JC’s Burger House

This is the best burger place I have ever been to. Patty melt is the best with onion rings and jalapeño bites. It’s is also very family oriented and right across the street from home. They’re making some changes and I kind of miss the old environment but the food quality is the same is the best lol.

We were referred by a friend who works nearby. Not usually our neighborhood this far North, but we were here, so decided to try it.
The burger was pretty good — not outstanding, but just we just wanted a good burger. They don’t ask how you want it cooked and it comes very medium well. Wish it were more medium with a little pink — I think it would be a great burger then. Tater tots were really good and we scarfed them down!
I would come back here if ever in the neighborhood again and try some of their other combinations (green chili and cheese, turkey, etc.).

I love hole-​in-​the-​wall type places and that’s the feeling I got when I walked in. it’s simple, open, and you can’t miss the big menu on the wall.
I was told the party melt is good so that’s what I got and I must say it was really good! My meat patty was seasoned and cooked well. The onions were a little over-​grilled but not to the point of being charred and fried. I asked for no jalapeños but I bet I missed out on a near perfect patty melt by leaving them off.
It wasn’t busy at all when I went; I noticed other Unilocalers saying the meat lacked flavor so maybe it was a packed house?
Onion rings are the bomb… I know I’m telling my age but that’s the best way to describe them.
Oh and they will accommodate your picky tastes. We ordered 2 Die For fries and found out we can have 2 Die For tots if we want.
The guy at the counter was soooo helpful. I would say give it a try if you’re in the area.

This is a very good burger joint. Fresh good burgers, friendly staff. Cheese fries are great. Never had a bad experience eating in or take out. Always clean.

Just walked in and right back out. Smell was horrible. Made my stomach turn. My whole family agreed. Too bad bc I really like JCs in Addison.

I stopped in while in the area for lunch recently. Young lady at the register was very friendly. She cleaned the dining room a couple of times throughout my visit. Burger was cooked well and ingredients seemed fresh. I would go back although it may be a little pricey.
Negatives I observed. 1. A young girl played in the kitchen (7 – 8 year old?) while I waited for my order. Employees child? 2. Large yellow (open top) trash can right in middle of food service area close to where food is placed. 3. Gentleman in dining area (working on laptop) appeared to be owner or manager of some sort at large salad with his mouth open and salad dressing on his mouth.
It was a decent burger.

I come here since I work nearby, and their pricing is convenient. This restaurant serves a good burger that is tasty, and done well. So why not come and enjoy the food that they serve? As a Vegetarian, they only have one option and that’s a Veggie Burger which to my surprise, the flavor was very good. And I also enjoyed this burger with their Sweet Potato Fries which were very tasty too.
Overall, I was satisfied and I would gladly come back whenever I’m in the mood for another burger.

Burger was blah. Service was quick and made fresh yet meat under seasoned.

There are really good burgers and quick service. The only thought is that when you dine in you tend to leave smelling of grill.

Walking into the place, it is clean, well spaced, their pipeline for orders is efficient which is a good sign for places like this. The cashier/​waitress was personable, told us a funny story and we were having a good time in terms of atmosphere. I order my typical burger with lettuce tomatoes and ketchup and it comes out in speedy time despite the fact I saw them put the fresh patty on the grill. I have a gripe about the order of things on the burger but it was still delicious ⁴⁄₅ stars for the whole thing– but what really put me over the top was their cheddar cheese fries. My family makes a special cheese fries recipe once a year and we have done it since I was 5 so I know my cheese fries. These were excellent! My friend ordered a strawberry shake he says ⁴⁄₅ but bluebell has had recalls recently so I can’t wait to hear his review with the ingredients we love the most. For a walk in first time 5 stars. If I were to do this again, and I will I would bring alot more friends!

Very fresh and delightful burger. I ordered the patty melt and had them sub mushrooms for jalapenos. The lady at the register did however give them to me on the side. The patty melt does not come with fries so I ventured out for the onion rings. A few friends where with me and they had the thurkey burger (which she said was exceptional), the lunch special with regular fries and the others had patty melts with sweet potato fries. The onion rings were uneventful, nothing special. The regular fries where okay and the sweet potato fries where the best option. We also ordered the fried pickles (delicious) and the fried jalapeño bites (HOT). If you like spicy the jalapenos taste fresh on everything. Overall the experience was worth my lunch time.

