Permanently closed. It’s still a bike store, but run by Markee’s.

I had my bike overhauled here. I came in regularly for littel accessories. I asked for help turning a screw so I could open a light. «if I use a screwdriver, it costs 7.00» hmm. Well, 2 years have passed and I never got the light opened until I went to a bike shop in Seattle where they don’t charge for every touch of a tool. They have the corner on bike tune-ups in Richalnd.

So-so bike shop, bigger into fitness at times. Markee’s(Kennewick, Richland) and Scotts(Kennewick, Hermiston) are much better choices. After trying Markee’s and Scott’s — both of which were clearly interested in helping me, I placed a hail mary call to RIchland Bicycles & Fitness Equipment. After a very specific discussion of the part I needed and being reassured they had the parts, I was totally disappointed to find out that 1) they didn’t have the part and 2) were sure the part wasn’t available, so they would have to order a new caliper/front brake assembly. Order? That wasn’t the answer when I called. After leaving the store and doing some more research online, I was able to find a store that could answer my question and supply the parts. I think Richland Bicycles & Fitness probably lied to me just to get into the store and even worse, didn’t know how to fix it(or maybe was looking to offer a solution that helped them more than me). I’m done with them unless they have a $ 1 water bottle sale, and even then, I’m going to hate giving them my money. Go to Scott’s and Markee’s — better people, better service. I’d give zero stars if I could.
