The burgers are actually quite good. I love that you can also customize it in a variety of ways from not only toppings and condiments, but meats as well! However, the reason I’m only giving it 3 stars is because the last couple of times I went, something wasn’t going right. The last time I went the A/C was broken and with it being warm outside in addition to the cookers, it ended up being almost unbearably hot in there. The time before that, it was excruciatingly slow taking almost 30 minutes to get our food. I’ve also come when for some reason, they couldn’t get order for the person I was with right. If I have a normal experience, it would probably rate it 4 stars, but since there has been more than one problem, I’m giving it 3 stars.

Great place for my boys and me when they were craving burgers. Mooyah is casual-you walk up and order and pick up your food when called. It’s one of those places where you pick your patty, bun, and topping, so everyone gets what they want. I got a turkey burger on a wheat bun and it was tasty-the bun had a touch of sweet and was clearly freshly made. The boys both got burgers and didn’t leave a scrap of them on their plates. I was informed the meat was not the best they’ve had, but quite good, and they both really liked the fresh buns. The boys convinced me they could handle a large fries… not so much. When they say it feeds 3−4…I’m thinking maybe they mean 3 – 4 gorillas(see my pic). If my two boys can’t get through much more than ½, then you know it’s huge! That said, the fries were fresh, crispy and had skins on them-quite good. Just keep the sizing in mind when ordering. I could see us going here again for a family friendly, quick burger fix.

The workers here are very nice, place is clean, and service is good… …However, my big complaint here was they charged me .70 extra for swiss cheese and it was NOT swiss cheese. If this supposed cheese knew how to yodel and make a perfect cup of cocoa, it would still be a far cry from swiss! All this was is a plastic wrapped little square of white american processed fat. If you are charging extra for swiss, please serve me swiss cheese! Other than that it was just ok. Not really worth the $ 10.80 they charged me for a burger and fries and a coke. $ 6.00 would have been more in line.

It’s a pretty alright place. I like the pictures on the windows. It’s of a cow. The meat here is pretty decent and the fries are pretty good as well. Yum yum with a shot of gum gum.

This place is a lot better than when I first tried it a few years ago. You can choose a regular beef burger, a turkey burger, or a black bean vegetarian burger for your patty and either a white bread, whole wheat, or lettuce wrap for your bread. They have a ton of vegetables and sauces and it’s add as you like without extra prices per topping. The only exception to that is if you want to add cheese, bacon, or avocado. I ordered the turkey burger and it was surprisingly very good. I also added grilled onions and mushrooms to mine and they were done very well! Their barbecue sauce was delicious and they added just the right amount. I didn’t get to try the fries but my friends who came with me said they were crispy but flavorful, so I’ll have to try that next time. For fifty cents extra, you can swap out normal fries for sweet potato fries(yum!). I will definitely be coming back here with friends!

Nice place seems clean and well run. I am not a huge fan of their burgers and their overall pricing is a bit high to me. I normally like thinner fries than they have there but they have a good seasoning and were very good.

Came in on a Wednesday night and the place was empty. Still took almost 20 minutes to get my very average burger and fries. Staff seemed disinterested. Best part of the meal was the milkshake but I can’t see coming back here for a burger made better and more efficiently at Five Guys, Smashburger or In n Out. Moo yah? More like MEHyah.

Burgers and fries here are great. I love how they give a good amount of fries. It’s a nice clean place. BUT service is not there. ATALL. My boyfriend and I basically spoke to a wall when we ordered. Since the guy at the register didn’t say«Hi how are you» or greeted us period, I went on ahead and greeted him and asked how his day was going. He didn’t even respond. People who work here need to put a smile on their face. They literally look like they hate it so much here. Hopefully the service is better when I come in next time.

Mooya delivers large portions of burgers and fires. This location makes their buns on site as well as fries. I do appreciate the commitment to freshness and the location was as clean as can be. They have a marker graffiti board which I appreciate since my last visit involved chalk in my fries. The customer service was excellent but the speed was slower than normal. 3 out 5

I’ve been to several Mooyah places in the past and their similar competitor, Five Guys. While I do like the much larger portions that Mooyah provides for the price(and larger selection of food and desert– should you desire it) — and the burgers are great for the most part(sometimes the tomatoes are kinda unripe and soggy) I wish I could write a better review. My biggest«gripe» if you could call it that is that this particular establishment has fallen into disrepair and the dining area isn’t as clean as I’d like(to feel comfortable eating at a table.) Guys– sticky tables and seats are a big turn off. :) The place might be overdue for a remodel or at least repainting and some maintenance on the drink machines would be nice. If the review were based upon the food and service alone, it’d be more like a 4⁄5. Thanks for reading!

