I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a better rating! They have a great selection, decent bar food, and amazing service. Our bartender was Caroline and she was great, will definitely be back!

Love this place! Try the Zaleo Tempranillo and ye Remhoogte Pinotage? Staff is very very helpful and knowledgeable– ask for Jenny or Sean. You can do by the glass or choose a wine flight. Good date spot– more low key than other Reston Town Center spots.

Jenny is the best manager of all time. She gave me and my friend a recommendation and it was great. This was the first time we’ve been o a wine bar and it started off very well! Thank you Jenny, Carolina, and Eddy for the great service :)

Small place with just a couple of tables. Get there early. It’s a fun, novel idea to pop a card in a wine dispensing machine and serve yourself. After a few visits, I just simply want someone else to serve me wine and do the work so I can relax. ;) Live music is really nice.

Really like this place for when I just want to sip some wine with my girlfriends :) been here twice now and both times have been great. You can either choose to sample some of the wine with a prepaid card(it’ll dispense wine enough to sample or a larger quantity) or if you already know what you want you can choose to order wine by the glass or bottle. The first time I choose to sample some of the wines which became a little overwhelming for me. The second time around, my girlfriends and I ordered a bottle and had a meat and cheese platter which was better in my opinion :). Perfect place to unwind and people watch if you sit on the patio.

I had the most wonderful time last week. Jenny was super attentive and the great recommendations for wine. Alex was very sweet, Carolyn was amazing as well. Eddie brought out food incredibly fast. I can’t express how happy I am to find a wine bar that makes me feel like I am at home And Matt is beyond words. My life is now complete. n

I stop at The Tasting Room a couple of times a week on my way home from work and have tried every wine they carry. The selection is outstanding representing a wide variety of types and regions. While I do have my favorites, I’ve never been disappointed. In particular, I like the Caymus.(Yes, they have it by the glass, now!) and recommend it highly. The servers are friendly, attentive and extremely knowledgeable(especially the Friday night crew)! They have a half-price bottle night on Wednesday and listening to the live music on Saturday nights over a bottle of wine is a great way to spend the evening. I love this place.

Great concept and love everything about this place. I wish they have more tables outdid but I totally understand. Their summer specials are fantastic, every single day there’s something going on for specials. My favorite day is obviously the Wednesdays when they have the half off and price is so reasonable. Seems though they have a limited supplies on them so if you have a group and found a bottle that you like, I strongly recommend you get two or three at once otherwise you will end up getting something you don’t want just for the discount or pay full price for another«similar» wine. They get busy during summer and not enough staff so you also must be patient.

Wonderful little wine tasting café with perfect outdoor seating. I very much enjoyed the wine selection along with the assortment of crusty bread, meats, and cheeses. Skip dinner and enjoy a delicious red from France, Italy or our own California.

Glass of red wine and enjoying the outdoor seating. Oddly I like the appetizer better than the wine. And this is my 2nd try. Returned the 1st glass of Pinot noir — watery and tasted old(I was assured it was just opened earlier today.) Bordeaux 2nd try. Better but it had a grainy finish and still a bit less body than expected. Maybe I’ve just had too long of a day, week, month… Note that the waitress didn’t immediately offer to replace my wine when I told her I was disappointed with it. Heck, it was $ 12.50 a glass and tasted like a $ 5 bottle from Trader Joe. The Prosciutto & Mozzarella Crostini was wonderful. I want great wine for a relatively reasonable price from a place calling itself a wine bar.

I’m far from qualified to give a critical review of a wine bar but I’ve had fun coming here. I like to opt for the card to try out a lot of the different wines at my leisure. If you’re prepared to spend about $ 30, you can sample a lot of wines. The atmosphere feels modern and minimal, which works pretty well. It’s not a very large place and it can feel a little cramped. Still, it’s a fun way to spend an extra hour after dinner or before catching a movie.

My boyfriend and I came here for a small snack before dinner since we had time and just happened to pass by it. The interior was nice and clean. We sat at the bar since there wasn’t anyone else in the place and it would be convenient for the server. We ordered the International Cheese and Charcuterie Plate and asked our server to recommend a fruity wine, which he recommended the Jam Jar. I was happy that we could take the bottle since we didn’t finish it. The server wasn’t really attentive despite being the only ones there. Overall it was just an okay experience.

