This store is much smaller than the Wells St store and doesn’t have the«boutique» section. I haven’t been too successful here; the clothes selection isn’t great for men(though there’s a fair bit). I haven’t found much in the housewares either, so I think I buy something maybe 1 out of 3 visits. The houseware/furniture room is the black eye on the store. The aisles are short and very narrow, with poorly-spaced shelving making it tough to actually see what’s on them. They also have a sporting goods corner which is in desperate need of shelving. Half the time it looks like a giant pile of junk. The staff are pretty agreeable, so not an unpleasant experience, just okay.

OK thrift store, probably worth a visit. Large selection of clothes, large but kind of dingy selection of kitchenwares, bunch of early 2000s CRT TVs, small selection of books that are 80% Tom Clancy. All I wanted was a couple of cheap t-shirts to wear at the gym and a little plastic bottle to carry single doses of laundry detergent to the laundromat, both of which were easily found. They were already dirt cheap but as it happened I stumbled in on a «50% off everything» day so the whole total was 1.25. Good pricing if you need any of the aforementioned items, don’t expect high-quality gems in the rough though.

Lovely staff here for the most part(there’s an older guy there occasionally that has a chip on his shoulder). They really work to keep this store neat and clean. I usually go twice a month and never leave empty handed.

Ok, store. But their are far better Salvation Army stores in Reno

Clean. Big spaces. Open feeling to the store. I found some great clothing items here. Kids got a free kids book and the nice cashier man offered them a free car out of a basket at the front. That made their day! I tried to look for the sale tags– that helped in the price department a bit.

This new Salvation Army location is really a nice store. It is big and clean and spacious with tons of inventory that is well organized. You can find pretty much everything here… there were lots of clothes, housewares, and furniture. However, I won’t be going back unless there is a big sale. I know I already mentioned this in my review of the Wells store, but WHATISWITHTHEPRICES?! Salvation Army, you need to put down the crack pipe before you come up with these pricing lists. It seems as though you think that the price of a very used, damaged, ugly piece of furniture should be the same as a solid wood piece in wonderful condition. That a t-shirt from Wal-Mart should be priced the same as a blouse from the Gap. That people are willing to pay only slightly less for something at your store than they would pay for the same item from the department store. Seriously. I know you’re a good cause and all, but I don’t come here to make hefty donations to your organization… I come here to get cheap shit ’cause I’m CHEAP!
