My favorite Indian restaurant in the Seattle area — it’s so good that we drive from Seattle down here! The Kirahi is amazing as is the sweet and creamy tikka masala. Lamb is so tender it easily separates with a fork. And don’t forget a chai tea or mango lassi! In addition to delicious food, this restaurant has some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. The staff is ridiculously prompt, as in ordering an extra side of rice that arrives in seconds. I don’t exaggerate, even the manager/owner was laughing about it, «was that fast enough for you?» The only downside is that it’s pricier than many other Indian restaurants and they charge extra for rice, but they’re so fast with their sides just order one to start and order more if you need it.

Chicken tikka masala — two major thumbs up! Beef seekh kabab — three(according to my son) major thumbs up! Garlic naan — amazing! Great service and easy going. Must try when in the area! It’s Halal too! :))

Always top notch. Love the Lamb Biriyani. Its an absolute must have. Intact everything I’ve tried I’ve loved. One star down for the exorbitant prices that this place commands and for a rather mediocre décor inside the restaurant. Even the service can get better. Overall I highly recommend this place.

This is my first time here in this place even though I saw it mostly everyday for 3 years lol. The outside looks pretty down but the interior in still really nice. You walk in the restaurant and literally got attacked by the onion/garlicky smell. I tried the chicken butter and green masala. The chicken butter is bomb! It is delicious. As I order curry, I ordered a side of rice and a garlic naan. Everything taste good. The price is pretty unexpected though. A scoop of rice for $ 3.25, 2 of them make it $ 6.50. The main dish are nice but be careful with the side dishes because those are the one that raise up the money you spent. It might worth it, or not. The service is pretty nice. It is good for children and family to eat here. The spicy rank is from 1 – 4, i ordered 3 stars for mine and i taste 0 spicy. Idk why. The dish was big enough to serve to people, I love my dish but it just overdoes at the end.

This was my first time here. It was busy but not terrible. We didn’t wait long. It was less than 10 mins. The menu has many options. Many. I immediately order the fish fingers & King Fishers(yum!) Then we ordered lamb palak & achari boti with saffron rice. The fish fingers were fantastic!!! When we got our entrees we were very pleased with our selection. Lamb palak was perfectly prepared! Achari boti was smokey & delicious We did splurge on dessert. Ghulab Jamun & Kheer combo. The cardamom syrup was so amazing, I was just enamored. Our service was great. Our waiter was funny and I was very impressed that they used their cell phones(or iPods) to order everything we wanted. An app. Efficient, no waste of extra paper. Moving to the burbs, this place will be one of our regular!

Wow! This is quite a gem! I did not expect to have such wonderful Pakistani cuisine in downtown Renton. Prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! We ordered several dishes based on recommendations and simply my prior knowledge from traveling in India(some similarities cuisine-wise). The Dumm Biryani had delicious, tender chicken mixed with a flavorful Pakistani rice. As a person who enjoys Gobi, the cauliflower was sautéed to perfection and the spice(I chose level 1) was spot on. While savory, I wasn’t completely inspired by the Mughlai Korma although my sister really enjoyed it. Finally, the naan and roti didn’t disappoint! I ended up getting an extra order of roti at the request of my mom! If you’re in the mood for Asian food and are sick of Chinese and Vietnamese, give this place a shot!

We’ve grown accustomed to the excellent Indian food in Bellevue. Naan and Curry is a step above! Every dish was just delicious, perfectly spiced, and attractively plated. The waitstaff were all friendly and helpful, and were even able to help us order and eat in under an hour(we were in between back to back dance recitals.) I would have preferred to sit and eat a little slower — the ambiance of the restaurant is very comfortable and charming. Though I enjoyed the Bollywood music on the TV, some of the dancing was not appropriate for our girls(when did Bollywood get so sexy?). I prefer restaurants without tvs. You can’t escape this one — it’s visible from every table and sadly makes this nice restaurant feel cheap. We just loved the taste of our food, but there really wasn’t very much of it. We ordered butter chicken, aloo gobi, naan, raita, and rice. The entrees were both around $ 14, and everything was ordered all carte. At other Indian restaurants, that would be enough food for everyone, but here it was really just enough for two slightly hungry adults. The naan order was just one smallish piece. The only generous portion was of raita. So, delicious food, but pricey and portions are on the smaller side. Great service. Annoying tv. I’m still giving 5 stars though, because the food was extraordinarily delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

