103.7 Richmond’s Best Alternative WURV-FM

Ok this probably makes me super old, but I really like this station.
I must caveat this by saying I’m not a huge local radio fan, I usually listen to XM (I am ashamed to admit that) or I plug in my Ipod while I drive.
However, this week I drove my husband’s car, which is sans XM and my Ipod is dead, so I ended up listening to the radio. I felt very 1999… I was searching around for good tunes, etc.
Anyway, I stumbled upon this station because they were playing a song from the late 90s that I legitimately haven’t heard in a million years… Never There by Cake.
They are committed to playing 53 minutes of music per hour (which is pretty decent… I can deal with 7 mins of ads over the course of an hour…) and they don’t talk over songs…
CLUTCH.
So fine, I’m not sure I heard the latest Coldplay song on there, and I don’t think Katy Perry songs will be on there anytime soon.
But they played Hey Jealousy recently, and if you don’t believe you can check out their playlist on their website…
Try them out. If you really like them– you can listen online whenever you want! No need to be trapped in a car.
