This place rules. Best tabouli in town. Their lunch buffet can’t be beat! Nice, low key atmosphere too. Way more pleasant than the new, gargantuan Afrah.

I asked my friend to try this place for the first time. I live in the brick row apt and never had Mediterranean food before. We discussed to come one day during lunch and saw they had a buffet set up. We payed first.(It was very inexpensive for a buffet) and grabbed our plates. The meats were all very good and I could not stop eating the warm pita bread and hummus. A few items were over cooked and the salads were nothing fancy. I will for sure go here if I am wanting some good humus.

My friend and I discovered this place under her apartment complex and have been talking about going for weeks. Finally, we went for lunch yesterday and were surprised to have a buffet! — This cost almost $ 13, all inclusive. This pleased us as we were able to try a variety of things for the same price as one or two dishes. The first thing I searched for was falafel– CHECK! After getting that, I was a happy camper. The gyro meat was spiced well, very tender and tasty. I would say I think the falafel was a little over fried, but when placed in the pita this was masked. The soup, blackened chicken, spicy potatoes, hummus(which im not usually a fan of) and pita bread were also pretty great. I was not super enthused about their one salad, a combination of tomatoes and cucumbers chopped up– I think it just was not my taste. And the watermelon tea– even though it sounded interesting, was just not for me. Overall, I would absolutely come back if in the area. The place was clean, and the staff took away empty plates quickly. Pretty good experience!

This place is very good and conveniently located. The portions are large and I’d recommend just ordering off the menu instead of the buffet unless you just really want to try everything or can eat a crazy amount of food. The Arabic(aka Turkish) coffee is delicious and a nice addition to the meal. The service was prompt and the food was tasty!

Been wanting to try this place for a while. I made a last second choice to go to Afrah’s several months ago and was very pleased, but was told by some in the office that Sababa was not as good as Afrah’s. They were all WRONG! Sababa’s is a very nice, and neat, place, and the Lunch buffet is exceptional. The layout is organized, fresh, and well maintained. I arrived around 11:45 and the place was very slow. Could be due to the weather(overcast skies, with chance of rain). I was greeted with a smile and the price was very affordable. My only concern is the staff seemed to be more occupied with each other, than their patrons, but again… the place was slow so this could be expected. Would return on a regular…

I really liked this place! Visited last week for a quick dinner wanted a place to dine-in while Friday rush hour traffic thinned out. I judge all Mediterranean food by the hummus and pita(after all, they are basically the«chips and salsa» of Mediterranean cuisine). The pita was served warm, not the best I’ve ever had but it was good. The hummus was very smooth and creamy with a nice rich taste of olive oil and not over-spiced with garlic and cumin. I also had the babaganoush(who knows if I spelled that write?!?) which is smoked eggplant that is puréed into a creamy dip and intended to be eaten with the pita bread as a vehicle from plate to mouth. It was also delicious. The falafel here was a notch above many that I’ve had in Dallas. The salad was simple and refreshing with cucumbers, tomato and I believe a bit of mint! Enjoyed a nice vegetarian, healthy meal. I never missed the meat and it didn’t break the bank either. My server was friendly, attentive as we chatted about the neighborhood and all his food recommendations were spot on! So get the sampler platter(see my photo), plus they have free wifi and also a very delicious lunch buffet.

We found our new favorite Greek and Lebanese place! Very authentic, delicious, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The restaurant is very clean, and the service is prompt and polite. We’ll definitely be back! I forgot to take a picture of the lamb chop portion, but it is huge and delicious.

The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. I’ve tried their chicken shawarma and tawook too. I would definitely say the tawook had better flavor. The babaghenosh was very good. And the Arabic bread was fresh, hot, and soft. Their garlic sauce was more mayonnaise than garlic but not bad. I really enjoyed the warm Knafah dessert. I would like to try something new next time.

Went to Sababa tonight for first of what I imagine will be many visits. The food was well-prepared, authentic and plentiful for the price; the staff was warm, friendly and attentive(we were a party of two and there were two HUGE parties elsewhere, but service was great); and the place was lovely, nicely decorated and clean. The hummus is amazing! Can’t wait to work our way through the entire menu.

Wow. Simply amazing. Absolutely the best Lebanese food around. Clean place fresh food and great staff, and everything was just right. The food had the right amount of spices, the bread was delicious, the salads were crisp. The management has things right. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Oh and don’t forget about the deserts. My goodness. I’m glad I don’t live close or I’ll eat here everyday. My kids love it too and my wife says they have the best humus although she is from San Angelo Texas ! Go figure. Take your friends and family trust me you won’t regret it. I’m going to try take out next time I have a gathering. 5 stars all the way. I hope they keep it up.