I came on lunch time with a group of 8 and ordered fish biryani around 11:38 am. 35 minutes later, we were still waiting on our food while people who came later than us were getting served. When we called owner’s son and inquired about our food, he told us in an arrogant manner that biryani takes longer and its the best biryani in town. My biryani arrived but other people ordered didn’t show up much later. People in our group were dissatisfied with service and food. Overall ambience was old, dark and gloomy. Another thing is they charged gratuity on the to-go order which is totally wrong. Update: I came here few more times and had fish biryani and sikh kababs and it was delicious every time. My husband and I live up on Bothell and drive all the way down here when we are nearby or when my husband really wants butter chicken. I’m not a big fan of Indian food as their spices give me a headache but this place is great! I do fine with their spices. You’ll find us here at least once a month. As soon as you walk in, the décor will scare you away. I wish they will update the place or maybe not. Actually no more new people so I don’t have to wait so long. They are busy still at 2pm. Come on people, stop eating lunch at such an odd time. My husband always orders the butter chicken and with dark meat. Wow the sauce is great! I try to replicate but can’t seem to find the right combination. A little sweet, a little tomato, and yogurt? I don’t know. I wish there were more chicken to go with the abundance of sauce they provide. It is on the pricier side as I believe it’s about $ 15 or $ 16 for this dish. I always order my fish fingers and pour some of my husband’s butter chicken sauce on my fish and saffron rice. The meal isn’t completed with their crispy, wonderful freshly made garlic naan. You have to get the naan to wipe up all the extra sauce from the butter chicken. The staff is friendly and food comes out quick. It is on the pricier side as I said before so be prepared to spend about $ 35 — $ 40 for two if you each order your own dish and rice or naan. There is also no parking so you will have to find street parking around the area.

This place is really good. Everything is separate though, main dish, then you buy the rice separately. But the rice is divine. I tend to enjoy places like Mayuri in Bellevue that come with all the sides in little tin cups and trays. Ethnic food plated as it would be in the country it comes from adds to the experience and atmosphere when dinning out. But the Chicken Vindaloo is better here at Naan — N– Curry! The staff is so attentive and right there to refill your water or get you anything you need. A great asset in Downtown Renton for sure!

Coming from India, I am generally disappointed with the indian food in the PNW. This place is, by far, the best indian pakastani restaurant in the Seattle metro area. This place gets five-stars not for the service, value, or ambiance, but only because the food is unmatched by any other restaurant in the area. From outside, it looks like a dingy storefront in downtown Renton. The inside isn’t too great either, and the décor is mediocre. The service is friendly, but not professional. The prices are on the higher side, and will cost around $ 30 for the meal if you try a couple of dishes family style. They don’t include rice with the entrees and the naan is pretty small. However, the food is phenomenal. Almost everything there is excellent. However, they’re known for their tandoori dishes(kebabs) and their biryani-rice. Most of their curries are awesome as well, but I’d stick to their pakastani specialties, since that’s what they do best. The portions are big, so they’re good for sharing. Their veggie options are limited, but they do a good job of it. If you are looking for a fine-dine experience with good service, this isn’t the place for you. However, if you want really well-spiced and flavorful indian food, while ignoring everything else, this is the place to be. I’d recommend not missing this place if you like indian food or kebabs.

The food is mediocre at best. The cashier shamefully tried to over charge my takeout by 70% more last three times I went there. It’s embarrassing to me as an Indian to see such poor quality food to represent my culture, along with shameful business practices carried out by the owner.

[Dine-In Experience] I absolutely love this place! Some friends introduced this to me after a hike and it was absolutely amazing — I would lick the plate if I had to. Everything was just spot-on flavorful and by far, the best Indian food I have had yet. Unfortunately I am having trouble remembering the entrée I selected but it had prawns. My guess is the Mughlai Korma. Service was also great. The owner really had a sense of humor and was actually quite entertaining despite taking our order on an iPhone/iTouch type of device. Him and the staff were fantastic and I would highly recommend anyone to give this place a shot. Dishes ordered: Mughlai Korma(?), garlic naan, mango lassi

This place is the best for Indian food in Seattle. For vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. My favorite veggie dishes: Vegetarian Karahi and Veggie Green masala. I am not a huge fan of Tandoori Paneer even though it was good just not by itself as an entrée. For the meat: Chicken Tikka Masala, Achari Gosht, Chicken biriyani, Chapali kebab are all really good(These are always the items my husband gets). Of course, the mango lassi and Chai are also good. Naan is so fluffy and fresh off the oven. So good! I wish they offered the Thali even for dinner. Speed of service is unbelievable and the owner is friendly and very hospitable. Don’t expect a great ambiance but this place is the best for some amazing Indian food.(And leave your jacket in the car… :P)

The only thing that Naan-n-Curry has going for it is the food. Since John left(this has been several years) the service has become truly subpar, I’ve tried several times over the years to see if it’s improved, unfortunately, it’s has not. If I am taking the time to sit in your establishment, that means I’m expecting the customer service to be on-point. My Experience Today Mike(this is the owner) took my order. He did not even bother to greet me just asked me what I wanted. I used his name when he left the table«thank you, Mike.» He did not respond. No one returned to the table to see if I needed anything else. I got up to utilize the restroom and although I was finished eating, I was going to sit down and look at the desserts, have some more water. However, when I returned to my table they had cleared the table and removed my coat. Additionally, on another occasion, I witnessed Mike yelling at his staff — abusive! I absolutely, unequivocally will not return to this establishment 1) the customer service is severely lacking 2) the abusive behavior of the owner towards the staff, and 3) the restroom is in severe need of lighting and an update with broken cupboard door.

