Howard was my guitar teacher in San Diego. He was my first guitar teacher. Had him all through high school. He prepared me for college where I received my BA in Guitar Performance and Masters in Music Composition from UC Santa Cruz.

He provided me with a pedagogy based on fun, variety, and hidden technical mastery of the instrument. Howard has a hand crafted method that I still use today with my own playing, and with my students in my full guitar studio in the SF Bay Area.

Howard was my guitar teacher for years before life pulled him to Washington. He’s the real deal: academic background, years of teaching at all levels, performer and producer.
