The food here is amazing! The owner and his family are incredibly friendly and kind. The service can be pretty slow at times, but the prices and quality of the food makes up for it. Love the lunch specials and the fried ice cream!

Absolutely love this place! We popped in when we bought our house in 2012 and needed a break from the remodel. It quickly became our go-to place for a quick drink or our favorite Fajita Burrito. The staff is so friendly and we’ve come enough that they know what we like to drink. During good weather you can sit out on their patio. Highly recommend!

Great little low-key Tex-Mex Mexican restaurant. Enchiladas suiza and chile relleno were excellent! Relaxed yet attentive service made the experience very enjoyable!

What I liked: The food was good. The drinks were honest and very reasonable. The service was adequate. I had the Pork Tamale plate and my wife had Chicken with Mole. The place is very utilitarian. That’s fine. The bar is dark and well stocked. I can’t put my finger on anything wrong with this place. I also can’t find anything too exceptional. Will I come back? Sure.

I come here for their taquitos. I admit it. It’s been hard finding a place that has taquitos and not flautas. There’s a difference? Whaaat? Oh yes, there is. Taquitos are made with corn tortillas while flautas are made with flour. Now ya know! They serve Pepsi products here — huzzah! I am in love with their refried beans. I need to order a side of them whenever I go. Their complimentary chips and salsa is lovely and the salsa has some kick! They have a small offering of vegetarian items, but it’s good enough for hubby to not get all cranky over it. Parking is a private lot that is shared with a chinese restaurant and a mini-mart. Can’t wait to go back and try some other items.

Came here for my birthday lunch yesterday, the ladies working were super friendly and the service was fast and attentive. I’ve been here a couple other times but for some reason I always forget that this restaurant is here. I don’t know why because I have always had a good experience here. The food is good, the portion size is nice and good, the horchata is good, the employees are good. I like this place a lot! :)

Amazing authentic Mexican food! Delicious burritos and good portion size. The owner is always working with his staff and and is extremely friendly and up beat and ive been coming back for I’d say almost 7 years. Food has always met my standards and I haven’t had a burrito that tasted better at another Mexican restaurant in the area.

I was getting an oil change at the good year and asked where I should go for some good food while they serviced my car. The guy advised Casa Durango had THE best enchiladas and best refried beans. Wish I remembered his name to give him credit, but I am terrible at remembering names. Haha so terrible don’t recall which camarones dish I had BUT it was LIFE. I posted a picture of it. The waitress was stunning and sweet. I couldn’t decide between 4 different camarones dishes and aksed for her advice. She advised one of dishes I was choosing was her favorite, I obviously went with that. It had tiger shrimp, mushrooms, refried beans, rice and flour tortillas. Which all combined to one amazing meal! I’ll be cherishing this until the next time I can make it in! I don’t even remember the last time I had enjoyed every bite of my meal, but I did this this time. So much so that I felt they deserve a Unilocal review! I’m one of those people who read reviews but never write em. hehee… Everything complimented each other, their refried beans were the best refried beans I’ve ever had! They make mango lemonade the right way. Sweet and sour, whenever I order mango lemonade at a comercial chain I’m always dissatisfied. Those other places must use artificial mango flavoring. The Salsa was SALSA, not chunky at all, full of flavor and sooo spicy. Amazing. The owner, at least I think he was the owner, maybe the chef? Checked in a few times and was very friendly. I always get mistaken for being Latina, but I’m Filipina. I told him I haven’t been to a authentic Mexican restaurant since my bestie moved to California cause I always get confused for being Latina and people give me the stink eye when I don’t speak Spanish! Haha he laughed and said I shouldn’t let that stop me and I won’t from now on! To sum everything up, one very long review later, I LOVE this place and really do look forward to my next meal here. Drooling and dreaming until then.

Good food although it needs more seasoning. No wait time. food is hot. Music too loud for dining customers. Floors needs vacuumed, server is friendly. A recommended place if you are looking for genuine mexican food. Would come back again. Price a little high for the overall experience. Food taste and quality 4⁄10 Service 8⁄10 Ambience 5⁄10 Cleanliness 3⁄10 Wait time midnight 10⁄10

The food is great and always delicious. The only bad thing I would say is the service can be lacking at times even if it is slow.

My wife and I frequented this place many times when we lived in Renton, and Antonio and his staff NEVER disappointed. 1. The house-made salsa is very good. Not great most nights, but always very good. If you get lucky, it’s great. 2. Antonio is the best bartender there, and not because he’s the best mixologist. He’s the best BARTENDER. He makes it a lot of fun, and he pours stiff drinks. Everyone is his amigo. 3. One night, I ordered the chili verde, and our server said no. No? NO. Uhhh… wha? He told us the colorado sauce was better that night, and it was excellent. 4. Good-sized portions. 5. The best part? Soccer on the bar TVs. Always. Am I a soccer fan? Nope. But many in the neighborhood are, and Barclay’s was always on. Good on ya, Antonio.

They have great authentic Mexican food! The staff was very nice and the food was good. Their salsa is good, but it is not my favorite. The ambiance fits the restaurant. It is a great restaurant for families, but not somewhere I would go with the girls on a Saturday night. The margaritas are very good for cheap prices!

My boyfriend and I frequent Casa Durango probably twice a month or more. By far one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve been to since I was actually in Mexico. Everything tastes so fresh, and the service is impeccable. I have never had a negative experience here. The veggie burrito is my favorite, my boyfriend likes the chicken enchiladas, and big portions(for all the hungry peeps out there). We both agree the salsa is the winner though! So spicy! So good! And somehow it’s always a little different, but always awesome. I have not been to the karaōke nights on the weekends, but it always looks hoppin’ in there! One time when I visited for lunch, I heard country music playing in the bar and I knew I had found my spot I have told all my friends about this place because I think everyone deserves to experience this place! Thank you Casa Durango!!!

Went back on Saturday. Took my daughter. Slender waitress was still very sweet and friendly. Other waitress was a little surly, didnt seem very friendly. Food was still good. Salsa was still good and hot, but don’t expect the chunky kind. It is soupy, but flavorful. Salsa bowls are tiny, so you’ll probably have to ask for a refill. They didn’t offer either time. Still worth a visit.

Listen. If you want authentic Mexican food and hospitality, you’re absolutely insane to not stop here! Wanna learn Spanish,? Talk to your waitress but make sure you ask for a margarita! Having lived all over South America I promise your gonna love it.

I love their spicy salsa here! It’s delish. I admit I come here mainly for that. lol. Beware: sometimes the salsa can be spicier than the average person can handle though. hehe. Their carne asada is really good too, although the steak portion is disappointingly small. The best deal here though is to come during lunch. Their burritos are only $ 5.99 and are huge(tad smaller during lunch) and yummy. Get the Durango burrito with an extra side of their spicy salsa.

Oh Antonio! What I Love about the Renton Highlands, is the great selection of small family owned restaurants we have to choose from. Casa Durango is an amazing experience. I highly recommend a regular Cadillac margarita and the enchiladas en crema. Authentic Mexican food is a weakness of mine, and the incredibly friendly service I have always gotten at Casa Durango will keep me coming back for more! TACOTUESDAY! For those who know, there is nothing else to say except ‘Arrange for your ride home and have the motrin ready for the morning’!

Great food. Good service. Exactly what I was craving. This place is a small place with a bar with karaōke in the next room.
