I like this restaurant. I’m a bit picky with my pizza and this place is not my favorite by any stretch, but it was much better than others in the area. Especially if you only wanted a slice or two to eat there or take it to go. Recently, I heard it was closed because of a «vacation». Not sure how long this vacation is going to go on for, but I will be sad to learn if this location is officially closed. I drove by today and the«vacation» sign is still on the door, but indication to say when the restaurant will re-open.

After a week and a half of purgatory, it would seem this business is no more. They have removed their Facebook page and their phone lines have been consistently busy. Their nonchalant rude behavior to their customers is likely the culprit. Their service toward the end months of their business was crap, and their product suffered as a result. It is likely that they are not businessmen. I will always remember when I first ordered their Grandma special and Grandma Brushetta pizza one night(full pies, delivery). It was a remarkable taste and I hoped they would never stop making pizzas. I guess it’s time to go back to Kay’s.

My main purpose of being a regular @ this place is that its proximity to work, 2 minutes walk. So, I have attempted so many options of their menus. Their pizza, overall, is a little better than your average pizza of slices served elsewhere. The size is generous, the freshness is guaranteed, as I have stopped early sometimes around 10am and observed the chef, who is an italian himself, make the pizza. From experience these kinds of pizza dough is made over night to two. The crust is never burned, the toppings are very diverse and very very veeeery very generous on top of your slices. And if you happen to not like it, the manager is always open to take your compliant and«make it up for you». He always seek to improve the quality and customer service. Their boneless wings are decent, not as much for their bone-in wings, my personal taste. Their wraps are pretty decent yet I call them average/small in size. Their subs are average-below average. Their salads are extravagant and they come with Italian bread on the side as well as huge dressing. The taste is average. I prefer mixed greens salads not mostly lettuce which is the case. The calazones are very yummy, and their small can feed two. I have yet to try their pasta and dinner dishes. The interior is causal, has dine in tables, table services as well as stools, TV and bathrooms for customers. It is clean and serve causal dine outs, I don’t see where someone may go out here for a date for example and if you must know no alcohol served but I don’t think their is anything against byob. Parking is private and is avilable right outside of the business.

I eat here most days for lunch. Great pizza. I go to Hudson Valley Community College and there are numerous pizza places in the surrounding area, in my opinion F and A is the best.

All three experiences i have had eating F&A have been PHENOMINAL! Their pizza sauce has a delightful kick and the sauce to cheese ratio is just right! The dining in experience was warm and welcoming and the single slice selection was overwelmingly hard to choose. Their pies are creative and delicious. The buffalo chicken pizza is so unique and exactly what you want if you like it HOT! so much sauce and more chicken then i have ever seen on a pizza! My most favorite thing on the menu is their canolli, they might be the best in the capital district ! A+ F&A keep it up !! i will be telling everyone!

Whether you stop in for a few different slices(the options seem endless!) or order an entire pie, their pizza is great! It’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. We especially like their Sicilian. When dining there, the service can be a bit awkward. It’s a very laid-back atmosphere that makes you wonder things like«Should I seat myself?» or «Should I go to the cooler and grab my own soda?» if you’re not immediately greeted by a server. Once you’re seated, however, everyone is great about making you feel at home and comfortable.

6⁄2016 So sad. They have gone out of business due to management problems and decline of food quality. Recently F & A started home delivery, so having heard from friends that they had the best pizza in the area my husband and I decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed! We have ordered delivery a number of times over the last few weeks, not just pizza, but other menu items also. I have never been disappointed. Everything we’ve ordered has been excellent. Tonight we decided to stop in instead of doing delivery, we ordered a calamari appetizer and a pan pizza. Both the food and the service were excellent. If your looking for delicious food and great service you cant go wrong with F & A. =))

This place is legit. Pizza is some of the best I’ve had in the capital district and the steak sandwich was as close to one from Philly I’ve ever had. Wings are worth getting too, large and cooked perfectly. Great find and can’t wait to try it again. Highly recommend the chicken vodka Pzza

Fresh and civilized. After six visits, this place is a model of consistency, quality and professionalism. The pizza and the ingredients are built from the ground up. The pizza is thin and tasty, with just the right crispness. Even the in house dining is good. Highly recommended. In any case I don’t know if anyone else in this region making this style of pie any better. Kudos!