Located pretty close to the Seattle airport so it is a good first stop to try the«best» Indian food in Seattle! According to some people. So if you’re hungry, this is a good place to try! Tikka Masala: got it with dark chicken. Delicious orange creamy sweet yet savory sauce. An Indian favorite curry by everyone! Doesn’t disappoint! Mughlai Korma: tastes coconut-y. Almost reminds me of Vietnamese curry chicken! Got this with lamb and the lamb was delicious! Tender meat. Yum Garlic naan: one circle piece! Wish they gave more though. Still delicious Saffron Rice: delicious Indian rice! Soft long texture like jasmine rice. Also some orange colored ones which is a first for me but I likey! Pros: –very good customer service! The owner was actually there and greeted us and checked up on us! He found out it was our first day and time visiting Seattle so he took the time to write out a list of places to try! –delicious curries! Many great flavored and different combinations of seasonings with all the meat options you can pair it up with(chicken, lamb, fish, etc.) –thick and creamy curries! Cons: –expensive! Like all Indian restaurants. –rice must be bought separately. Doesn’t come with the curries –kind of small portions of meat –doesn’t have cheese garlic naan!!! What :( –instead of lemons with water, they gave us limes. Tip: –must order chicken tikka masala of course!

We drive from the middle of Washington state to eat here… it’s that good. The perfectly-puffed garlic naan dipped in the creamy orange buttered chicken is like heaven, no kidding. Coupled with the saffron rice– oh man! My husband’s tried chicken tikka masala all over the world; Singapore, all over Asia, and this, according to him, is by and far the best. I feel like a comfort food glutton when I finish a tasty plate!

Hands down the best Indian food place in and around Seattle. I have been here multiple times over the last few years. The food is great, tastes authentic, and is not bland. Different curries taste different from each other as should be the case. Must tries — karela daal, balti ghost, achari chicken, manog lassi, biriyani, karahi chicken, green masala, garlic naan. The portion sizes are good and a party of 4 could leave full and a bit more ordering 3 entrees. The service once you get seated is great, efficient and quick. The owner of the place is hands on moving around and interacting with the guests. He makes great recommendations and overall adds to the experience of being in a totally family run place. Just a little haul to get there from downtown Seattle but there is plenty of street parking in and around the restaurant. The place does not take reservations so at least get an hour before closing especially on busy days.

We LOVE Naan –N– Curry! I’ve been coming here since they opened, and this place has done nothing but improve over the years. We love it so much that we had our rehearsal dinner here, the night before our wedding. The Chicken Tikka Masala is the best I’ve had in the States and Canada. Only once was it ever better somewhere else, and that was in London where Chicken Tikka Masala is the national dish. I’m not sure what the owner’s name is, but him, his wife, and their son are the nicest people! What a great addition to Downtown Renton!

If Unilocal had a half a star rating I would have gone for it, why? Well: 1– I ordered Tandori Chicken, I got Checkin Tekka. I know the difference since I was 6 years old. 2– 2 of my chicken cubes were undone, raw from the inside yuk! 3– quality of the food is similar to that that u get at a food court in a mall. Word for the wise Naan and Curry, find yourself a spot in a mall so that u can serve your low quality food. That would be my last visit to your joint. I have a lot of Indian friends, who I dined at their houses several times. I have been to Indian restaurants around the world, I know that Indians in general are fond of their food, granted that they are the ones who taught the entire world how to use spices, Naan and Curry, u just don’t represent!

This sure is a little hole in the wall type of deal. All the restaurants in Downtown Renton seems a bit run down, even on the outside of this place seems just like a normal place that I would pass by all the time without thinking to stop by, but once I did, the interior is spectacular! This definitely is a small family owned business which is refreshing getting away from chain owned restaurants. I was politely greeted by a kind gentlemen stating that it would just be a moment for a table, it was rather busy during lunch time(which is always a good sign). The menu was very simple to understand and coincidentally we came in the lunch special time from 11:30am-3pm where there was a selection of popular dishes to choose from that came with naan, rice, and a side salad for $ 8.99. That’s a great deal, good food and still less than a Double Quarter Pounder Meal at McDonald’s. It was the perfect size to get full off, but not go in a food coma for. My friend got butter chicken and I got tandoori chicken, we shared our food so we can get a variety and both dishes were on point. The chicken were very flavorful and the perfect texture. Now I know where to get delicious Indian food that is less than 10 minutes away from my place!

