Stayed here twice; upstairs was nice no problem downstairs roaches! staff didn’t want to refund my money only gave me 50% money back

This hotel has a horrific ant infestation! I’m beginning to think the hotel sits atop of a gigantic ant mound. When I entered my room a spied a few ants no biggie. I sipped juice, sat the EMPTY cup on the nightstand, left for no more than a half hour, returned to the nightstand COVERED, and I mean COVERED with ants! I had trouble finding the cup beneath the thick layer of ants. I’ve never seen anything like this! I followed the highway of ants to see where «traffic» was coming from. Underneath the nightstand it looked as though the floor was moving. Oh my… perhaps this is why the pattern in the carpet was ant-​colored? Hey not so fast… There had to be at least 500 lil black creepy soldiers marching in glee celebrating the find of the century… Out of curiosity I cautiously looked behind the bed and nearly fainted! This was the great highway! March of madness for sure. Hundreds of little black dots moving in unison towards the holy grail.
Although I’m exhausted and completely spent from a loooong busy day I call an Expedia customer service team member, who by the way was extremely empathetic and professional, instructed me to go to the front desk and discuss the issue. Ok I go down and Sydney (I think was his name) is aware of the situation and offers to spray the room with me in it because there’s no vacancies. I indicated that I’m highly allergic to chemicals. Option 2 is to discuss this situation with the manager the next morning. So I have to endure sleeping with ants! Although I’ve managed to remove the cup from the room the lil black marchers remain in search of the find. Hundreds are beneath my bed, on the nightstand, on my pillow, trying to sleep with me. Hey I don’t do one-​nighters. I tossed and turned all night woke up with a case of itchiness. Needless to say I was tired, cranky and looked like crap warmed over. The reason I chose this hotel was because it was clean, quiet and had air conditioning unlike my home nearby. The hotel failed miserably in the cleanliness department. DON’T WASTE YOUR $$$$!
Also when I checked in I noticed several guys in «wife-​beaters» sipping brews.
