Pregnant or Breastfeeding? You NEED to know about Robin and Starfish Lactation! Know someone expecting or nursing? You need to tell THEM about Starfish Lactation! The Starfish principle is easy — «Nourishing Babies; Nuturing Families». What do you need to do or know to feed your baby(or babies) to give them and your family the best start in life? They have a fantastic presence on Facebook under ‘Nevada Breastfeeds”. They always post valuable information, links to great articles and reminders of upcoming local events. Starfish Lacation offers a FREE forum every Tuesday that is fantastic for moms and their babies(no matter how young or old). Topics discussed include breastfeeding, pumping, supplementing, feeding solids, sleep(and sometimes lack thereof), where to find bras that fit, tummy time, pediatricians, returning to work, weaning, nursing strikes, mastitis, thrush, teething, milestones, diapers(and all their bizarre contents) and pretty much any and every topic that a group of mothers might ever talk about! In addition to the free forum, they also offer private consultations. I know you may *think* you can’t afford it, but(just like the mastercard commercial) knowing you are doing everything you can to give your child the best possible start in life truly is PRICELESS! Not to mention the peace of mind that you will get from seeing a certified breastfeeding specialist,(or, as my 7 year old twins call her — the milk lady), from someone who has had a passion for breastfeeding for the last 25+ years and has the sheer experience to guide any mom and baby nursing pair through anything and everything to get the best outcome possible for the two(or three or four) of them! Friendships are created each week with this fantastic group of moms. There are babies, toddlers and children of all ages, which is great because chances are excellent that there is a mom there with an older child who has gone through what you are going through and can give advice or assistance. Robin calls it like she sees it. If she tells you everything is fine — trust her — it is all OK! If she tells you that you need to have a private consultation, she is not ‘just trying to get money out of you’ you must legitimately need more time, one-on-one with her to work through whatever is causing the issue. Just recently she told me in a discussion about my baby’s weight gain«not lights and sirens, but something to pay attention to»(aka ‘don’t freak out, just keep an eye on it’) Such a nicer way of putting it — don’t you think? In my world, a review of a business that is just gushing and can’t stay on a single topic is a great one about a great business! I(clearly) can’t say enough about Robin Hollen and Starfish Lactation. I hope that you will remember this review and the next time you or someone you know is pregnant or breastfeeding — you will refer them to Starfish Lactation to give the best investment to the future of two lives!
