We were assisted by a young lady named Nahal. She is fabulous. Not only did she make sure we were provided the freshest, tastiest, most wonderful cookies, she treated us with a kind of remarkable genuineness and kindness that is typically unseen these days. Without any hassle, she hooked us up with a delightful room(and on the floor we wanted to boot!) — and the room was absolutely pristine. I am impressed with the style and quality of this hotel, sure, but outstanding Humans like Nahal are what really make a business shine. And boy did she. Nahal should be allotted no fewer than seven promotions. Like right now. Thanks, Nahal. We’re a fan. But the elevators made slightly spooky sounds.

Stayed there one night over the weekend. I took a shower once we got there and my boyfriend said he was going to take one right after but decided not to(now I know why he didn’t). In the morning he took a shower and I was next we were pressed for time even though we had woken up early. Went to take a shower and it was a swamp the water would have been up to my calves if I would’ve gotten in there. Called the front desk, receptionist said she would send up an «engineer». Waiting for a while, boyfriend went down for breakfast, the«engineer» shows up trying to plunge it says he’s coming back. then is when I called the front desk again and asked what can be done about this because we had to leave. I was connected to another female who stated she can get me another room that had been used but was in the process of cleaning it now and will clean the restroom for us. We argued back-and-forth I was letting her know how disgusting that was and I thought paying almost $ 80 included a restroom inside the actual room we were in not someone else’s. I asked to speak with a supervisor she connected me with a voicemail, now Tuesday I still have yet to hear back from any management. Thanks Doubletree for not making me feel like a guest. I feel like if we were at a restaurant and was asked to move to a different table that could be done but just move your toiletries to a different room and then come back and change in your room. Very unaccommodating not impressed with guest services at all. I do travel a lot and that will be the last time I will stay in at a doubletree Hilton. You would think with a name like that and the amount you pay you would be treated a little differently.

I was going to go to this hotel for my sons birthday, and he got sick in the car, and when we got into the hotel, it was a three hour wait for our room key, ummmmm, no. I recommend Hyatt, trust me, great service, fantastic city view, and out of this world internet! The resturaunt near it is 35 stories tall, it’s a tall tower with a ball at the top where the resturaunt is. Go there if you are going to Dallas.

I feel ashamed. I should’ve listened to Unilocal.I promise I’ll never turn my back on Unilocalers again. This place will only get 3 stars from me. All 3 of those stars come from the friendly staff and very nice looking lobby /ground floor. When you walk into the hotel, it looks fabulous. I was really impressed. Hell, even the elevator was nice. The room though… Smh… See Unilocal has given this place like 3 stars. But when I booked it on , it had a crazy 4.3÷5 star rating. I was like damn, I know Double Tree is nice(we stay in them often) but wow this one must be crazy good! So, booked it up. The room was … Well, I’ve stayed in Holiday Inn rooms that are nicer. Not that Holiday Inn is bad, just expected the Double Tree to be better. The room was decent sized, but it was a connected room? Like that weird door that has the latch lock that you know leads to some strangers room. I didn’t even know they had rooms like that anymore? I don’t like it. There were 3 of us, so we got a double bed room… And the beds, were double beds lol… Come on Double Tree! You’re a Hilton! Can’t spring for Queens? Smh. The room was dimly lit, and didn’t have a light switch that controlled the lights… You had to go to each lamp and turn it off/on. 1st work problems right? Lol. The sheets on the bed… I’m almost certain they were made of some kinda denim lol… Either that or for some reason they heavy starch and press them… Crispy AF Mayne. And ooooooo pet peeve of mine, the pillows. My pillow was about as thick as a magazine by morning. Wasn’t cool with that. For a double room, designed for multiple people, there was no closet space, or refrigerator… Hmm. Also, designed for multiple people, but the bathroom was kinda small and no double sink. Hmmmm. Oh, and the tub drains. Eventually. But while you’re showering you will have a nice foot spa going. As it stays about ankle depth with water the entire time. I will say this though; the flat screen tv was big AF lol. That was nice. I didn’t get to use it but I could imagine if I did. Would’ve loved it. The room service seemed crazy expensive! We live in El Paso, so when it comes to stuff like burritos, shhhhhhhhh-it, we can hit up an old lady on the corner slanging burritos out a styrofoam cooler wrapped in tinfoil and get a burrito bigger than your forearm that’ll blow your mind for like $ 2. But here? A breakfast burrito, was like(when you add the tax and the gratuity that’s mandatory) $ 15-$ 18?!? Seriously?! Brah… Dafuq is that about? So yea yea I know I might seem kinda spoiled with my complaints, but like I mentioned; it’s Double Tree, by Hilton! I expect more. I often stay at double trees, even in Japan. So I KNOW they can do better. I’m pretty disappointed. The Dallas trip will be an often one for us. But this Double Tree will not. Now then, it wasn’t awful. In theory is stay here again depending on price and availability of other places and where I need to be in Dallas… But it’s not gonna be my first choice. Don’t NOT stay here… If the price is right, hit it up. But within 1sq mile, there are SEVERAL other hotel candidates with strong potential. I won’t name them though… This review isn’t about them. Step your game up DT! I expect more from you. I expect the same level of quality as your other locations. But hey, thank you for the cookie at check in. I do appreciate that. I ate it. Liked it. Das it Mayne

