Came here for a UFC fight because theres no cover charge. Won’t ever be back.
Waitress took an hour to even acknowledge we exist in her world. Refills never came. Had to go to the bar myself to get anything. I saw customers bussing their own tables all night long. No tables had ANY food on them, but I was told when I finally inquired about our nachos after an hour… «The kitchen is VERY backed up.» With WHAT? No one has any effin food!
We shoulda left. If you expect any kinda service or food … Skip this place.

My husband and I used to frequent this place but it has really gone downhill… with the safety concerns here (shootings and other violence) I will be steering clear for sure.

Seems like it’s going down hill. The spicy wings were bland with no spice at all. No happy hour menu. No table service. Drinks, meh… irs sad because it’s in my neighborhood. It used to be much better.

Great place, friendly staff, Fantastic food (Get the wings extra crispy) they have updated the menu, hired some new faces. Lot’s of security after eight, real craft beer, and awesome drink specials. And they show UFC Parking is tight but I only live across the street.

Such a friendly neighborhood bar! The bar food is good, the atmosphere is quaint, and the staff is very personable.
I just moved from Portland and now live 2 blocks away from this place. I’ll be back.

Two times i opened tab: two time i was over charged… I asked them the next day how i ended up with the amount when my guys were using their cash for the pitchers and at the same time they were added on my tab… I stayed and didnt want to ruin my night but i just didnt open tab… Cant trust this bar and for sure Never going back. Watch your tab. No

Worst service I have had in a long time! I sometimes have to wait for over an hour to finally get service, other times I get no service at all! I complained over and over and nothing changes!

I have been coming here consistently for 6 months now and the one thing that is consistent about here is poor poor service. On average I wait 45 – 60 minutes before a server will walk up and ask me if I want to order. If I order quicker than that it’s because I had to climb over a table make my way through something to get their attention. Past that lots of great dart boards and great pizza but the wait…

Expensive beer and shots. But free pool on wednesday and Sunday. Poor service. Not going back even with the free pool.

Update:
I went in to play darts with my roommate and was told to leave because she (the morning bartender) saw my review! I called the owner and was ignored.
So i cant come in there at all now because i share my opinion??? Fk this bar!

There’s a bartender that works in the morning that was extremely rude. when I played music on the jukebox she stopped it and told me that she didn’t want to listen to my junk (The word she used was more hostile) in her bar. She was loud and used me to set an example for her pulltab players (regulars)
Overall it’s decent bar just don’t go in early hours (and don’t discredit this review because you think I drink in the morning I don’t, I was there for a meeting) lol

BLOODY MARY BAR??? I’ve never been to the R Bar anytime except for a weekend breakfast. Having said that, I am giving 5 stars for the experience as a whole. Betsy is as accommodating as you could ever ask a bartender/​waitress to be! The food is great, not overpriced and the servings are generous. I have the Eggs Benedict every time. The eggs are a little over done, but still good. The hashbrowns are just like they should be, crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. The star of this show, however, is the Bloody Mary Bar! You could spend a lifetime creating different recipe’s with all of the spice mixes, hot sauces and veggies. Everything from garlic stuffed olives to pickled asparagus and don’t forget the strips of bacon! I have told everyone I know about this place and their Bloody Mary Bar. I don’t like the vodka so early in the morning, so I make mine virgin, and it comes in a pounder glass for $ 2.00!!! You can’t get even a 6 oz glass of tomato juice in some restaurants for that price!!! Come on down to Cascade Vista one Sat or Sun morning and you won’t be disappointed!

What a terrible hell hole. The karaōke/​owner is a complete ass — for treating his customers like garbage and refusing service because they voice their dissatisfaction of said service.
A REAL business takes input from its customers and utilizes it to thrive (hence Unilocal).
Avoid at all costs, lest you are tossed out like others after spending your hard earned cash.
Ps– clean-​up the damn restrooms. (That’s a free one, the next one will cost you.)

Divey joint only a few minutes from my house. The food was really good and not too pricey. I only wish the quality of the televisions was a little better. I also wish there were more people there for Sunday football… watching the game is always more fun with an energetic crowd.

This bar works if you are in the mood to get out and have a little fun without having to dress up. It’s definitely very low on the elegance meter, but it’s a dive bar. The prices are low, the staff is friendly and the type of crowd it draws is quite friendly. ZThe karaōke host is a sweetheart and definitely livens this dark room up. Without entertainment, this place is quite dull. Luckily they have a great karaōke host, juke box and pool tables.
I only came for an ending to my friend’s birthday. I would not come here on my own accord, but I would return if invited. I did not order food. Drinks were ok.

I’d rather come here than the Pickled Onion any day. The food and menu is much better in options adn quality. I can’t say the bartenders are particularly better, (The one’s at the P.O. are a bit friendlier.) They have some pool, and darts, some TV’s and such.
It is a bit of a dive bar, nothing that stands out, but by comparison to the other dive bars in the area, it is much better. Go enjoy the karaōke, and the dart tournies.

Just your standard little dive bar. A pitch of mac & jacks was only $ 12.00, it was pretty inexpensive! Pretty close to where we live so we will definitely be dropping by from time to time for an inexpensive drink!

I have to admit that I didn’t expect much from The R Bar. From the outside it looked like a dive and based on the folks I saw coming and going, I didn’t expect the inside to improve my opinion.
Based on the reviews, I thought it was a good time to try. A few people inside looked to be about what I expected, but he attitude and demeanor was pleasant. Matter of fact the server/​bartender was extremely friendly.
Unfortunately, my 1^st choice for lunch was unavailable. So I went with plan B. The burger was about a C+. About average, but the veggies were super fresh and crisp/​My date had the taco plate. It looked really good, but she said it was a D, so I’ll take her word, however, despite being Hispanic, she always complains that there is no good Mexican food around, so keep that in mind.
I’d return to «The R», but only by invite. There are plenty of place to break bread, so when you are average, I tend to have one then be done. There is potential here, but something tells me that people like it average.

This place epitomizes «dive bar», but in a relatively clean and classy way.
Karaōke starts early, and it’s always a good time. I’ve never eaten here, but the beer is good and the drinks are strong. I’d imagine it’s a great bar to come and watch the game or shoot some darts and relax after a long day at work!

Cool place to chill and watch the game… If you are heading in, make sure to have a chat with Debi the bartender. She is awesome, and the R Bar wouldn’t be the same without her! Decent drink specials most nights, and an average selection of brews… Darts and pool are avalible here as well, but while the dart boards are nice, the pool tables are terrible… Overall, a pretty decent place to have a cold one.
