Sage Hair Studio

I’m giving it a 5 stars because of the customer/​client care and of course the exceptional hair cut. KATIE ORR cut my hair and she did amazing. I booked my next hair app right away as I was satisfied with the service.

I had my first appointment with Katie Shy-​McHugh yesterday. I found her based on Unilocal reviews and checking the Sage Hair Studio website. I am very pleased to say that the Unilocal review was spot-​on (excellant) but most pleased with Katie. I am extremely pleased with my cut. She used methods I haven’t seen since going to a famous salon in Beverly Hills. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you Katie!

Alia has been doing my hair and my husbands hair for a couple years. She’s very talented and great at executing different colors and cuts especially if you have a picture. I love her laid back and sweet personality because she makes me feel completely comfortable. My husband appreciates that she continuously takes classes to refines her skills and can do modern men’s haircuts, like the hard part. Fantastic salon. Great stylists. I saw Jessica and she is fantastic and very knowledgable with color. She does wonderful color. Great relaxing place to have your hair done or styled for that special event.

Hannah created the perfect look for my 7÷18÷15 wedding AND she made my super-​straight hair stay curly all night, despite a mountaintop breeze. Now I won’t get my hair done by anyone else. She also did a great job on the rest of the bridal party, including our two young flower girls. Everyone looked fantastic!

Hannah has been doing my hair for a long time, but she outdid herself for my wedding. I felt like a princess thanks to her. Thank you Hannah!

Not only is Hannah Carlson fabulous with cuts and colors, her studio is the trendiest in town. The minute you walk in you experience the comfortable openness and natural design of barn wood and textiles — it’s like the house you wish you had. And we all know the fretted growing-​out stage, but I’m happy Hannh’s going to help make the transition from short hair a blessing!

Went to see Hannah for the fist time this past weekend and I am absolutely satisfied with the cut and color I would highly recommend her she’s the best! Very reasonable

I have been going to Hannah for about 6 years until I moved away — and I still book an appointment with her every time I come home! Hannah is extremely talented with both color and styling — she can do basically anything whether it is beautiful natural blonde highlights or an amazing, intricate braided updo. Hannah is flexible and is always able to fit me into her schedule. She spends time at the beginning of each appointment going over all of your preferences and making sure that she really understands what you want your hair to look like. You are never rushed with Hannah and she will spend as much time as necessary to make sure you are completely happy with the way you look.
As for the salon — Sage is a really pretty salon; it’s immaculately clean and has cute decorations. The ambiance is relaxing — it has very nice, natural colors and all of the equipment is top of the line. The prices are definitely reasonable! You are also offered a selection of wine, beer, sodas, juices, etc.
Highly recommend booking an appointment with Hannah and going in to Sage, having a glass of wine, and having Hannah work her magic on your hair!

I found Katie Shy when I first moved to Reno. I approached a random person and asked her who did her highlights, and was referred to Katie at Salon Platinum.
I’ve gone through hair people like I’ve gone through bad fashion trends. Katie is definitely a keeper. I’ve referred a ton of people to her over the years who have all been impressed. It’s hard to find someone who can make a redhead look like a natural blonde, and when you find that person you keep them.
Katie’s new salon is adorable, and has ample parking. I wish she’d come over and decorate my house to look just like the salon. The prices are reasonable and I really like the Unite hair products, so much so that I bought them, which I’ve never done at a salon before. 100% recommend.

I have been a client of Hannah’s for a few years now, and couldn’t be happier! The new Studio is gorgeous and the ladies have put a lot of time into making it their own.
There is always coffee available, and a friendly person to chat with.
Hannah always does an amazing job with my cut and color which tend to change with the seasons. I wouldn’t even think of going anywhere else.

On the advice of my mother, I decided to break free of the many years of Fantastic Sam’s haircuts and tried out Katie’s services today! As a guy in his early twenties, I was a bit weary of trying out the stylist my mom uses, but I could not be more impressed with the job Katie did. As for price, you can imagine it’s a bit more than Fantastic Sam’s, but it was well worth it for the difference in service and the general quality of the cut! I’ll be back in a few weeks!

Lindsey Dillard is the most talented hair stylist I’ve ever been to. She is a perfectionist with her work and really has a passion for hair (and makeup). I have never been truly happy with the way my hair turns out until I met Lindsey. She listens to what you want and also gives you her expert advice and her execution is amazing every time. This new salon, sage, is absolutely beautiful. It has a wonderful atmosphere, it’s clean and everyone is so friendly. I recommended everything about it.

Hannah did my hair and it turned out exactly how I wanted! The place is super cute too. Love this place!
