Went in to have a measurement for a dress shirt. First employee stated he did not know how, but would find someone to help. A girl came over to help and asked what size shirt I wore. When I stated I needed to be measured, she asked what size shirt I wore. Large, med. etc. she stated she could get a shirt that would equal my size. When I stated«no thank you» she became belligerent. Wrong place to go for any assistance with men’s wear

It’s a clothing chain that’s not always easy to find. Des Moines used to have one, glad when I found this small one in Reno. It’s one of the last places to shop for clothes where the staff will help you find items and sizes. They also will take clothes to the dressing room to hold for you. The store is always packed, a small store with a huge selection. Small men’s department to the left and a small home goods department in the back. Prices aren’t outrageous high. And often some very unique designs.

Stopped in with my wife, and she enjoyed herself; lots of nice items for home decorating and of course clothing. A fun place to browse with a lot less frantic feel to it than a Ross’, for example.

This store offers lovely merchandise such as Jones, ChaChaVente, Peck & Peck, MK that are all well priced and, available in sizes, for all. But… the Customer Service aspect is lacking in all respects. Nobody will greet you and you will have, to wait until someone turns up to ring you up. Difficult or probably impossible to return without the receipt. Nobody will go out their way to find the price you paid if all the items, have been sold. Still, a great place to shop if you know you will be on your, own! Probably not the most appealing place for teens, not enough bling. Best for above 35 crowd.

I go here with my sister, some times I wait in the car. Hell the store has a lot of stuff for the body to you house. My sister always finds something here to buy and it is usually at a decent price. I have bought an odd shirt or two over the years. But they do have a good variety to choose from. The ladies working here are always nice, always. I just wish they would brighten the lighting a bit, it is kind of dim for some reason.

I dislike shopping for clothes. I do not hate it, but I dislike it. I prefer, as I think most men do, to walk into a store, find what I am there for, buy it and leave with said item(s). What ticks me off about Stein Mart is that I cannot do that. First, they have way too much stuff for the olé walk in, buy, walk out routine. The prices are fantastic and the merchandise is good quality stuff. On this particular visit I got two pairs of pants, a pair of shorts, 2 dozen golf balls and a cutting board. And my tab was under $ 80. Ridiculous! The men’s golf pants, shorts, shirts are great and the business gear is great. Stein Mart is a discount retailer, but its not like some of the others. Good stuff, great prices. However, I did notice that the ladies side looks like my Grandmama was having a bridge party and my little wanted nothing to do with the clothing(but said her Mom liked shopping there).

Been here twice, bought once. I really am confused by the old lady clothes comments. I have never seen an «old lady» were a pretty babydoll tank. I think they have clothes for all adult ages. If your style is super trendy or maybe super liberal then maybe you won’t find a single item, but even at my old age of 35 I can find a lot I would wear today and would have worn 15 years ago. Customer service is great. As I was pushing my mom in her wheelchair a employee noticed our clothes we had to try on and said to find her when we needed a room to try them on. She was right at the fitting rooms when we were ready and let us in the handicap fitting room. The negative is the fact that their doors are not automatic. Something you only notice when you are pushing one in a wheelchair or have some other walking impairment. I say give the place a chance, it is worth it. They had clearance tables out when I was there last weekend and if I needed a purse or towels I would have gotten a deal. If I was only a size 12 I would have found the dress for my brother’s wedding. The reason my mom and I were going was to look for a dress for her for my brother’s wedding. We found exactly four formal looking dresses. I am assuming they only carry these type of dresses for the«wedding season». I thought that was inconvenient, but can’t really complain since they are not a wedding dress shop. I tried on two cute tops and would have paid $ 25.00 for both if I haven’t gained weight. To the gym and then I will be back at SteinMart.

Since I never shop for old lady’s clothes I wouldn’t know the difference. But if you want a really nice down comforter with a high thread count for cheap, this is the place to go to. If you want inexpensive accessories for your house from wine glasses to flower bowls this store isn’t bad. If you don’t mind pleasant customer service, go to Stein Mart. I’m a fan because I was able to get a Ralph Lauren overcoat normally priced at Macy’s for $ 400+ for $ 60 with the discounts they offer the day after thanksgiving.

Seek. and ye shall find… a great selection of casual, sporty clothes for the 30 something crowd. New stock arrives weekly, and the prices are reasonable compared to nearby bigbox stores. Also, home décor, linens, bath towels etc that you won’t find anyplace else in town. The plus size dept is a pleasure to browse thru; have gotten many compliments on my personal choices. The sales staff actually listens &HELPS you find what you need; it’s a friendly personal touch that I really like.