We booked this place through since this was the only place that had free parking/free wifi in the area. You can see the hotel from the highway. It’s lit up and looks pretty fancy. The lobby was very nice too, however, they seriously need to consider of renovating their rooms. It was nothing like other Double Tree/Hilton we’ve ever stayed at. You could see it was very old and kind of filthy. Bath towels were kind of yellow ish white so I was hesitant to wipe my body with it. Bathtub was clogged. Pillows were completely flat. The only good thing about the room was that they had a huge flat TV and their famous cookies they give you when you check in. No fridge in the room.

I am giving 2 starts simply because their staff was very unhelpful and the lack of enthusiasm for customer service was ridiculous. We live in the area and unfortunately had to reserve a room due to a power outage in my neighbor. I found the hotel by searching on groupon so when I called to ask about price matching they stated they could not? We have always booked hotels this way and found it bizarre they would let groupon take my money rather than them price matching. Anywho we ended booking through a third party and when we told them we did they acted like we were insignificant customers? They are still getting paid at the end of the day just not directly by us. Never have I been treated like trash at a hotel but they pretty much threw us our entry cards, didn’t tell us our checkout, didn’t give us the complimentary cookies, or breakfast. Just flat out rude. I will never book a Double Tree again because of those 2 girls at the front desk. It’s like I had stolen money out from their pockets.

The hotel lobby and staff are great. The breakfast was filling and delicious. There were free drinks in the lobby when we first checked in and the cookies and brownies take the edge off! The rooms themselves needs a major upgrade. There is paint peeling in my room and the shower doesn’t work properly. I have a half bath… Half shower thing going on when I try to get the shower the work. I was only here for a couple nights and was barely in my room so it wasn’t too bad. They can do with major upgrades to their rooms. The microwave and fridge were so dated and the furniture was also pretty dated. Again, nice staff, lobby and breakfast and cheap rates so I would stay again but not for more than 2 nights.

I gave this place 2 stars simply bc I felt bad for the staff. The rating is primarily based on the cleanliness and condition of this hotel. This place needs a major renovation. The main lobby doesn’t look so bad. It’s the rooms. My gosh. Everything is outdated. You can tell from the carpeting to the furniture. It’s been around a long time. The bathroom makes no sense. If you open the bathroom door it takes up the entire bathroom! Really uncomfortable. There was water damage on the bottom of my bathroom door. I have a feeling there is a leak coming from the toilet. Oh let’s rewind to my morning. After a very comfortable sleep(the tiny beds are comfy) I turn on the light, get up, look down at my bed and notice something moving. Yep two bugs. One was a black pillbug. It was large. I googled it and they are found in waste and urea. The other was long. I flicked it off the bed before I could take a picture. After calling the front desk I was immediately given a new room. I showered there and when I went to use the towels there were makeup stains(or what I think was makeup) on my towel. I can’t imagine what else is lingering in my room that I can’t see with my eye. I’ll be trying to get into a new hotel tonight.

Will stay here again! Overall feeling was one of ‘little extras’ all over the place! Super comfy beds, excellent breakfast buffet(super healthy options, tons of fresh fruit, eggs, meat, four juices!). Free drink at the door per person. Manager hand delivered a welcome note as well as a dessert with fresh flower. Everyone was professional and gracious. I wanted to stay another night!

