Rob’s Country Hearth & Home

Ordered me the parts I needed for my wood stove and they were available for pickup the same week. Exactly what I needed.

I did not recieve the chimney report or any information regarding the condition of my chimney until after I contacted the Attorney General’s office. In fact, I was told on the date of the install that ‘everything looked great’. I was also never given the option to hire a different installer at the time of insert purchase. The receipt just notes that I will need to pay the installer separately after the installation.
The one star rating for Rob’s is still valid due to their affiliation with Ye Olé Chimney Sweeps and their lack of responsiveness when faced with a customer service issue. When you say you are going to call someone back the next day after talking to the installer and you fail to do that simple task, then all faith in the sincerity of your company goes out the window. There is too much ‘he said, she said’ going on here. Again, Buyer Beware!

We decided that a wood burning stove would be the perfect thing for our downstairs family room during the upcoming cold and damp nights. I searched from Snohomish County to Pierce County and all points in between. I was shopping for a appliance at a different store when the salesman and I got into a conversation about fireplace inserts and where he bought his insert. He pointed me to Rob’s in Maple Valley. I have probably driven past Rob’s a million times and never saw the small shack now sitting behind the sound barrier wall directly across from the Maplewood Golf Course. Rich is the sales guy there and he is definitely a straight shooter. He is very informative and is definitely a consumer advocate. He will tell you the ins and outs of each stove. The prices were higher than the original place that I was about to purchase the insert but with some of the incentives such as a free blower and half off of the chimney liner, it worked out to be the same as the original place only they could have it to me installed within a week instead of 5 – 6 weeks. The installers were extremely professional. They showed up on time and took great care of our house and paid extreme attention to details. I can only say that my experience with Rob’s was fantastic. I believe the key is having Rich as the sales person to help you and having Matthew as your installer.
