I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Howard Kahn to anyone. I had an appointment to discuss a presumptive celiac diagnosis and after quickly realizing I had not interest in paying for an expensive endoscopy, Dr. Kahn promptly lost interest in me and told me that «We tell all of our patients to search online for things to avoid.» He clearly was more interested in spending 5 minutes of his time scoping me so he could bill the insurance for several thousand dollars versus doing a 30 minute preventative appointment with me to discuss the new diagnosis, which he could only bill for a couple of hundred dollars. To make matters worse, after paying my bill, in FULL, they still sent the bill to a collections agency. I only became aware of this fact more than a year later because I happened to check a credit report. After SEVERAL back and forth calls with Gastrointestinal Specialists and the collections agency, I finally found out that it was GS’ mistake and it would be removed. However, I didn’t find that out from the unhelpful people at GS I had to hear it from collections (GS refused to tell me ANYTHING about my bill). Completely unimpressed with Gastrointestinal Specialists quality of work on all fronts. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor.