This is the second time I visit. The onion rings are good. I am disappointed in the meat. The reason I tried JC’s was the advertised fresh ground beef.
I prefer fresh to frozen because frozen tends to be overcooked as in an effort to cook it through the outside is overcooked and the juices escape.
At JC’s off George bush (assuming Richardson), first I had the Bemmy’s 12 oz and found the patty overcooked: well done and dry. Today my friend and I asked for medium done (to avoid overcooked and dry) but they were unfortunately as well done as last time. What is the purpose of fresh beef if it is overcooked and dry?
Update: I had severe indigestion after this second and last visit. I had gastric pain and ended up throwing up. Naturally I do not want to go back and give them a 3^rd chance.

Not a good burger place. The beef was dry and crumbly. The fixings were sparing, the burger was dry even though there was grease dripping from the bun. Weird.
I’ve had way better, dare I say, from McDonald’s. Idk. This place is nothing special, at 5 bucks a burger I feel like I overpaid.

My favorite, go to place! The best burgers around, hands down. The beef is fresh and you can tell! I am rather picky with my burgers and these are the best! Everyone I refer here falls in love. Their grilled chicken sandwich is also delicious! Sweet potato fries — oh so good! They don’t skimp on the toppings, which is awesome because I love a lot of mushrooms. They have gluten free options, wheat buns, and a large menu to fit everyone’s appetite.
The staff is super friendly. It’s clean. Lots of seating. I have been to all JCs in the area (I’m addicted and it came in handy when I was pregnant!) and this is my favorite location for food and staff.
I highly recommend a mushroom Swiss burger or grilled chicken! My mouth is watering jus thinking about it.

FOOD POISON. I ate there sunday and spent the last 2 days sick as hell. Avoid this place unless you enjoy puking your guts up.

Again, the service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the price was great.
For UTD students, they now do a 10% discount! I also forgot to ask for a fried egg before I paid, and they gave it to me no charge. I needed a quick lunch so I could get back to work, and I was in and out in 30 min.
I highly recommend the bunless burger. I got it as a turkey burger and IT WASNT TOO DRY! Also, the onions and chiles it comes with are perfectly grilled and delicious. It’s a great healthy alternative :) I really recommend this place!

For the price and for what you get this place is a steal. Living a stones throw from the place is also a plus. Who doesn’t love having a great burger joint super close? I usually just stick with the ¹⁄₃ burger, with all the toppings. My boyfriend tried the Boss chicken sandwich once and has not since gone back to a burger. Says the sandwich is amazing. We always split the cheese fries that come with jalapeños and bacon:)
This place is good. Was shocked to see the bad reviews.

Party melt was great! Fried pickles were hot when we got them! And sooo good too, they were nice and thick. Chocolate shake only come with a spoon cuz it’s impossible to consume with a straw lol. I will def be coming back!

JCs has three size hamburgers, a ¼ pound, ¹⁄₃ pound and a half pounder. I recommend ordering at least the ¹⁄₃ pounder as it comes on a large bun, with all the trimmings. We found the burger excellent and the service also excellent. In our case the burgers were ordered at the bar and then delivered to our table by one of the employees. The french fries were cooked just right and were fresh. The restaurant is clean and tables kept that way by the wait staff. We will be going back. Look for coupons in the local monthly mail out coupon magazines.

Its alright place. I stopped by to try something new and I’ve always seen this place. When I first went in there was only 3 ppl but after awhile more ppl came. I got the ¼ lb burger w/​out cheese + fries, I got my meal in 15 min or so. They gave me cheese w/​my burger but thought or well I’ll just eat it. Its not so bad but I just tasted the same as Braums but fresh. Its kinda in the middle of nowhere because of all the bldgs.
On a side note: No offense but all the workers were Mexican and the cashier had a bracelet that said «I luv boobies» hahaha It was so funny I mean I know they are like that and their expressions are so obvious
