Yada Salon

I’ve been to this salon 3 times. The first time I went here the girl who did my hair was very good, reasonably priced but she wasn’t the most social person. She was very quiet throughout the whole session. I think her name was Amanda.
The second and third time was with Genny. I went back to this salon because the first experience went well. It had been a long time since I colored my hair. And I wanted to go lighter, so when I called I was told that Genny was someone who would do a good job.
I booked my first hair appointment and I wasn’t really impressed and I felt like she didn’t manage her time well. I think she did an ok job on my hair. She didn’t really get what I was trying to go for and she gets really overwhelmed very quickly. She is really nice and really wants you to leave happy but I didn’t leave all that happy.
Then to fix it I wanted to go a little darker and I thought I would give her a second chance. But I just really don’t like her style. This is my opinion and this is based off of my experience with her and it just wasn’t a good experience. I feel that she doesn’t manage her time well, I felt like she just wanted to be done and move on to another person. And I think the way she does her pricing is a bit misleading. I think she is a really nice person but I wouldn’t recommend her unless you plan on doing something very simple.
The Salon itself is big, clean and worth checking out.

I was looking for a salon in the Richland area. Read the reviews on Unilocal.Decided to try Yada Salon. Talked to Genny on the phone, she sounded great. made an appointment with her for the next day. Genny was so welcoming and listened to what I wanted to be done with my hair. She actually listened. She did two-​step color, haircut, and blow-​dry. Genny is amazing! My hair came out perfect. I love it. I think I might have driven her a little crazy but she never wavered.
Everyone one I met was very nice and friendly.

Ask for Amber — she’s lovely. I like to change up my hair a lot, and she was always game and totally accommodating, and helped me get the best cut in the style that I was looking for. She’s totally sweet and great with hair! Prices are reasonable but I think they vary by stylist — my haircuts were $ 35 with shampoo and blow-​drying. Totally worth it. Payment is easy and I always just booked my next appointment before leaving. There is plenty of parking in the lot, and the salon itself is clean. They do take walk-​ins, but I always booked an appointment in advance because if I don’t, I’ll never remember to go.

This has been my go to salon for a couple years. I’ve seen a few different stylist, but I would definitely recommend Stephanie and Jennifer! The salon is very colorful inside and very comfortable. The stylists I’ve seen have all been very sweet and professional. Reasonable prices for cuts and color.

Moving to a new state and looking for a new hair stylist can be really difficult, especially when I’ve worked at an upscale salon for many years. I tried two other salons (giving each a 2 – 4 appointments each), neither were horrible, but not the above and beyond I was looking for.
I made a desperate, last minute appointment, with Kimela (I think that’s what her name is) at Yada. I tried to get in with another girl (referral from a friend that sees her) there but couldn’t get scheduled for 1 ½ weeks, so I took a chance. SO SO GLAD I DID! I wanted a funkier, but not trashy bolder color/​foil, not the 90’s version of a few highlights, Kimela delivered! I have really cool «peek a boo» color and a GORGEOUS deep solid color to cover some grey, it’s a bit ombré, too! I REALLY LOVE IT and feel like Kimela nailed it. I hope my next experience with her will be just as pleasing!
With out hesitation, I recommend Kimela. She does an outstanding job (oh, we also had a 20 minute consultation before the service to make sure we were on the same page) and her prices are very reasonable!

Betty at Yada was recommended to me by a neighbor when I decided to cut my long hair off. I took a picture into Betty and much to my surprise (being a natural born skeptic) she cut my hair just like the picture! I love this place because they are competent and friendly, and your services include good conversation rather than the cheesy gossip so commonly found in salons. This place is a keeper!
