Ohio State Schools of Cosmetology

Well, what can I say.
I went here one day to get my hair done. The only thing I wanted was to get my hair flat ironed and curled.
I had just washed and conditioned it so it did not need that.
In the past one was able to go into the beauty schools and just get and pay for the services they wanted, then was charged according to only what they got done.
This particular day I did not have much money but wanted to get hair to look nice for a function. I only had about $ 20 to $ 25 on me. So I went here expecting good service for the money I had. The price on the works, shampoo, blow dry, flat iron, and curl is $ 25. I only needed a flat iron and curl. Half of that service. I thought I would be able to get this done and have money left to give the student a tip. But the rude guy at the counter said, no they could not do it that way. He really offended me with his overly flamboyant, bitchy way of saying it and making a dramatic scene, It wasn’t that bad really. I had not been to the school in a few years and did not know that they did not break up the service like this any more. I would think in this day when everyone is hurting for service and business that they would go ahead, be nice and give me the service I wanted for what I had to pay. But NOOOO!
Bitchy Man, was absolute.
Even though the students pay to learn and do others hair, and really only work on tips, he would not let me help one in such a way. I said I did not want to get the work done if I could not give the student a proper tip. I told the little girl they brought over to do my hair sorry. It would not be fair to her. She understood, but gave the Bitchy Man a nice hard look and if looks could kill, he would have been dead.
I will go back to the school to get my hair done in the future, because most of the students really do a good job. I just do not want to encounter the Dramatic Bitchy Man again. I hope he is gone the next time I am there. I also wish they could go back to just charging for services rendered. As far as I am concerned, they are the ones that missed out on business not me. I went ahead and did my own hair for the function I went to.
There is a lack of good Customer Service these days. People in businesses need to learn how to treat people with kindness and respect or they will be losing business in a time when people are seeking it. I did not get Mr. Bitchy Mans name, but if I had, I would have reported him to OSSC. If he does not change his ways or attitude he is going to cause who ever he works for business in the future.
