April 25, 2015 Saturday 9:30AM Breakfast 2 Adults & many Unilocalers Atmosphere — 4 ½ stars Food — 5 stars Service — 5 stars Background — Love Robert’s Breakfast club, shame he was not able to make it today. Ly makes a lovely replacement for Robert. Atmosphere — Great little place with that grandma feel. I know it is a cold day outside but I should not be sweeting from the heater. I had to stop drinking my coffee because I got so hot. Food Drinks — Just one cup of coffee for me. I am too hot from that heater vent in the back corner of the room. Food — I had the special of the day; Blueberry Streusel French Toast. Loved the little blueberry sauce, I just kept eating it up. Then had some of my wife’s French toast. Service — It was good especially with a large group, they split our checks without an issue. Future — Yep.

This is my third breakfast club UYE and I think they just keep getting better. I love being able to chat with new Unilocal friends and meet Unilocalers whose reviews I’ve been watching. The chatting and meeting new people is my favorite part of these events honestly. The food, however, is a very close second! My choice for breakfast was the blueberry streusel french toast special with scrambled eggs and bacon. I knew I was getting it as soon as the waitress told us about it. I didn’t even need to pick up my menu or agonize over my decision. I love that. The blueberries and streusel were the perfect combination for the french toast without overpowering it. The taste was sweet but not too sweet to be overwhelming. I loved every single bite of it and my wife only managed to snag a taste before I devoured it whole! The scrambled eggs were good but nothing special. I liked the bacon but it had a bit more fat than I usually prefer. I just cut it off, no biggie. I enjoyed conversing with my table mates and leaving with my belly happily full. This event left me with a big smile on my face ready to tackle whatever else I needed to accomplish on my Saturday. I can’t wait for the next one! Sidenote: Robert, our fearless breakfast leader, was absent today and we missed him dearly. His wife, Ly, did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and she handled his duties flawlessly. Those two make a fantastic Unilocal team and with Kiwi, as the photographer of the day, they clearly make Unilocal a family affair!

What an enjoyable breakfast! It’s my first time at Kimmie’s and it was a great experience. I went solo, but no worries there, because Ly does not have any shortage in welcoming and warm spirit. First, the food was great! I got so overwhelmed with the choices(most of which sounded good), so I went with the special — blueberry streusel French toast. I had the combo, of course, so it came with 2eggs over-easy and bacon. Yes, bacon. Enough said. I believe there was not a morsel left on my plate. Check that, I actually had 2 plates. I don’t mess around. I think this is another wonderful UYE event. I’m a little sad that this was the 8th event of its kind, and that I missed the last 7, but I mean to catch up! It’s a great way to meet new, friendly, and interesting people. My table-mate, Kathryn told me about and I’m so glad she did! I wouldn’t have known about it if not for her and meeting her today. I told her about Breakthrough Reno, and I believe she is intrigued and may just try it one of these days. Just another example of how events like this bring people together and open our eyes into other knowledge and experiences outside our own. Kudos, Ly!(And Robert) hi Kiwi

Yummy, yummy, YUMMY! As always the monthly Breakfast Club is such a great time. The company is always amazing and fun and the food is always delicious. This morning I had the Country Style French Toast. It is French toast coated in oats and pecans. It is sweet and crunchy and I enjoyed every single bite. The nutty flavor from the pecans is not overwhelming but just perfect. The service was awesome. There was staff around constantly asking if they could refill coffee’s and the food came out hot and fast. Thanks for«guest hosting» Ly! It was a fabulous breakfast.

Way to go Ly S! You were awesome in taking over the hosting duties from Robert S! A really great breakfast in the usual family style friendly manner that Kimmie’s is famous for. We were all able to sit together in the back of the restaurant. It was really lucky that all of this was prearranged and our tables reserved as it was busy busy busy today. The staff worked overtime in keeping our drinks filled, taking our orders and getting everything out in good time. Loved getting some quality time with our fabulous« Unilocaltern» Sean C and her husband Kyle. The only downside to the event? The absence of our Breakfast Club organizer and Jedi master — Robert S. We sure missed you.

When I got here this morning, I had a great chat with the owner, Donna. She is so sweet… love what she’s done with this place, and how warm and down to earth she is. Thanks for making me feel right at home! :-) As people started to trickle in, I wondered if I stunk or something… I took a shower this morning, I swear! LOL I ended up joining another table and then I didn’t feel so smelly anymore! The service was great, as always… and the food. YUMM! I got one of the morning specials, it had a chili relleno with beans, eggs, home fries… it was REALLY tasty! Some of the people at my table got the Blueberry Streusel French Toast… it looked amazing! The coffee was perfect, not wimpy but not strong enough to stand a spoon up in it either. LOL I’m loving the big coffee mugs they switched to… PERFECT for a coffee junkie like myself! Thank you Robert, for organizing these wonderful breakfasts. Thank you Ly, for holding down the fort for us while Robert is out of town. Mmmm! Leftovers… ohhhh yeah!!! It’s what’s for dinner tonight! LOL
