My experiences with the doctors, physical therapist, nurse practitioner and customer service reps have been 95% negative. There is a lack of care and compassion at all levels of this practice. Their medical records clerk was very good! I don’t feel that it is necessary to share all of the details of my negative experiences, but every organization has a culture and the metaphor I would use to describe this practice is machine. I’m not even sure that the providers in this practice see their patients as individual humans, but instead see them as objects or cogs in the wheel. They are jaded. I believe they are suffering from burn out and their behavior certainly indicates that this may be the case. I’ll offer one final thought: Complaining about a pain management practice is a bit of a catch-​22. I’m sure that this practice chalks all of their negative reviews up to patients who are drug seeking, but turned down. I was seeking injections after learning that the practice does not manage pain medication. So drug seeking is simply not the case in my situation. I hope readers of this review and others will take the reviews seriously. I’ll not be returning to this practice. Another review indicates that the physical therapy practice associated with this group is childish and unprofessional. I have to agree.

Don’t visit then unless you are prepared to have surgery. That’s their strategy — get you in for a 15 minute exam, give you a minor procedure (arthroscopy) which is a temporary fix, then reel you in for the kill and give you a total joint/​ACL/​shoulder repair. And good luck with a physician follow up visit. Once you’re done its «don’t let the door hit you in the ass».
Also, review your bill CAREFULLY! They will bill for minor things which are very costly and expect that you or your insurance company won’t notice. Beware!

I would like to preface this rating with the fact that I usually use Unilocal to honor small businesses and give positive reviews. That said, if I could give a negative star rating to Dutchess orthopedic, I would. My husband has been visiting Dutchess Orthopedic since the spring, attempting to get shoulder surgery. each time a surgery is scheduled they cancel it due to a «scheduling error». It is impossible to speak with anyone directly, and although an employee may have given you directions as to how to do something, it is usually wrong, and you are told that because of the misinformation, you now have to wait an additional amount of time. I absolutely cannot believe that they are still in business. My advice: go elsewhere and save yourself months of angst.
