Such great service and communication from Star Auto. Highly recommend. They have done major engine work on my 2000 Navigator as I just don’t want to give up on the truck. It has been a great vehicle for our family.

I have been taking my car there for 5 years +. I have no complaints at all They are nice, honest and the price is right.
It is difficult for me trust a mechanic being a woman. But here I feel at ease because my car is working well and everytime I go they check it to make sure everything is in order.

My check engine light came on and with this shop being so close to home I decide to check it out. I am very happy I did! They offered me a ride home while my car was being checked out and I was called quickly with a detailed list of repairs needed. The prices were very competitive and the work was done quickly. I am very happy with the friendly staff and professional work done by Star auto service.

I took my GMC Denali to Craig to get an A/​C repair. Got it back, was charged about $ 1500. and drove it home, NOT cooling. I took it back a few days later, explained it was not cooling (sweating) and they kept it a couple pf days n called me. Picked it up again, drove home sweating again, n called them. I brought it in again and Craig told me that they would work on it, but if I brought it back again they would charge me for it. Rude. I ended up taking it to another repair shop, and they fixed it. Very rude people, they did not fix my problem, and I sweated on the leather seat ruining it. Would not take anything back to them because of the service and the way I was treated as a customer.

If I could give these people 0 stars, I would. I stopped by their shop for an oil change while in the neighborhood. They have one price advertised on their windows, but told me (after they took out my original oil) that it would be $ 50. I called the dealership where I purchased my car and even THEY said that was way too much to be charging for a synthetic blend for my car. Needless to say, they were rude, had no idea what they were doing (they had to ask how to reset my car’s computer after the oil change) and totally put me in a bind. I would NEVER reccommend them to ANYONE.

Very VERY honest guys here. I brought my car in because it was vibrating. They asked me where I bought my tires at and I said Discount Tire. They suggested that we take our car to them as Discount Tire does free rotations and service like that. Now I knew that it wasn’t the tires, but it was nice to know that they were honest enough to suggest having another company take a look at it. They were essentially losing business by doing that, but due to that recommendation, I knew that they were being honest with me. I’ve taken two of my cars there on 3 different occasions. They have good communication and even have coupons online sometimes.

This review is for the lack of honesty and miscommunication I experienced. I had a repair done on my 15 year-​old car here today, so I have yet to see the long-​term results of the repair. However, I was told over the phone my total for everything would be $ 410. When it came time to pay, I was told it would be $ 468. He said a few different excuses all the while contradicting himself, such as the $ 410 was pre-​tax, and that he never would have told me $ 410 over the phone (but he did). So I asked him what the pre-​tax amount actually was and he told me it was $ 398, but that didn’t include «supplies and stuff». What did he think I meant when I asked what the TOTAL was over the phone? With a 15 year-​old car I’ve dealt with many auto repair shops and I can tell when I’m being taken advantage of. in the end he adjusted the price to $ 398, but I left with a sour taste in my mouth.

I love these guys. Very honest and reasonsble. They won’t recommend repairs you don’t need. They work on my ford ranger, my wife’s Honda accord, and my 1967 dodge dart. I just wish they would work on my 1974 beetle!
