Great people, great atmosphere, sweet service. The drinks are always on point. The staff is very knowledgeable of most common drinks The cutters are great, hookah is always fresh with many flavors to choose from and the music is ALWAYS flowing. Great place to be if you have out of townees and you don’t want to overwhelm them with the over the top crazy New York life style.

If I could I would give this place half a star. Worst hookah ever they use the quick lite coals. These coal burn out in 20 mins and you have to pay 5 bucks for another coal? At least supply two coals. The beer is stale! You can tell they take the refrigerator off at night and put it on an hr before they open up. They have a flyer up on their tv saying bottles $ 50 go to the bartender… $ 75 plus tax. Now to the DJ … Another Indian kid with a dj application on his laptop. To much bass when u can’t hear the word but you feel the bass you should tune your system. The bathroom is nice but the whole club is setup wrong it’s like they wanted to do too much with both enough space.

Small yet has a downstairs for rent during non busy days n when its busy its busy. Tv’s all around. Bathroom was very nice also. Chairs at bar not as many as there should be. They only put five chairs out. Guess so people can stand or try to make them dance. Lol hookahs avail. But they need a dedicated hookah dude. But all in all nice place. Woman drank free when i was there so even better. I think i was the only guy there fellas! Lol security was present. Its Jamaica ave. Duh. Deli next door if you need to buy anything. Parking all around Ill be back.

I guess this place is pretty new because I had to «add new business» in order to write a review. Came here on a Friday night for an event, easy to find little joint squeezed between convenient stores in the middle of a quiet block. Once I saw the Jamaica Hospital sign nearby I figured the neighborhood was going to be shady. But it wasn’t bad at all. Inside was small, with a bar occupying half the space with retro color lights all around it, definitely gravitating the crowd to the bar. All-women bartenders were nice and attentive, not particularly your beautiful skinny, tall bartenders but made drinks strong. A couple couches in their«VIP section» which can barely fit a party of 5 or 6, serving hookah. I heard the hookah was actually pretty strong. The highlight of the night was the DJ. He was really giving some good tunes. switching from old school to new school hip hop, threw in some reggae and soca appropriately – forcing noone to seat down. Not sure if he’s a regular or part of the event which was a «Grox» event. Overall small, intimate place that can fit about 40 people before making it unbearable, no real dance floor just areas you can gather around and do a schmoney dance, and down to earth Guyanese bartenders who kept the drinks strong. #supportThisBusiness(p.s. I don’t work for them I’m just a regular Unilocaler)

Esex has an nice envoroment. Not your basic coolie crowd. It’s always mixed up. You can grab a drink and smoke some hookah while listening to some nice music. I go here just to chill out and relax. The inside is beautiful and the owner along with his bartneders are nice.