Last week’s stay at the nearby Hyatt Regency bordered on horrifying — the road noise and commuter train allowed me to sleep fitfully probably no more than a few hours a night — and they know this as there were ear plugs on my night stand. So when I checked into the Doubletree I requested a room as far away from the highway as possible which they accomodated. Unfortunately there was an ice machine next to my room that sounded like a 747 ready for takeoff and worse at night, the vibration reverberated through my room. But at least the road noise was minimized. It’s an OK place, the décor a bit dated and worn but they did have a 50 inch TV with a good number of digital channels. The comfort level of the bed was moderate but they too use those silly square piilows — like throw pillows. I basically used the place to sleep so it was OK for that. The business center at least doesn’t charge to use the computers or charge for printing — unlike the Hyatt. Perfunctory would about sum it up.

Anything less than 4 stars for a hotel rating is not good in my view. I give this place 3 stars because of their friendly staff but unfortunately I will avoid this place next time I travel to Richardson. During my first night stay I experience a few issues. My room was freezing at 60 degrees and after I turned off my AC I was hit by an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke masked by some type of freshener. It was so bad I had to switch rooms. Unfortunately to a room with two small beds. My dinning experience was also very bad. The hotel restaurant was not really a restaurant but rather a place they bring out food to eat. I felt like I was eating on hotel room furniture. Nothing felt like a restaurant. I ordered the shrimp cocktail which was the best part of the meal. My Caesar Salad was disappointing. Romaine lettuce should not be dark green and it was drenched in dressing which over powered the salad. I ordered the filet mignon as I always do, medium rare. The steak was completely raw inside, and the brussel sprouts were undercooked and had no flavor. The second steak they brought out was not medium rare and covering in a gravy type sauce which the first steak did not have. I guess that was to add flavor which was removed by over cooking it. I have to say the staff was very friendly and tried to make it right. It was my error to choose to eat in the hotel vs the vast amount of great restaurants in the area.

Rooms overwhelmingly smell of scent. I am not exaggerating to say my eyes watered on entering the first room. Second room same but with feathers. I’m allergic, it’s on my profile, discussed at checkin and when changing from the first over-scented room. Was told that feathers were removed. Not so. Only top pillow changed. Sitting in lobby again. Staff are courteous and resolved all issues. An intruder beat on my door at 12:30am then tried to enter from the adjoining room door. Repeated slamming or kicking of doors. Was told intruder just a drunken guest. Not a fun night.

The hotel I usually stay at in Dallas for business or pleasure recently remodeled and I can no longer afford it, since I could only afford it because it was a dump that needed to be remodeled at some point so it was discounted to reflect that. So this one was the next cheapest about 16.8 miles north of where I’d rather be a stone’s throw away from Oak Lawn, but I was in the Richardson area for business so it made sense to be rather local. I have to keep taking the price point into consideration and adjust my expectations accordingly. I basically just needed a room to crash in, so for that it did fine. But since I did more than just that I also need to take the rest into consideration a bit. It’s supes cheap for reasons. There is no garage, it’s just uncovered lot parking with no security so your windows and stereo might part company with you at some point during your slumber or they might be where you left them the night before. The cable selection was pathetic. I don’t watch much tv but I was struggling to find anything at all and several channels just had a «no signal» on them like HBO — I ended up watching multiple reruns of Modern Family since I couldn’t find anything else watchable with the limited number of ABC/NBC type channels. The fitness center is relatively spacious and definitely clean, but both treadmills need maintenance and the EFX on the left is insanely wobbly. The best thing the fitness center had goin’ for it were the mirrors so I could admire my beauty for an hour, and the cold towels kept in the refrigerator unit. The worst sin of the hotel was how tiny the bathroom was. The door couldn’t open the entire way. I’ve not been in a smaller bathroom ever. It was a visceral shock how much space they were trying to save on the floor’s footprint by making the bathroom this tiny. I was rushed through my check-in at the front desk so I didn’t get to ask as many dumb questions as I wanted. But I still got my cookie. So this line item is a wash. My room was clean. The hallways were clean. The elevators were clean. Unfortunately the door jamb at the bottom, along the sides, and on top has so much empty space it lets in a lot of light from the hallway. This is really apparent in the middle of the night when your supposed-to-be-dark room is lit up like a dang Christmas tree. Also the window in the room is super tiny. The curtain goes along the entire length of the wall so I walked in like«THISIS A HUGEWINDOW» and it’s just a tiny window off in the corner. Not my wall of window as that curtain-liar led me to believe. They have the futuristic key cards now so you don’t even run them through the scanner, you just press them to the little sensor. What a time to be alive. I would definitely stay here again because it’s one of the exclusive few sub-$ 100/night hotels in the DFW area where I know I’m probably not going to get R’ed walking out to my car alone and my fellow patrons are likely not going to be at least obviously-selling rock in the parking lot unlike some other colorful places I have stayed in the metroplex.