I’ve never been so ready to leave a bar. This bar is a serve yourself bar, where they have spouts for you to serve yourself(or they’ll serve you if they get around to it)…like a slurpee machine… Which they expect you to know. The server was generally rude. No one told me or asked if it was my first time here. As it happens, it was my first time here, asked the server to sample one of the wines before buying it to make sure I liked it. The wine I sampled was terrible, so I asked to try another one. Server said«ok, but this is your last sample, I can’t let you taste any other ones». Lo and behold, the second wine was just as terrible as the first. She came back and asked for my order so I ordered a glass of wine that I had never had and obviously she wasn’t going to let me taste it. $ 11 down the drain, wine is terrible. I’ll go spend my money at Ruth Chris… Nexxxxt!

Great Happy Hour deals. Stopped in here for some $ 5 glasses of wine. The staff was great and the place was nice and clean. Not a big fan of the bottle machines at a wine bar though, takes the feel out of the place. For what it is though it was great.

For a wine bar they didn’t have a very large selection… there were options, don’t get me wrong, but I was still a bit underwhelmed. The wines they did have were nice but overpriced… which is to be expected from the town center… not sure why. The ambiance is excellent… why wouldn’t it be… everybody is drinking wine! Their was live music(one guy singing and playing the guitar) and the crowd(including myself and my date) were involved and enjoyed it. The service was excellent; very friendly and attentive. I would go back without any hesitation…

Very cute little place, not that big so space/seating is limited. The wine selection is tremendous. Definitely a nice place to have a chill hang out night. I think this place is better for a couple of friends to hang out or for date night. As we were leaving there was a large group for a birthday party and it got very crowded and loud way too quick. The waitresses were very nice and had great service. I would definitely recommend this place for a chill and quiet evening.

I visited The Tasting Room for a glass of wine in the early afternoon and had a decent enough experience. The room is a bit small, but I enjoyed the 2012 California chardonnay I ordered. Tasty enough wine, but a bit on the pricey side. I’d be up for going back to try more wines and perhaps add a cheeseboard, but probably not anytime soon.

The Tasting Room is classy wine bar without(in my opinion) trying too hard. The crowd when we went was mostly older but it was still hopping at 10pm. Fun fact that I didn’t know about, they have live music on Saturday nights so we got to listen to music while drinking wine and people watching. Seating is first come first serve, with indoor and outdoor seating. My fiancé and I opted to sit outside since it wasn’t too humid. Our server came and explained the way the wine bar worked. You could order from the wine list or get a eno card where you prepay then get to try the wine from a machine(its between 2 – 3 per ounce or something so it adds up). We opted to order off the wine list and each ordered a glass of red wine. Surrounded by music and sitting outside, it was a good night. They also have food, cheese plates, and Charcuterie, which you can pair with your wine or just to have something to munch on. We didn’t order food this time but if we come back, we may. Relaxing and classy spot in Reston Town Center. Definitely something different for the neighborhood.

I’m not sure what all the commotion is about. Granted I showed up about 20 minutes before closing(I know, I hate being that guy) with my friend and we drank a few Pinot Noirs. It’s a nice bar and it was quiet for us so we could hear the conversation amongst ourselves. I’m giving this 5 stars because I ordered a bottle of Pinot Grie to take home and they gave me 10 $ off the purchase. Unfortunately I left the bottle there(silly me being tipsy) and didn’t realize I forgot it until the next day. I called them and they saved me the bottle cause the server left a note that I forgot to take it with me and now I am on the way to pick up what I left behind. I’m not sure which snobs are writing reviews about bad service or bad employees who work here but I can assure you they took care of me and saved my bottle. Big thanks to Mark the server for saving the bottle for me. I will definitely be back and I’ll try not to be that guy next time!

I always enjoy a stop in here for a glass of wine and a cheese plate. I’ve been a fan of this place ever since it opened — love the marble bar. They have a pretty decent selection of wines — heavy on Boxwood, VA wines(since the bar is sponsored by Boxwood), but also some gems from France and California. I can always find something I’m familiar with on the wine list, or ask for a recommendation and feel comfortable with what I’m about to be poured. I love the cheese & charcuterie plates here. The cheese and charcuterie are always fresh and love that they serve their blue cheese drizzled with honey. I also really enjoyed the red pepper spread last time I was there. When I inevitably run out of bread, they are always generous in providing more. This place also has two enoteca machines, but I admit that I’ve never used them in all the times I’ve been here. They also used to do a ton of tasting events, but there don’t seem to be as many anymore. Not a reason to deduct a star — 4 is well-deserved in my opinion — but just an observation.
