Passed it and thought, ‘meh why not. My sister and it stopped in for the flame fired pizza. Not too bad! Flame grilled wasn’t as tasty as another fun find, coal fired pizza, but pretty darned good. We had artichoke, spinach, and tomatoes — it was fresh and tasty. The crust was cooked well, not too doughy. I like to save in calories and just eat the parts if the pizza with the cheese and toppings, I ate one piece of crust and it was good(I do usually like it crisper, but that’s a personal preference). Definitely a great family atmosphere, great place for lunch or bring the kids or bring the ball team after a game. One thing that was killing us was we couldn’t figure out what it used to be… We were guessing McDonald’s? That being said, we did like that we couldn’t judge what it used to be. It has been changed enough so that all you see is them! If you’re in the area and like pizza, stop in!

So disappointed the last time I dined in. I ordered stuffed shells and a side salad. After waiting for awhile no salad came. My main dish arrived and I asked where my salad was. I guess she didn’t know I ordered it(weird) so she goes and brings me back this absurdly huge dinnerplate size salad it’s mostly iceberg lettuce. This was lunch time) it was way too much and I was pretty full by the time it arrived anyway. The worst part was that the marinara sauce that came with the stuffed shells had a very seafood clam taste to it. I was done at that point and wished I didn’t waste my money. I’ll just stick to ordering pizzas from now on

Apollo’s is the perfect place to bring a family for a pizza dinner or just grab a late night slice of pizza! They never fail my craving for a good/quick slice of wood fired pizza. The price and portion size are reasonable and the dining area is always kept clean with great service. BUT don’t wait too close to closing if you only want pizza by the slice because options will be slim to none.

The food is quite good and fresh, sometimes a language barrier with a few of the wait staff, and sometimes inattentive service. For example getting a pizza with the wrong toppings and no offer of drink refills. They serve very limited wine($ 4.95 glass of Barefoot pinot grigio) beer. Apollo’s has some of the best pizza in Richmond, and great salads. They have dine in and carry out, delivery too. If you order carry out it is ready pretty quickly. There is an Apollo’s in the west end but this location has more seating and booths. It’s not a fancy place but great value and quality food.

This place is well known for their famous brick oven-baked Pizza. They do have many other locations in Richmond; but I decided to try out this place because I was already around this location and it was a last minute decisions. Which I’m glad I made! They have a full menu. Featuring appetizers to warm you up, sandwiches, pastas, salads, desserts, and of course, their stone oven-baked pizza. I had their appetizer platter and my favorite was the curly fries. I ordered their combination pizza and I can actually see my pizza being put in the oven since its in the front of the restaurant and you know you’ll actually getting good quality made pizza. The crust was just right. I pull out a slice of pizza as cheese stretched out and it was sooo good. This seems like a great place to throw birthday party of all ages. Friendly staff, nice and tidy clean restaurant.

Our server was awesome but I was not a fan of the pizza. Oven pizza crust usually has a thinner crust and a nice yeast dough. This pizza had thick crust and was overly sauced. For a place to take the kids out for pizza its fine but it did not ring any bells for me. Thanks for the great service and clean bathrooms Apollo.

We were on our way home, it was late and Unilocal reviewers can’t be wrong, well most of the time! Apollos is great, they were busy but the service was friendly and fast and the pizza was delicious. It was fresh, hot and the crust was just right. The restaurant is spotless and there were many families, couples and groups enjoying pizza.

My boyfriend and I have ordered here several times but have never had this issue. The pizza was delivered promptly but the whole pizza was mushed to the left side of the box. The delivery person also dropped my order of mozzarella sticks. I attempted several times to call but the line was busy. It being a Friday night I can understand why but what a way to ruin someone’s pizza night.

We have enjoyed Apollos for several years. All of the food has been excellent and the prices are very fair. The Greek salad with chicken is our favorite with a piece of pizza. Everyone always greets us and is very friendly. This is one of the few very, very clean restaurants!

Good pizza, of a sort that sates cravings as needed– in this instance the cravings of a small group without making my wallet cry. I’d certainly recommend the place, particularly to groups with kids or to groups [like mine] that don’t necessarily feel up to acting like boring adults since it’s not some crazy expensive upscale gourmet pizza place as one occasionally stumbles into in this age of newfound food snobbery.

Pizza was good, better than any fast food pizza. We went at lunch time on a Saturday and they weren’t busy. The service was excellent and quick. We never once ran out of drink. We will definitely remember this place when we are down that end of Midlothian Tpk.

Went with a group after work. Seating was not a problem. Place was clean. Descent specials. Large, gas fired oven to cook pizza(automatic 1 star for not cooking on a conveyor belt!) Service was very good. We had three pies, all different. They arrived about the same time. We ended up here after the insistence of one in our group who insists that this is best pizza ever. He’s from St. Lois and I guess they just don’t have great pizza there so I won’t hold his opinion against him. In any event the pizza was good. Not great IMO, but better than Domino’s, Papa Johns, etc. I would certainly not discourage anyone from eating there.

Food and service was great. It is family owned restaurant. The atmosphere is nice for a family. The hamburgers are huge. Not quite«How I met your mother» burger but great.