Have stayed here a few times but no more. Examples of disappointment: — Paper thin walls — Shower rod bent, negating the curtain and causing water to go on the floor — Housekeeping shoddy — Tiny gym, the size of a small hotel room My favorite thing is the free breakfast with an omelette station! That’s definitely nice.

This is a fine hotel. The staff was friendly and the common areas were clean. We stayed for a weekend in November 2014 and found everything to be satisfactory. The breakfast buffet in the hotel lobby was overpriced and I would recommend finding food elsewhere.

This particular Double Tree might be the redheaded step-kid of the Hilton chain. It’s pretty old, and despite some attempts to add some lipstick it still needs some work. Popcorn ceilings still? The pool is tiny and the towel cabinet was bare. Lots of big conference rooms explained why this place was flooded with chillrens doing some kind of dance competition. They thought it would be fun to practice in the halls. I can’t gripe about my rate…$ 149 total for a Fri and Sat night. Pretty fair. I would do this place again for the price.

It’s a fairly nice full service hotel with a bar and full service restaurant. The hotel is slightly dated but not too bad. The bathrooms are small and the door gets in the way. I really hate bathrooms like this especially in what are supposed to be nice hotels. My shower head was excellent. Full flow here… no restrictive water flow. Nice experience. My ac worked but never got the room as cool as the thermostat said. It was acceptable though. Why the two stars? First my bed was very uneven. A sumo wrestler must have slept in it for over a year. One side is the hill and the other side the valley. Really needs to be replaced. My other issue are the room doors. When closing they are loud!!! Anyone entering or leaving their room that is within 50 feet of yours, you will hear it. I even noticed it when leaving my room that morning. I tried to be quiet when leaving but couldn’t. The metal door lock hitting the metal latch is LOUD. Very disruptive if you are trying to sleep. I probably will not stay here again for that reason. All of the rooms are like that.

The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The man who checked us in was friendly and efficient, and getting that cookie sure made sweetened the deal. We were put in the executive rooms, or whatever they’re called, preferred rooms, I don’t know. 2 rooms. 11th floor. That was very nice, i believe that was an upgrade. The first room, 1108 smelled so musty and had a hint of cat pee; I couldn’t stay in there, the chair in the room had mysterious stains on it and the thing they drape over the end of the bed was stained as well. The second room, 1112, was slightly better, still stained chair and bed-drape-thing, and the terrible musty smell was only in half the room. I worked in a hotel, and I know that the front desk gets it pretty hard, lots of complaints and room moves, so I try to be as easy of a guest as possible, I didn’t complain at all, and I won’t give them a terrible review. The staff was friendly, I called down to ask for foam pillows and they came up very quickly. The location is pretty nice, richardson is a good area, it seems. My complaints, other than the smelly rooms, are that the freeway is right below you, so you hear the cars and trucks all night long, but I slept with the TV on so it drowned that out. Overall, the hotel did its job. There is definitely better, but there is also a lot worse.

I am a Diamond level Hilton frequent guest … This property does not represent Double Tree High Standards. Executive floor rooms have dated furniture. Our room had loose bed headboards and a water stain on the ceiling. The room also had a very dated mini couch. The bedside lamp had gold paint that was peeling. Sleepnumber bed controls did not work!!! Honestly, our room felt like a cheap motel room. This hotel needs a remodel … And when it starts it should start with the executive level rooms.
