The fish fry is what brought us back year after year. This year, not so much. Too much beer batter — but that’s a personal taste thing. The service is excellent and the people are very friendly.

I am having my wedding reception here in one of event rooms available this coming November. I have not had it yet, so I will edit review after, but wanted to comment on the experience when I came to talk about reserving a room. Excellent! John Wortman was pleasant, informative, accommodating, and clearly enjoyed his job. The phone conversation alone convinced me that I wanted to do business with this Legion.

What more has to be said? Not much
This is your classic style legion. Cheap but strong drinks. Mostly older clientel. A meeting room, a dining room, and a bar. So nice in it’s simplicity.
Karaōke on Wednesdays (yes that was me singing ‘Hero’ last night).
A game room is here too. A pool table, darts, buck hunter. etc
And pull-​tabs.
See, just like I said, a legion.

So, one of the things I actually miss about growing up in the middle of nowhere is that you could always find a place to go where you didn’t have to be dressed up, you could get strong, cheap drinks, and if you were lucky, there would be a decent cover band playing.
I finally found this in Richfield American Legion. Awesome, knock-​you-​on-​your butt, drinks, and now that we know about the fun time that can be had there when «The Express Band» is appearing (schedule at
), we’ve been back a few times. Casual, easy place to go when you just want to do a little dancing. Thank god it is within a cheap taxi ride from home!
