I played this course recently, and I have mixed feeling about the place. On one hand, the course had an interesting layout. It’s a par 73, so the are three par 5s on the front nine. Many of the holes have some kind of bend, so it’s not a course you can easily bomb and gouge. There is some water, but not a ton. The greens are also challenging, with a good deal of elevation changes on most of them. Unfortunately, the condition of the course is a bit lacking. The fairways on many of the holes are in rough shape. Bare patches and weeds mean that even if you hit a great drive, your second shot might not have the best lie. It’s been a rough season, with very little rain, but even so this was worse than most of the other courses I played this year. Many of the water hazards were covered in green slime too. I know they’ve spent a lot of money updating the banquet hall in the past few years. Hopefully they’ll work on the course itself next. The most disappointing thing was seeing how the staff was treating the guests. The woman in the pro shop(the owner, perhaps?) was yelling at golfers for taking too long to play their rounds. That was surprising. The course wasn’t very busy, and we never waited at any hole. In fact, it seemed like pace of play was pretty smooth. We didn’t see anyone waiting. Surely that could have been handled differently. It certainly didn’t leave me with a good feeling about the course.

Went there for a wedding reception. I golf here a few times and I know that the golf course is beautiful and very well kept. Well for a wedding reception let me say that this place is 1st class all the way. Everything about this place was perfect. The cocktail hour was nothing like I ever experience before. They greet you at the door going in the hover-doers with a glass of champagne with a piece of strawberry in it. Then let the food begin. They had a crêpe station where you can get anything and everything you would ever want in a crêpe. In the center of the room they had a table with Greygoose vodka and caviar, it was unbelievable. Also on that station was all the deli meats and cheeses, eggplant roltlni and a few other food choices as well. On another station they had fliet cavering station all I can say it WOW, great steak cooked perfectly. The final station was a pasta station, they had al fedro, vodka, and pesto. It was probably the tastes al fredo I have ever eaten. they also had bulter hover-doers going around. I sample a cocconut shrimp, osyter rockfeller, and a stuff clam all were delisious. After contail hour was through they brought you into the ball room, it was gorgeous! Salads came out and I am not a salad guy so I passed on the salad it looked good though. Then dinner came out you got 1 piece of chicken and 1 piece of beef potatoes and vegs. All of the food was excellent.
