Kim’s Nails

Clean shop but very quiet? I went to get a new set with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. I felt like everyone in the shop was eavesdropping while we were talking because it was so silent. They didn’t even have background music playing!
I got talked in to a pedicure too. Nothing special about it, didn’t even sand my heels down. Not worth the $ 30.
With my acrylics the girl did fine but I’m not in love with how wide of a tip she picked for my thumb nail (I used to do my own acrylics so maybe I’m being overly critical here). She didn’t put a top coat on before doing the design either. I asked for a simple design on each of my ring fingers and silver glitter on the demarcation line of my tips. She seemed annoyed to do it and kind of half assed the glitter. The design on my left ring finger was kind of messed up.
Overall, you get what you pay for. It was $ 45 for the pedicure and a full set so they gave me a slight discount for doing both. I tipped her $ 10 but probably will only use this shop for fills from now on.

I must have hit a bad day, but bad enough I’m not going to give them another go at my hands! I had an appointment. I was in the chair on time; it was downhill from there. Lots of time sitting, waiting. I was tag-​teamed not sure who the «real» nail tech was. Walked out much later with 5 nicks on my cuticle from the drill, and nails that didn’t last well at all. My natural nail pulled away at the tip on at least 6 fingers.
It is clean, not very friendly to the new client. I was very disappointed.

This the cleanest nail salon I’ve ever visited. Furthermore, I’ve been in salons all over the country, not just our humble cities. There isn’t dust ANYWHERE! The stations are well used, but like everything else, clean and well maintained. I recently went to a nearby competitor, and was shocked at how different the two salons were. Be aware that if you plan on walking in, they may have a wait or even be booked that day. Having to make an appointment is a small price to pay for the great work, pleasant atmosphere and excellent health and sanitation practices! A+++

How fun! To go here! I was working as a bartneder fo ran extra fancy event. I wen ther e to get my nails done.
I was sopleasantly surprised. I felt royally treated.
I heard others who go ther eregularly talk about how happy they were to be able to go.
One woman was trying to overtip her operator — the operator was being modest. it was an interesting social dynamic.

Cheaper than other nail salons in town and they have a punch card system (buy 10, get one free). My pedi came out better than my mani (both in terms of initial good-​looks and in lasting power). The polish on my nails was somewhat sloppy and started chipping within mere hours. Since it’s «I’m Not Really a Waitress» red, it’s _​really_​noticeable. The guy in the shop (maybe that would be Kim?) appears to have a foot fetish, which is kinda creepy.
So, yeah, pedis are good and best deal I’ve run across yet in the Tricities, but you may end up scratching someone’s itch if ya get one here.
