I have to tip my hat to the marina office staff. I have been on the waiting list for a 44 foot slip for 2 ½ years. An end-tie finally became available. Unfortunately, after completing all of the necessary paperwork, I was informed that the initial quote I was given was lower than the end-tie I was assigned, since an end-tie can accommodate a much wider boat. I was really discouraged and almost refused the slip. However, the office staff was extremely professional and customer service oriented. They listened to my concerns and agreed that I should not pay the higher price. Yesterday, I moved my boat into the slip at Brickyard Cove. I received an email from Carey today again apologizing for the confusion, and it appears they are really trying to do right by me. It is nice to find businesses that are customer oriented, and I am pleased to give Brickyard Cove a very positive review.

I have been looking for a new marina to move my boat to and stopped by here today and was told that they require $ 100 to fill out an application and they need to see my boat before they will rent me a slip… they really think that it’s The Richmond Rivera! The restaurant sucks and you have to take your life into your own hands to get there driving through the ghetto, there are oil tanks all over the place, and it is really out of the way unless you live there… you have to be kidding me!

Great place to be a member, enjoy the people I’ve met, great staff, very few problems, great sailing right out of the harbor! Enough said, go and enjoy, understand there are policies that we all have and want to deal with, adjust or check into the policies before getting involved! Look forward to continuing my membership for years to come!

Brickyard Cove is a great marina. the amenities are just right; nice docks, clean restrooms/shower room, decent rates, the staff is wonderful and the harbormaster is a cutie(and his fur is so soft). when we were searching for a marina, we checked out the Marina Bay Yacht Club, Berkeley Marina and The Richmond Yacht Club. Brickyard Cove beat them all out. it’s nice to have the little town of Point Richmond nearby to catch dinner or pick up some supplies. we also like to have breakfast at All’s Fare, the local diner at the dock. but, hands-down, the greatest thing about this place is how fast we can get out onto the bay and get the sails up. it takes just minutes! the only thing i would like to see is free wifi. they had something set up but apparently it’s not worked out well and they’re changing over to something else, but it’s sure taking awhile for it to get set up. other than that, we love this marina!

I really hate to say anything, because this is one of those I don’t want to share… I know, call me a bad Unilocaler… but, it’s just too quiet and wonderful just the way it is.