Update 10/10/2015 Since my last experience turning out to be OK, I heard lot about their biryani and kebabs. I decided to give this place another go and it turned out finger licking good! We ordered chicken Chapal kabab, mutton biryani and chicken tikka masala(butter chicken). Chapal kababs were succulent and damn tasty. Mutton in biryani was well marinated, soft and heavenly flavorful. My wife is a huge fan of butter chicken and she loved it here. It was creamy, just enough sweet and flavorful. Service was pleasing and food arrived quickly. We left as a fan of this place.

Indian food is sooooo underrated. My boyfriend and I were invited to lunch by his friend, and he mentioned to us that Naan N Curry was recommended to him by an guy who grew up in India. He claims that Naan N Curry is the best and most authentic that he can find in the area, so I’m taking his word for it. :) Even on a Sunday afternoon, this place was pretty busy(apparently this is THE dinner spot on the weekends as well). The décor is really simple, and it’s very dark but it’s nice. Mood lighting, I guess you could say. Our orders were taken very quickly and the food arrived to our table in five minutes, tops. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because I really can’t tell if the lady who was our server hated us or that’s just how she is. Still not sure. I was told that the way the food was served(rice and entrees separate) is more Indian style, and that the recipes are also more Indian style, but that the spices they use are more Pakistani. I thought that was pretty interesting! I ended up getting the butter chicken(I know, I know… basic) and my boyfriend got the lamb korma. Ohhh my gooddddd. The butter chicken was amazing — tasted so great and the chicken was so tender! The saffron rice paired with the butter chicken was like heaven in meal form. My boyfriend’s lamb korma? That’s what I’ll be getting next time. The lamb was so tender and so full of flavor, I almost couldn’t believe it. Also, pro tip: If you want something to calm those tastebuds after all that spice orrrr you just want something AMAZING… Get the mango lassi. It’s SOGOOD. You can tell that the mangoes that they use are incredibly fresh. It’s one of the best drinks I think I’ve ever had. Naan N Curry is great. My only dilemma is that it’s literally a one minute walk from my favorite phở restaurant… That’s going to be the hardest decision ever.

Food is awesome but service was below average. In general their service is about average, but there are incidents that pull their average down. We bought in a birthday cake for my dad’s birthday dinner their since he loves their food. First time in my life that we got charged at the bill of $ 1 per person for having them serving us extra plate for a cake we brought from outside. I would imagine restaurant would do that to protect their business such as corkage fee. But you don’t even have a cake to serve and it is the first time we got charged like this in a casual restaurant setting. And also, that wasn’t printed in the menu and no one told us about that at all. The first time we are acknowledge about this charge was seeing the bill. Since it was just the 8 of us, we just let it goes. The 2nd incident is something that really piss me off. With the group of us, we are charged 20% tips in the bill. That’s totally fine and I agree. What pissed me off is they swiped my moms credit card and the pay slip shows the total amount(food+tip+tax) and the 2nd line said«tips» and leave it blank. My mom almost sign the pay slips and doing the math of the tips and I stopped her and have her to let me check the bill that I do it to every restaurant. I brought it to their attention about this misleading bill setting. They should title the line«additional gratitude» and make t clear to customers. I personally think they should at least circle the included tips. Anyway I talked to the manager and they explain that’s how the machine set up and they have nothing to do about it. IMO, I don’t believe him that he cannot do anything with the machine. And even if it is true, very poor communication because it can be fixed by communicating with customer with words and verbal. I guess they chose not to do that and allow their customers to fall in it. Good for them at the end of the day right?

Dishes were great. I can’t deny that the flavors were amazing and different than a lot of other Indian restaurants. Unfortunately, pricing and value was soooo bad, I had to sit through the whole meal with my father-in-law ranting about how we’re throwing money down the drain by eating here! The value of this place is absolutely sub-par. — Naan is super small, Only 6 inch rounds. — No rice with your food. You’ll have to order separately for a small portion of rice. I understand you have to make it special, but for Rice-lovers, especially with curries, paying an extra $ 15 for sides of rice for 3 people is absurd! — Prices for each dish is ~$ 2-$ 3 more than what I expected to pay, especially in Renton. I would expect this price in Downtown Seattle where you’re offsetting rent, but not in Renton… — The casual décor in this place doesn’t seem to warrant this pricing either. It’s not a fancy place. Please do not take me here for date night. Service was also sub-par. They don’t provide friendly, welcoming service. Standing around, starring at customers eat also does not equate to good service.
