The people at Fiddle and Bow are very friendly and helpful! I’m a beginner and went in there to learn about the quality of different types of violins. Lewis, the tall guy, provided me with a plethora of information regarding the purflings, types of woods, pricing, and what to look out for if I buy one online. I also expressed interest in the Viola and he informed me of the difference in how you play the Viola as opposed to the Violin. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I’m definitely providing them with my business for a Violin/Viola purchase! LOVELOVELOVE!!! PS. Their website is very entertaining to read!

I have taken lessons here for 8 years. Both my kids of taken lessons too. I’ve bought 6 instruments from them. Even traded in one as well. The company is run by the case brothers who run their business like so many Mom and Pop companies used to be run. They keep a tab running for each customer in their head and offer time and consultation when no one else will listen. Their business is run on their passion for instruments and their love of fellow music lovers. To go into the shop is to be enveloped in in an environment of old wood, the smell of fresh turpentine and a flood or real, non electrical music. Its a hodge podge of various instruments, not just fiddles, there are guitars, dulcimers and who knows what else. Summary, if you need face to face time, have little money but want to buy an instrument and make a new friend Fiddle and Bow is for you. I really just can’t say enough about how I love this place.
