We always order from Tandoori Hut because we can always count on their food to be truly SPICY. The only downside is that the food may take 30 – 45 minutes for delivery. But it’s as delicious as can be!

3 – 3.5* Delivery can take very long. My last order showed up over 45 minutes past the already rescheduled delivery time(around two hours total!). It was a holiday, so forgivable. I recall an earlier order not taking quite as long. The food is decent, but has been hit or miss for me. Good naan, good samosas. Chicken tikka masala wasn’t floating in oil the next day, so that was a plus. Overall good flavor, decent quality chicken. Dal makhani also good, but garlic-heavy. Both needed more spice, but I ordered medium. I know for next time that I can easily go up a level. Chili chicken was also pretty good. I did not care at all for their shrimp curry or chicken vindaloo. The shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. The chicken was bone-in and there was more bone and fatty parts than meat. Most of both dishes were discarded. None of the entrees come with rice or naan, so you’re looking at an extra $ 5 or so per meal, making their prices a little high for the area/cuisine. I’d order from here again, just not when I’m starving.

After ordering from this joint exclusively for over ten years, this might be the last time we visit for a very very long time. We had a pretty large order for example, and I adamantly, specifically requested onions and chili as salad. Of course they didn’t include it. And this time was not the first time they do stuff like this. And I’ve never been to an Indian spot where they don’t include rice as part of the entrée dish. I’d say this one of those places where you go for the food and not the service. Thanks Tandoori Hut but it’s time for a change.

Weren’t open when they said they were for delivery. Would do zero stars if I could as they misrepresented their services.

This is my second time ordering from them. Food is good. My favorite Chicken Tikka Masala, black dal tadka, and Aloo Baigan. Be prepared to wait an hour for delivery but it’s worth the wait.

Good food. Service not so good. Someone needs to know more English at the front end. They do cook to order though so expect a wait. Trying delivery now so we shall see…

The food is great here. Just a warning people, it’s best to come here and eat in the restaurant rather than waiting on delivery. They take forever to deliver your food. The Chicken Makhani, Daal, and Nuns are really good here. I would definitely come back here again.

Worst service ever!!! We ordered 3 naans, one daal, and one malai kofta at 9 pm. We received the food at 10 pm. While waiting, the waiters/waitress didn’t even acknowledge our presence or ask us if we wanted any drinks, etc. When we got the food, the daal was cold, but the naans and the malai kofta were great. The one star above is only for the good food. Service was very bad and I do not recommend you come here to eat, especially on Mother’s Day.

This is a quiet little restaurant but the food here is phenomenal! I love everything they serve! However, their Chicken Tikka Masala and butter chicken are two of my favorite dishes! You must try their gulab jamun and kheer… amazing! Will definitely keep coming back!

We just had a WONDERFUL dinner! We brought our own wine, which was perfect! We had the mixed grill that was so good but a lot for 2 people and the wonderful Channa Masala and garlic Mann. It was so good!!! The only thing I would have requested is that all the food come out together. We also had basmati rice pudding with cardamom that was wonderful! Not too sweet but so flavorful!/

Time of online delivery order: 7:18pm Time of delivery: 9:04 pm I canceled the order before it came. I had called the restaurant twice, which was no help. You know how whenever you call a restaurant and they just automatically say, «it’s in its way,» even if they didn’t ask which order was yours or where you lived? Yeah, that happened. They assured me at 8:20 pm that the order had been sent out and was on its way. Bullshit. The delivery guy even tried to argue when he showed up and I told him I wasn’t accepting the order because it was nearly two hours past the order time and I didn’t want it anymore. Class act. Don’t order from here. Just don’t.

Just wanted to update my review… Ordered tonight during the thunderstorm.,. As usual delivery was quick and exactly what I wanted! I just have to say that their garlic naan was crisp on the bottom and fluffy at the same time. The lamb vindaloo was awesome! I asked for it to be super spicy and it was! I really couldn’t ask for more!

I ordered from here for the first time 2 weeks ago and then again and I’m considering it for tonight. The chicken tikka masala was delicious, rice was fresh, samosas were tasty and come with cilantro sauce and tamarind sauce, naan was really good the garlic and onion kulcha, I loved the papri chaat, one of the better ones in my opinion, and, the vindaloo was actually spicy. Online ordering made it very easy, and you can adjust the spice level of anything you order mild to very spicy. They delivered all the way to Howard beach, but it did take a while. The food was still hot when it got here though. A little pricey because the rice and naan don’t come with it, but for good Indian food, I’ll pay.

Boy has this place gone down the toilet. As a fixture here for over 5 years I have given up. The food is not cooked fresh to order. its microwaved. If your charging people upwards of 9 – 10 dollars a meal not including rice or bread make the food fresh. The chicken tika masala was half warm and half cold and it tasted horrible. The rice tasted like it was cooked a week ago, it was barely edible. The naan was the only redeeming feature of this restaurant. The goat was putrid. It smelled gross and tasted even worse. This place has lost me as a repeat customer. So disappointing.
