TL: DR — Pizza joint just a bit off the road coming from St. Simons going to ATL — Décor needs some serious upgrading — Pizza was good, came out quick. — Bonus — Kids liked it, nobody complained, made the drive home smooth. — Unlike other reviews, our staff seemed pleasant and nice.

Nice spot to grab a quick slice of pizza and salad for lunch. Reasonably priced and good food. Not always the fastest service but have never encountered an issue here.

I always get a large ham and pepperoni pizza and they never let me down. Their«wraps» are also delicious. Their house salad has a lot of cheese and French fries… do you see what I’m getting at here. Fast friendly service ALL the time! You won’t be disappointed.

We’ve only been once & the A/C was broken. The dining area feels dark & service was slow. I honestly don’t remember how the food was. Everyone was in a bad mood & we just wanted to eat fast & get out before suffering heat exhaustion.

Almost every time I call for delivery, they tell me they aren’t delivering that night. Why offer a service you never follow through on?

If you like saltine cracker tasting thin crust then you would give this place a 5 star rating. I’m not fond of that type of crust myself. I like a more doughy crust. We ordered garlic bread for a family of four. Very glad we ordered 2. One order is basically a top or bottom sub bun cut into four tiny pieces. Very skimpy portions and no dipping sauces. The waitress did a great job so service was excellent! I absolutely love mom and pop places and by all means I wish this restaurant the best of luck. Maybe you could offer some different types of crust and have garlic or other different flavor crusts, just a thought:)

Not worth it. The crust tasted like something from the freezer section and the cheese didn’t stretch or taste like a quality mozzarella. We will keep looking for better.

Décor is outdated and a little gross. Servers were friendly but slow. Pizza was mediocre at best. Won’t be back here.

Food is bland and no where near what real Italian food tastes like. I’ve eaten here several times over the ten years I’ve lived in the area and service is usually pretty bad. Food takes too long to be served.

I know, I know, it’s all about the food. When service is bad, it is sometimes okay if the food makes up for it. The food here is good – for pizza. I’d say, one of the better pizza places in Richmond Hill. However, it is not good enough to warrant the disappointing service. To be blunt up front, we didn’t even have management come to our table to apologize for the mistakes they made. Management was there, but didn’t even bother to give us a look. Our family came hungry and figured a pizza place would be great for the kids and our stomachs. We ordered some appetizers, and of course, a pizza(the main reason for the visit). We received our appetizers with no problem. A looooong-time later, the waitress comes by and says that she forgot to give the cooks our ticket for the pizza. She apologized and said that they would expedite our pizza. All the while, pizzas are flowing left and right, out the door and to other guests, some of which came after us. Another looooong-wait occurs and still no pizza. We finally decide to leave(should have done so the first time around), and as we are leaving our pizza is ready. We decided to leave anyway in disgust. In their defense, they at least offered the pizza to-go and at no charge.

We took a friend and her family here for her birthday on a Tuesday night. We were told to sit wherever we wanted so we choose a large booth in the back as we had small children. We wanted beers an the waitress had no idea what they had. We ordered the grilled cheese for the kids before we decided what we wanted in hopes that they would have their food well before us. It took 30 minutes to get the kids food and almost an hour for us to get two pizzas. We sat at the table with empty cups more than once for longer than acceptable. In total we were at the restaurant for almost two hours. The pizza was OK but the crust was really hard and the toppings were all crowded in the middle. I felt it was over priced at $ 2.00 per topping and the restaurant was really hot and muggy. We were excited to try this place for quite a while but sadly it fell short of acceptable. We won’t be returning EVER!!!

My husband and I met our friend here for lunch and were really happy. The buffalo wings(medium) were fantastic. Plus you get a bakers dozen for your money so you have some to take home or plenty to share. My husband got the Cajun Alfredo and really liked it. I just got a slice of pizza with green olives and pepperoni and have no complaints. We will definitely be coming back. Upper Crust is definitely more of a hole-in-the-wall and the outside appearance may deceive you. GIve it a shot before you write it off. :)

This place has progressively slid down hill. The owner needs to take a more active part in change here. You could start with their servers. Don’t bother going to this place if it’s within 2 hours of closing. The staff will not only give you a bunch of attitude but they aren’t shy in hiding it. Look, if you don’t’ like your job then quit. I keep hoping the owner fixes the staffing problem but it hasn’t happened yet. Pizza is hit or miss. Upper Crust needs to tear this building down and rebuild. The inside is very unclean and smells funny. I’m wondering if the health dept has been out here lately. I’ll be honest it’s worth the drive to skip this place and either drive into Savannah or drive down the road a mile or so to Bito’s Pizza.

Upper Crust caught my eye as I drove through Richmond Hill a couple of weeks ago. You really have to keep your eyes open to spot Upper Crust. It’s not located in a strip mall. I feel lucky that I spotted it. In a nutshell Upper Crust has good food with a different atmosphere. It was nice to eat pizza in a different setting than that of Pizza Hut, Domino’s or Pizza Inn. Saturday night we decided to give it a try. The nice waitress we had took our drink order and brought us our cokes in jars. I loved drinking from the jar. I think it made the coke taste even better. We started off with a fried calamari appetizer. The calamari was average. It wasn’t the best or worst I’ve ever had. The calamari’s flavor was good. I think that it was just over fried. The marinara sauce they served for the calamari was just average. Our main course was a medium pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and bacon. It looked super tasty. The pizza sauce and toppings were delicious, but the pizza crust was just average once again. If you want you can even order your pizza, pick up the pizza and cook it at home. They offer you the option of creating your pizza and taking it home to cook it. They have huge menu to choose from and a bar. I will return to Upper Crust and try some other items off their menu. My favorite thing about Upper Crust is the atmosphere.

This place has the best chicken fetticini alfredo ever! It was delicious. I lived in Savannah and would drive out just for this dish. It’s a quiet town, fun to to go alone and enjoy a quiet meal. The Owner is very nice and the staff at the time seemed friendly but young.

I had a taste for some great pizza, being that I’m less than five miles away from this place, I gave it a try. The pizza is not what I expected, based on their name«The Upper Crust’. The pizza is not great, kind of like a cardboard box flavor with anchovies, and cheese added, I think they use a premade dough base, since my ingredients were not actually cooked into the bread, as if it was simply laid on top. and thrown into the oven, half cooked. The place is suitable for the those suffering from taste bud deficiency. The atmosphere is not my type, snooty, stuck up individuals thinking that the pizza served here is worthy of being called pizza.