First time here and I wasn’t impressed :(I ordered take-out, got the grilled tilapia with rice, Greek salad and it came with some pita bread. I was expecting it to be a whole tilapia since it was $ 13 but nah it was a grilled tilapia fillet like the ones that come in those plastic bags at Sam’s. Fish wasn’t seasoned well, didn’t taste like anything. Thank God they put some type of tartar sauce in there. The rice that came with the fish tasted like butter, nothing special about it at all. Pita bread was very fresh, tasted like it just came out the oven. Wish they would’ve included some butter or something to dip it in. Haven’t tried the Greek salad, but it looks normal. Going to give it to my mom. Although I didn’t enjoy my meal, I will give this place a second chance. After reading the Unilocal reviews, apparently I should’ve ordered the chicken shawarma. So I’ll be back to try that. Oh & please hire more ppl!

Update: The last time my boyfriend and I ate Sababa(to go order, same food we always order) we wound up getting sick! We agreed while eating that the food wasn’t as good as usual. Something seemed a little off with the chicken shawarma. Nothing significant enough to make us so concerned that we stopped eating, but we just ate part of our meals and agreed that they must have had an off-day. Then came the 24 hours of simultaneous GI issues! My boyfriend and I experienced identical symptoms on a nearly identical time frame. Whether or not it was truly due to Sababa’s food, we agreed that it would be the last time we ate Sababa. Also, after reading the other reviews, I will say that customer service has never been their strong point. Especially if you are a woman. Prepare to experience delays or get ignored entirely.

This place is really good. Buffet for lunch M-F for lunch, and menu service the rest of the day. Classic dishes that you find on many Mediterranean menus as well as some that you do not. They also have some great and unique dessert options, so save room!

In my never-ending quest to try more Mediterranean places, I ended up here for the lunch buffet last week. It’s located in a nice mixed use development, and is very clean and modern on the inside. The tables and chairs are very substantial and leaning towards the upscale. But how is the food? Speaking for the buffet, it’s very good. Other reviewers have commented that the selection isn’t as vast as some competitors, and I found that to be the case, but the quality of what they do have is good. Some highlights: Baba ganoushe — Top 3 from places I’ve visited. Smoky, garlicky, great texture. Shawarma — I always make a gyro with tzaziki, sambal, garlic sauce(if available) and shawarma. My example here was delicious, and that shawarma was the star. Very tasty. Kebob chicken — Tender, yet with a strong grilled flavor with good browning. Dipping this in the sambal made for a great treat. Kofta kebab — Good seasoning and good quality meat, it tasted great, but was ever so slightly tough. Meat«egg rolls» — As another reviewer said, I don’t know what they were, but they were delicious. Chicken was the meat of choice here. Falafel — Crispy but not overly so, it was a nice two-bite piece. Bone-in chicken — I selected a thigh, and it was very good, with a nicely seasoned skin. About the only thing that was really missing for me was the great fried cauliflower that’s featured at some of the competitors, and I confirmed with the staff that it’s not a rotation thing, they just don’t serve it. But don’t let that stop you from trying this place out, it’s really delicious and the price is right.

This restaurant was recommended by a Lebanese friend sometime ago. First time I went for a quick lunch and got a shish tawook sandwich(cubes of perfectly seasoned chicken, garlic sauce(tum) and pickles rolled in pita bread). Delicious! Next I came with a small group of 10 people and got Kufta kabob and a sida of babagabouch. It was great, very well seasoned too. You get 2 kabobs, plus rice, pita bread and 1 side. Very large portion. I actually just ate the 2nd kabob left over and still tasted fantastic even after a couple days in the fridge. Everybody in the group liked the food, especially the hummus. I have never seen a hummus so smooth! Service was great. Our waiter(Hashim?) was super attentive and nice, making suggestions and bringing the food promptly. Great job! The restaurant is very nice, simple and clean décor. We will be back for sure! Just hope next time they have rice pudding, a favorite dessert.

This review is for the lunch buffet 11am-3pm. I frequent Ali Baba and Afrah so I’ll will compare with those. Sababa is a couple bucks cheaper than Ali Baba, but the selection is much smaller. The food has a healthier, more home-cooked feel than other places but the roasted chicken which was dry and hard and tasted like reheated left overs. An oddity on the buffet were the Asian veggie spring rolls but at least they tasted good. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was clean and modern. On my Mediterranean buffet ranking, Ali Baba is still #1 by a wide margin, followed by Afrah and Sababa ranks a close 3rd. More than anything this is due to the variety of dishes. Be sure to try the garlic and spicy sauces at the end of the buffet.
