We came on a Tuesday traffic was steady. We did a tasting which is basically 6 for $ 5. They threw 3 more in so we tasted 9 wines and ciders and ended up buying the ones they threw in We sat on the screen porch with a bottle of cider and enjoyed a huge cheese and fruit plate for $ 6 per person. Staff was helpful not pushy and very casual during the tasting.

This area apparently does not realize the wonder that are donuts because it is really rough trying to find a place that makes them. We found this oniline and were there when they opened at 9 to get a fresh half dozen. Very tasty and reasonably priced, but a total haul to find!

Visited on Memorial Day, very happy that they were open and the man working there was extremely helpful, and gave us a couple extra wines we could try. We loved the Shiraz and bought a bottle of that for the night. Great spot!

What a great place to go on a fall morning. My wife and I went there to buy one of their apple pies(delicious) but stayed and had fresh donuts and hot, spicy cider. Equally delicious. Fun to visit but very popular so parking can be an issue.

This place was great! We had a wine tasting here. Our pourer was very lovely. Even though she was very busy, she took great care of us. My girlfriends and I decided to split a bottle of wine and sit by the fireplace. It was very cold inside even by the fireplace. Their apple cider was very good too. Also make sure you get some donuts to go. They were so fresh and delicious!

We came at the worst time possible. There were several large groups in the tasting room when we arrived. We awkwardly stood aside while we made our way to the bar. Once there, we were warmly greeted by true staff and presented with one of the most expansive tasting menus I’ve ever seen. We sampled several of the whites which were lovely but nothing too special. The Reds on the other hand were all very unique and we ended up purchasing several bottles. What really separates Hilltop from all the other wineries are the specialty options. The cidre and ice wine are to die for. Definitely a welcome change of pace to the traditional tasting. If we’re ever in the area again we’ll be back for another tasting.

I’ve been to Hilltop several times. The wine and apple cider donuts are so good! I also had my friends bridal shower here. They gave me different menu options to choose from and the food was delicious! We had wine tasting and smores as well which was fantastic. The staff was so nice and very helpful. Everything went well and they made the planning so easy and stress free. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have this event. I’d definitely recommend Hilltop Orchards!

The orchard itself is really beautiful, with a few hiking trails(ranging from easy to moderate) and great views of nearby hills and mountains. I’d definitely recommend taking a hike, though after a rainstorm, some of the trails get a bit muddy(bring hiking boots). The wine tasting is a must at $ 5 for 6 wines — I wound up buying a few bottles of wine and having a glass of wine by the fireplace after the tasting. Make sure you try the apple cider donuts before leaving — they are spectacular. Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had.

Fantastic cider donuts! I found out they sell them year round and that is dangerous information! My family just goes for the cider donuts and that is always a treat.

A beautiful orchard with hiking trails and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains… not to mention they have wine tasting and apple cider donuts! You can taste 6 wines for $ 5, and while they’re not enormously different from what you find at other wineries, all the varieties I tried were good. If they have the French style cidre available, be sure to try it, since that is one you won’t necessarily find elsewhere. As for the donuts… well, my husband and I went back for more after we left. That should tell you enough. This is a great place to spend a few hours on a sunny autumn day. Whether you’re apple picking with your family or wine tasting with friends, this place has something for everyone.

Heading toward Vermont to see foliage, we stopped at Hilltop Orchard and Winery. The donuts are excellent –must try. They have six white wines, five red wines, two sparkling, three hard ciders and one ice wine. I loved the Johnny Mash Hard Cider, Riesling, Mead and Shiraz. We even took home them.

This is a beautiful apple orchard perched on a hilltop(where else?) turned winery in the late 1990’s. The wine grapes are not local(mostly from LI) and the wines we tasted are mostly meh, but the apples shine here(message: try the hard cider — it’s the bomb)! Nice people — very comfortable space — worth a look.

Went here for the wine tasting. It was $ 5 a person and we got to chose 6 different wines from a decent sized list. All the wines for very good. We even bought a glass and sat by the fire. The ambiance is great and perfect place to hang out on a cold winter day. This place also offers snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

Amazing customer service props for Robert!!! I don’t drive on snow much so of course I got my jetta stuck heading out of the farm– he pulled me out of the snow bank in two seconds. Such a great place for wine tasting! Gorgeous scenery and lots of variety of wine and cider!

One word… Reggie!!! She completely made the experience for us. She was absolutely wonderful. I felt like I was sitting down having a class of wine with an old friend catching up. What more could you ask for a beautiful spring afternoon… beautiful grounds, delicious tastings, cider donuts and maple syrup! That’s a home run in my book! Awesome place to an afternoon and get lost from the rest of the world!

They are packed in the fall on weekends. — live music — wine tastings — events for the kids — apple picking — gift shop The place has a little bit of everything. If you hate crowds then I strongly discourage going here. They have a great cider and they give samples of it. Too bad it’s so stinking expensive. I really want to get a couple of wines from here so I think it’s worth going back!
