Went in today to have some keys made that «according to others» would not have been able to make. The clerk at the counter was very quick, efficient, and pleasant! I will definitely recommend this company and use them again in the future, hopefully with bigger projects! Thank you!!!

Horrible company — do not trust. Called them for re-​key — we gave complete detailed information on lock configuration — they quoted $ 190, daytime service.
Technician gets there hours late and says «job will be over $ 400». I ask to honor original quote. I offer $ 250. Guy gets rude and leaves.
I called owner — no help — didn’t care what the original estimate was.
After waiting all afternoon for American Lock, they left us stranded at 6pm with an unsecure apartment.
I called another locksmith who came in 90 minutes, evening rates, and he charged $ 150 for the same work. Only took him 45 minutes once on-​site.
I consider it despicable business practices by American Lock of giving a quote, doubling the cost when they get there, and leaving you if you don’t pay their excessive rates.

Very impressed with my visit today. I called and asked a handful of questions about my vehicle’s key and ignition system and all were answered with very direct and honest feedback.
I quickly made my way down to their shop and was fixed (2 new keys cut, and lock cylinders cleaned out) in less than 30 minutes and now have a perfectly functioning/​starting car for a very reasonable price.
Highly recommended!