Three and a half stars for F&A, though I can’t say their name out loud without giggling like a seventh grader. I’ve said it once, and I will say it again, I am a pizza snob. Cannot help it. I grew up with the best of pizza, so I am used to a crust that is thin, yet substantial enough to hold the weight of the cheese and sauce, but chewy and yeasty; sauce that is homemade, rather than tinny and from a can; and fatty, stringy, stretchy mozzarella, sprinkled by a knowledgable but restrained hand. People say it’s something in the water downstate that made the pizza so great. Not sure if that is the case, but I was hoping that F&A knew the secret. On various visits(take out), I’ve tried plain pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, grandma pizza, and their chicken Parmesan dinner. My favorite was the grandma slice, as it’s the first time I’ve seen that in Albany that doesn’t just look like a Sicilian slice. The only real criticism for the grandma slice is that these F&A guys cook the crust too much. Can’t just be a one time slip, as the two times I’ve ordered it(and the other times I’ve checked it in the case), it’s been blackened in the corners. I like a nice char, but portions of the crust are inedible. After the counter person convincingly sold me on the popularity of the grandma vodka, I tried that, too. I was not a fan of the grandma with vodka sauce, though. It was too overpowering for my taste, so I’ll stick with the red sauce version. The chicken Parmesan dinner($ 13.95, about $ 15 with tax) is enough for two, as it comes with a generous portion of chicken, your choice of penne/linguini/spaghetti/angel hair(enough for 2), a house salad, and a sizable chunk of bread. The mozz is laid with a heavy hand, but I don’t mind that on my parm. The breading was lacking in flavor, but the chicken was fairly moist. This is not my new favorite chicken parm, but it is a good choice if you’re craving this Italian-American favorite. For the portion, it’s also a good value. The plain pie was pretty good as far as sauce and cheese go, but where I found it lacking was the crust. It was thin and still sturdy, but lacked the flavor, elasticity, and chewiness of my pizza from home. It tasted more bready than crusty. This is one of the few times where I did not eat the crust. For someone who hasn’t been spoiled by downstate pizza, this may be the best slice you’ve tried. Certainly one of the better plain«New York Style» slices I’ve had in the almost 9 years I’ve lived in this Region. The real disappointment for me was the buffalo chicken. There is a very generous serving of chicken breast atop this slice. I never thought I’d ever say this, but there was too much chicken on this pizza! I felt like I was eating a pile of chicken nuggets, rather than pizza. The cheese is served in a very thin layer underneath all that chicken, and I couldn’t even tell there was cheese there at all there until I picked off about half of the chicken so that I could manage the slice. I really missed the melty gooeyness of the cheese — one of my main reasons for eating pizza is a melty cheese layer to lock in the flavors. The chicken was also not very Buffalo-y. If you like it somewhat spicy or even anything above mild, I suggest you specify when ordering. The chicken also seemed grilled, rather than breaded, or so lightly breaded that I couldn’t tell. It’s a personal preference, but I like breaded chicken on my buffalo slices. I’d love to see this slice done with half of the chicken, twice the buffalo sauce, and the cheese on the top, and I think it’d be a better slice. As it is presented now, I’ll pass on this slice and grab a Grandma instead(light on the crust) next time I’m in the area.

Tried F&A last night after seeing good reviews. Ordered wings and chicken alfredo. I was told it’d be a 15 – 20 minute wait. Cool, not a problem. There were about 3 – 4 customers ahead of me, shouldn’t be too much to overload a pizza place. At the 20 minute mark, I stood up from my seat and the guy behind the counter reacted as if he forgot I was there. «Let me check on your food, guy. Be right up.» At the 30 minute mark, I was offered a small cup for soda. And he went into the back after telling me again«Be right up.» Pretty sure they forgot my order. When I went to the counter at the 40 minute mark, I could see they had plenty of employees in the back to handle all the orders. They just aren’t organized, and managed well. The food was ok, I’d have given 2 stars based on the quality of the food. I won’t be back, and would advise my friends and family not to bother.