Updated review: I’ve been back to this location several times since my initial bad experience and my recent experiences have consistently been top notch. Employees seem to have been replaced with much friendlier ones that no longer struggle to take my orders and actually acknowledge my presence when I walk up to the register. If you’re looking for a good burger, I now recommend this Mooyah.

There’s really not much to say about this place; the menu is very limited, and the food is only at best, average, but that’s pretty bad for a place that pretty much serves just two or three things(burgers, fries, and shakes). The burger bread they used was falling apart, practically disintegrating(probably wasn’t toasted properly). The fries were a bit soggy(real potato fries though), but were coated with crap, probably because they didn’t change the frying oil often enough. When I came for a visit, I ordered a burger combo, but despite the fact that I asked specifically for the combo, which charges around $ 3 more to add fries and a drink, they charged me $ 3 for each, separately(so yes, I was charged an exorbitant $ 12 for a burger, fries, and drink). It also took them about half an hour to come out with my order, which is much too long for fast food.(It was lunch time(around noon), but less than 1⁄3 of the seats were filled). One of the things they seemed to advertise(advertise A LOT) was that you could phone or fax in orders to pick up later, which can make some amount of sense given how long they seem to take to prepare the food, and the fact that I can’t think of any other burger place that takes phone-ins. Not that there’s any demand for take-out burgers(for the reason that burgers are generally prepared fast enough to not warrant a pick-up). The prices are also higher than average for the quality of the food and the establishment; for better burgers, I would recommend Shady’s Burger Joint.

I have tried to give this location more than 3 stars, however I only find nothing that special about their burgers. It is about the size of any regular size hamburger and certainly isn’t one of those large gourmet type burgers found in today’s more upscale hamburger restaurants. The hamburger had lettuce, a tomato, onion, pickle and mustard on it and the bun, while not all that tasty, was fresh. The cost of eating here though is much more than one would pay at a place like In & Out Burger and almost as much as one would pay at a gourmet hamburger type location. Burgers are $ 4.99, drink $ 2.19 and fries $ 2.49 and if you ask for all three as a combo the cost will be $ 8.98 which is far too much in my opinion. The restaurant is beginning to show it age and wear as the tables and chairs are rather«nicked up», the fountain area needed cleaning and service was just average.

I used to go to the one on Parker in Plano but the service was terrible. After finding this location I found a place to go. This place is clean and the service was great. My online order went through without a problem, unlike the other location, and the staff just seemed like they liked there jobs a lot more.

Since when did burgers become so expensive? I like this place, but it is starting to become more empty and the price is pretty ridiculous for a burger joint.

I like that it’s build your own burger style ordering. I usually do an Internet order. They always follow through with my special requests on the orders — like when I ask to put sauces and pickles on the side. They are much faster at getting the food ready than the one on Parker in Plano. I’d like to give 3.5 stars, not a full 4 because I’ve had better burgers. But the reason why I’m giving 4 is because: — the staff has been nice every time I visit — it’s a good go to burger place that’s quick and way better than fast food — they don’t screw up my internet order

Went back to Mooyah today and saw they revamped their menu. Unfortunately Mooyah still suffers from the same problem they had before: above average food at a way-too-high cost. I got one of their new«loaded beef salads» for $ 10, which sounded incredible but actually amounted to a handful of bagged lettuce topped with bacon bits, raw mushrooms(why raw?), soggy onion strings, and a burger patty. It wouldn’t have been a bad meal had it been $ 5 – 7, but $ 10 is pretty high for just a salad. I’d much rather go get a salad from Snappy Salads or Fuzzy’s.

I’ve got to admit I wasn’t thrilled with this place. Upon walking in the place was pretty dirty. There were food remains all over the floor. It was like Logan’s roadhouse except at Logan’s you are supposed to toss the peanut shells on the floor. Here I don’t think tossing burger remains was the idea they were going for. They really should sweep the floors every couple hours. I ordered a burger with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. My boyfriend ordered a standard burger. Additionally we ordered the medium size fries to share. The burgers were pretty boring. I’ve definitely made a better burger at home. The fries on the other hand were awesome! I would have rather had the basket of fries by it self and not wasted the money on the burger had I known better. Overall the service was decent, food was average, atmosphere was poor. I’ve had better burgers at other places in the area. I doubt I’ll ever return here.

I use to come here when this place was Burgerstreet(I use to work there during my formative years) so I was sad when it closed. In its place is this interesting take on a quick service burger joint. Concept is simple: burgers and fries. Fill out a card with what you want and wait. Pretty easy… yep. But is it any good… Yes., The meat patties are juicy, ingredients are fresh, and even the buns are cooked in an oven… not a toaster, an oven. The staff was friendly and walked me thru my first time here. I’ll say the décor made me feel like I was in a romper room like a kid again… with yellow and green walls, and random numbers thrown up on them. It took me out of my eating experience a bit, but its not too annoying if you can look away… or take off ur glasses like me! Give it a try, good food at a decent price
