I started taking my children to Lindbergh Pool because KinderSwimmers in Renton was charging way too much for lessons. SWIMLESSONS In the shallow pools, they have about 4 classes going on at once. For people new to the pool, it takes some asking to find the exact spot your kids must go to. The swim instructors are all young, but skilled and know what they are doing. The lessons are different from KinderSwimmers as they teach the children different skills and more autonomy. They do not use floats which I like. The pool was built in 1971 and is in dire need of being remodeled. During swim lessons, local high schools will have swim meets in the large pool. This makes the entire building very loud. So if you want to bring in a camera and video record your child’s lessons, you will have trouble with the audio. My children are in P1, but I watched other swim lessons for more advanced children and I think the instruction is better than KinderSwimmer. If you want your child to learn to swim, without going broke — first go to the Lindbergh Pool. They are much better, and certainly much friendlier than KinderSwimmer. I would give them 5STARS for the instruction, but I am giving them 4STARS because the seating is uncomfortable for parents.

Cheap fun for the kids on days when it is a little too cool to swim outside. Yes it is a bit dated, but almost never overly crowded, and the pool is nice and big, with shallow, medium and deep(11 ft) sections for all swimming levels. A fine place to swim if you live in the area, as we do.