I wanted to get back and try their Grandma pizza, which quite a few Unilocal reviews claim is very good. No, not quite. The main problem with F&A’s pizza is the crust. It’s flavorless, and it has an odd texture. My Grandma slices looked overcooked sitting in the window, and after being heated up, the crust was so crunchy it was tough to eat. A crunchy crust is good, but this was beyond crunchy, it was hard, like very stale bread. I liked the sauce on the Grandma, it tastes fresh, and the cheese is applied with a light hand. The Grandma definitely looks to be the best of what F&A offers, because at least it isn’t loaded down with a ton of cheese and toppings like their other offerings. But then again, with the crust being so bad, maybe you do want to cover it up with mountains of cheese and toppings. Nevertheless, if you go, I think the Grandma is your best bet.

I came in after a long day of work with a huge hunger and a hankering for pizza. I stumbled into F&A to get a couple slices, hoping to satiate my hunger. I ordered two slices — one sausage and one chicken vodka sauce. The food I ordered came out probably 10 min after I paid for them. I am not really sure what took so long. Let’s see if we can deduce what happened from the plate I received. The chicken vodka pizza came out very crispy and hot. It was almost burnt on the bottom, but not quite, which is in some ways more acceptable than cold and soggy. The sausage slice was the cold and soggy one. I have a feeling they stuck the sausage in the oven and got it to some kind of hotter temp than room temp and then forgot the chicken. After that, they must have realized their mistake and then stuck the chicken in. It was then forgotten until they noticed my little sausage slice all lonesome on a cold plate. I imagine this is how it played out, or else I wouldn’t have such wildly different pizzas on my plate. In terms of taste, the sausage made me think«meh» — little spice or taste to it and the coldness of the slice didn’t help. The chicken vodka had a great sauce, but the chicken pieces were breaded, which ended up soaking all the moisture from the pizza and got soggy themselves. It could have done without the breading. The crusts on both these pizzas was just tasteless. The service here was pretty attentive, but the wait staff being so … professional was not expected. I almost kind of wished they would leave me alone with my pizza. It would probably work if you took your family out for dinner here though. All in all, this place is ok, but could use a lot of improvements in the pizza department. I may come back if I happen to be in the area again, but seeing as how Elias Pizza is equidistant from my work, I’d probably be better off going there.

So glad this tasty pizza joint has opened in East Greenbush! I called and ordered a pie to take home. It was ready to go when I walked in, and they knew exactly who I was — large plain, extra crispy. The guy at the counter was so friendly when I cashed out. They have a large seating area and I will definitely come in for a lunch break some day soon. I can’t wait to try more varieties, because the plain was perfectly cheesy, crispy, and with just the right amount of delicious sauce. Mmmm…

We ordered a large cheese and a large chicken bacon(hold the ranch). They said delivery would be 50 minutes but called at around 40 to ask if we would be ok if the ranch was on the pizza, they had put it on by mistake. They offered to make me a new pizza but it would take an extra 30 minutes. I asked for the new pizza but wasn’t happy to wait longer, so they insisted on sending both the ranch’ed pizza and extra slices of chicken bacon, without ranch. We ended up with a ton of not-so-great pizza. No one wanted the ranch, the chicken itself was chewy– poor quality. To top it off, even the cheese pizza wasn’t impressive. Their name is entertaining, but we won’t order from there again.

This is hands down the best pizza in town. I had the grandmas, the thick Sicilian slice, a regular cheese, and chicken Parm slice. All of them were money. Best part of each was the crust, which is tough for places to nail. Been living in NYC the last 14 year, this place is legit. Next time I’ll try the entrees.

These guys make good pies. Fabio, the guy makin the pizzas has been doin it since he was a kid, and everything from the white pizza to the custom pies come out amazing. The chicken parm was made fresh. These guys use quality ingredients and is shows. I’ll be a regular here.
