Thanks, but no thanks. Are the apartments overpriced? Yeah, they are. Do the prices raise exponentially higher every year? Yeah, they do. The staff here is friendly, but not necessarily helpful or customer oriented. After living here for 18 months, paying our rent on time all of those 18 months, and never causing a problem — — I would expect more. I have recently purchased a new home using a Crawford Hoying real estate agent, and would like to think that I’ve provided the company with a substantial amount of decent business. I would regularly stop into the rental office to sign paperwork for my new home, talk to the staff, or meet with my real estate agent. I would say that it was pretty clear I was moving out of the complex. However, upon asking what our pro-rated rent would be(since we were moving out on the 10th of the month) we were informed that since we did not give a 30 day notice of moving out, we were now on a month to month lease that was going to run us about $ 150 more per month than the original lease we signed. Uh, what? I signed a lease with a move out day… but I have to remind you that I signed a lease with a move out date?.. Or I can’t move out? Assuming that we could just walk on down to the rental office to clear up this obvious misunderstanding, we were informed that the property manager can choose to make an exception to this if she wanted to. Meaning we could pay our $ 240, move out on the 10th, and never look back. Being that were have been such good tenants and also purchased a home through the company I was sure that this wouldn’t be a problem at all! Only to be met with a «we can’t do that». Well, yeah you can. You’re just choosing not to. Tricky, tricky! I would hate to see how they treat tenants that have late payments or more difficult requests than this. All in all, I’m disappointed by the complete lack of customer service provided to us. Oh and also, the pool shuts down in the summer quite often because people poop in it. So that’s a bonus.
