last night about 30 minutes before they closed, and it was great. With them closing in 30 minutes I was hesitant to even go in, thinking if we ate their we would be rushed and the service wouldn’t be great, boy was I wrong! Our waiter was quite possibly the nicest waiter I’ve ever had, I wish I would have gotten his name though. He was fantastic! He made sure everything we ordered was in tip top shape and even dealt with my young nephews crazy antics. Ordered a burger and fries, as one should at johnny rockets, and it was delicious. As long as that waiter is around we will definitely return!

Not impressed. I would think that when you order a glass of water with your meal, the server would include ice without having to be asked. Would also think that if he couldn’t remember who had which bacon cheese burger, he would have ask about that too. Guess he was to busy worrying about mopping the floor so that he could leave at 9:00, after rushing us out. Do yourself a favor, Stay in the car for the extra mile and go to Red Robin. Burgers are about the same price but the whole experience is three times better and the staff will not stand and stare at you while waiting for you to swallow your meal while. Better variety of milkshakes too. Two stars is being generous.

Wow, this was super slow. The service took forever. The food was only fair. I was not impressed. Not worth the wait or the price which was suprisingly high for ok-food. Had the Smokehouse single which was undistinguished. Sweet potatoe fries were a huge expense add on for not that much better taste. Definitely not going again when I’m in RVA.

I ordered onion rings and a creamsicle milkshake. The milkshake was great with the right amount of sweetness. The onion rings were OK, not my favorite. They felt kind of hard for onion rings, I’m not sure what went wrong but that’s what kept them from getting 5 stars. The real highlight was my server. Caroline is friendly, upbeat, and a very pleasant person to be around. Sitting at the bar, I watched as she checked tickets against the food and caught a couple minor oversights. It’s refreshing to see someone who does their job so well!

After a long day of playing tennis and then watching the new Hunger Games next store without really eating dinner, I quickly entered the Hungry Games. /forced joke. I do love burgers though and because it was right there, we decided to give it a go. –Food: I ordered a Smokehouse burger with fries and my fiancée ordered chicken tenders. The burger was a good size(1⁄3 pounder) and had fried onion rings, bacon, cheddar cheese, and a smoky BBQ ranch sauce. The bacon was a little odd, but all together it was a pretty decent burger. My fiancée’s chicken tenders were more or less typical diner chicken tenders, and the fries pretty much the same. Not everything needs to be glorious, but at the same time, nothing really stood out. –Cost: The cheeseburger and fries I had was roughly $ 10, as was the Tenders meal. A couple dollars cheaper seems more appropriate given the quality and quantity of the food, but it’s probably a corporation set value. –Atmosphere: The interior is supposed to be themed like a 50’s diner. I was born in the 80’s so I’m not sure how accurate they are, but a quick Google search confirms their intent. It wasn’t the cleanest of restaurants, but it wasn’t too dirty to eat there. –Service: Despite there being only 10 or so people in the place, service and the wait staff seemed pretty slow. Our waitress was nice, but didn’t check with us often. –Overall: After seeing the reviews and eating here, I’m not sure I quite agree that it’s a 1 star place. There are certainly tons of better places, but it was an enjoyable meal overall. I would go back, but honestly I feel I’d rather just spend $ 4 on couple McDoubles and some fries.

Awful customer service here. My other half and I came to try their«acclaimed» vegan burger. There were only 3 people working and one was on the grill. The food was delivered in a timely way and was hot but lacked flavor. The young lady who waited us never refilled our drinks and made us wait 6 minutes after we received our food for napkins and silverware. The floors were ridiculously dirty on top of that. We will not be returning.

My wife picked this on a whim, and what a mistake! The food is comparable to a typical hospital cafeteria– the burgers were overcooked, the fries remind me of the lunch line in middle school, and the Philly cheese steak was an insult to the city and the sandwich. The worst part of this particular location is the service. Our poor young waiter was hapless. He managed to mess up an order for a salad– and when the salad did arrive, he brought an unrequested side item: a side salad for our salad! A few minutes later, he rushed back, said sorry, and grabbed the side salad. I’m convinced that another customer ended up with it. It was kids’ night, so they were supposed to eat for free, but that only happened after we showed him the receipt. All of this happened while there were two cooks, a manager, and three waitstaff in a restaurant with only three tables of customers.

I’ve been here twice in the last month. The food is average and the service is VERY poor. There’s at most been 3 tables/booths and they struggle. The shift managers give no direction. Our waitress is overcome by events with 2 tables!!! Being an individual who worked in a restaurant I understand the goods & bads of the industry demands. This place needs guidance and direction. Too many places to eat in the West End… I’d pass on Johnny Rockets!

Not being libel, slanderous, or defaming. Just reporting what I saw. Two waitresses, with hair hanging below their shoulders were in and out of the food prep area, making shakes. Hair was not pulled back, or in nets. May be code violation. Witnessed one of the waitresses attempting to open a chocolate syrup bottle. She couldn’t get the seal off with her fingers, so she used her teeth! I’m a little more certain that this is a code violation. I reported this to the manager. This is not Libel, Slander or Defamation. This is a report of events that I observed. This is verifiable by another witness. I will not return.

Meh is about the only word that works for our late lunch experience yesterday. The music was loud, and horribly harsh — no low end, just like a Todd Rundgren produced record. Some of the lights were out, making the whole place a little dark. I had a tuna melt which was really skimpy on the tuna, my friend had a bacon cheeseburger which seemed like a good size sandwich, although a tad greasy. The manager who came by reminded us that we could get more fries for no charge, but the server just wanted to drop off the check, not offer us anything more. There was a sign outside mentioning All You Can Eat pancakes in the morning, but the posters inside said that only applies on Saturday and Sunday. Or, as the sign said«Saturday’s» and«Sunday’s».(Dear Johnny Rocket, an apostrophe does not mean«look out, here comes an S!») For better or worse, we didn’t experience any singing or dancing waitstaff. If I had a kid, I might consider going in for the«kids eat free» deal on «Tuesday’s», but I can get a better diner type experience at a local place like Jerry’s.

My first time here… Have to say I loved the old school soda shop diner feel to the place. All of the employees looked like they just fell out of a 1960s movie… Very cute… The waiter was great, he was extremely friendly and helpful. I had no idea they did some kind of dance in here when the place is full. But my bf told me they do so we asked the waiter and he happily said yes they do and they would be glad to dance for us. But wanted me to join. Well. That didnt happen but they did dance for me and I enjoyed watching them dance to an old school song to stay with the theme of the place. The food we ordered was awesome, i got a bacon cheddar single burger, and an oreo cookies and cream shake… One word… Yummy… Cant find any other word as fitting. It came with unlimited fries, nice touch but I was so full from the burger there was no need. The shake was thick and delicious, they even gave me extra in the shaker silver cup thing they made it in, but i couldnt finish all of that anyway. I will for sure return to this place and recommend to anyone else to stop in and have a burger.

I wanted to try the Onion Rings, as I have heard a lot about them. They were lightly battered in a batter with a Sourdough breadcrumbs. To my much surprise they were nice battered; evenly cooked and the onions on the inside were fresh and not old. They gave some Ranch Dressing for a side dipping sauce. I feel they could have been more original on this. The dressing did not have much taste. I would go back and the next time, I will have to try one of their hamburgers and the Milkshakes look inviting. The service over all was not bad. It was not busy and I felt like she could have come around more often. I had a good experience and I plan to go back…
