Pro Nails

I would not only never go here again I want to warn people of their dishonesty. On Friday I was running arons with my daughter when I say a sign with an advertisement for getting your nails done at pro nails. I went in to find only one lady working. I told her that I want to get mine and my daughters nails done (mani-​pedis). Even though they have walk-​ins welcome signs and were advertising for business I was asked to come back in 20 min. I thought no big deal I will run a few more arons,. When we returned they took only my daughter. The whole point was for us to spend time together. Then once my daughter was done and several other people had come and been seated and waited on I was informed that they had appointments and I could not be fit in. Then they charged me 5 dollars more that what their sign stated for a small child. I did not tip and told them how upset I was and I only got a thank you and have a nice day. Their customer service and lack of care was disgusting. I cant believe they have a business.

Very disappointed. New to Reno and looking for a nail salon. I will NOT be back to this one.

The cons:
1. My nail woman was the only one to answer the phone. In 20 minutes she had taken 4 calls where she answered questions about prices and scheduled appointments and only so far had taken off my polish and clipped my toenails.
2. The entire «massage» portion lasted a total of 3 minutes (yes, I actually timed it) and consisted of quickly rubbing lotion on my feet and legs and then using a hot towel to wipe off my toes and feet.
3. In the hour I was there she spent roughly 25 minutes on my pedicure and answered the phone 10 times!!! Even when the other nail women were sitting with no client my nail woman still answered the phone. Each time stopping my pedicure.
4. Cost of pedicure says $ 25 on signs outside and inside. When she was done she said mine was $ 30. I asked why and she said oh I forgot to tell you, it’s $ 5 for the callous remover. I should have been told that BEFORE she used it as my callous were not the bad and I would have skipped it this time since I got every 2 – 3 weeks.
5. Pedicure basin was not cleaned with disinfectant after my pedicure and before someone else was put in chair. Had I seen this I would not have stayed. Proper cleaning and disinfecting is a must and it was not done here!
I guess some people had a better experience here then I did. Good luck to you if you decide to roll the dice and try this place. I however recommend you GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I have been to many different nail salons and this one is best! Samantha and Ann are very welcoming and warm and they both do a great job. Recently went to an upscale spa and the pedicure didn’t compare to the one I got here and this was about half the price. I’m going to be a lifer at ProNails!

I just went here for the first time and will absolutely go back. They were fast, fun to talk to and did a great job. I absolutely recommend them if you need a new regular salon or are just in the neighborhood.

I dropped in one afternoon while waiting for car repair. They were warm, welcoming, and very professional. It seems I was lucky to get in as a walk-​in as they were very busy yet they gave me an excellent pedicure. I will definitely be back, and next time with an appointment!

This was my first time at this salon. I went with a friend to get mani/​pedi for a wedding. It was the worse mani/​pedi I ever got. Before I went in I happened to pick off my last mani and the technician didn’t use any nail polish remover to remove polish still on my fingers. She pushed cuticles back but didn’t clip any hangnails and for the gel polish, it wasn’t cleaned around cuticles and was left on my skin. The technicians were pleasant but the quality of work was terrible. I know that the tools used for my
Mani were the same tools that the technician used for the person before me. They were never cleaned. I will never come back to this place! I DO NOT recommend this place.

Just got a manicure with Samantha. She was very nice and did a great job! I would definitely recommend her.

i went here for the first time. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was quiet/​peaceful. I only gave it 2 stars because the manicurist (it was not the woman, Ann, that people speak highly of) injured my R great toe and cut it at an odd angle. It hurt during the pedicure but I didn’t realize the unusual angle she cut it at until I got home. She angled the L great toe as well. I’ve never had that happen to me before. (???) Needless to say, I’m a bit disappointed.

My favorite spot in Reno/​Sparks! I’ve tried many and hands down, this is the salon that takes their time to do a great job. I never feel rushed when I come here!

I have no idea what people are raving about. I went here today for a gel manicure and it looks beyond horrible! I asked her to redo it and she said it would look the same. The color is not even and there is no shine to them.

I stopped in today without an appointment. I’ve never been here before, but I was in the area and figured i’d try a new nail salon. Ann greeted me with a smile and got me right in. She did an EXCELLENT job on my nails. She was super through and friendly. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been going to these ladies (technicians are all family members by the way) since I moved to Reno from East coast. They are top notch. I am always disappointed when I travel and get my manicure at fancy hotels or spas and the quality is never as good as the mani and pedi’s at Pro Nails. Highly, highly recommend. They are the best in Reno for certain and they are very kind and polite as well. Can’t beat price either.

I love this place. Samantha did my full set and pedi. She did a great job and the ladies in there are so nice and welcoming. The reason I took a star off is because for a full set and pedi it cost me $ 85 not including the tip. But it was totally worth it though because of the service. I finally found my go to nail shop here in Reno. I got exactly what I wanted and have no complaints.

This is my go to place for a pedicure in town — the pedicure lasts super long, the staff are friendly and professional, and they do an Excellent Job on my feet. Highly recommend this place!

This place is awesome! Friendy and honest!

I found this shop last summer when I was looking to get a Pedicure. I met Ann, and was very happy with the quality of service she provided as well as what a sweet girl she is. As soon as I start wearing sandals for the summer, I have callus issues, and Ann goes the extra distance in working on my rough heels and when she gets done, they are smooth as a baby’s bottom. I have continued to go back and highly recommend this Nail Shop and especially Ann.=)

I was very happy to find this place! The prices are reasonable and the staff was very sweet, which I have noticed is hard to find! But most importantly, I loved the way my nails turned out. When I get gels I like them to be thin, short and look as natural as possible. I was very impressed that my nail tech actually did everything I was looking for!
This place is not fancy but they do great work with a good attitude. Thumbs up!

This place is in the Smithridge Center now. I stopped by here because my regular manicurist couldn’t get me in for a pink and white liquid gel fill that day and I didn’t feel like waiting a week because I had chipped a nail pretty badly. I called Pro Nails and the girl I spoke to said she could get me in in 20 minutes so I headed straight over there. When I started, a younger woman filed down my nails (with a drill) and clipped down the length with nail clippers then an older lady came in and proceeded to attempt drilling out my tips for a backfill. Epic fail. She drilled more than she intended to fill in with white so she had to fill in the gaps with extra pink gel. This created a divot in between the pink and the white. On top of this, she didn’t even put any curvature to the white tips. They went straight across my nail. In addition, the gel was applied very very thick and they were not reshaped and squared off from the initial trimming done with the nail clipper. I usually complain when I’m not happy with service that I’ve received at places but there was too much wrong. The only way to correct this would have been to start over, but I really didn’t want to sit through that again and still end up with ugly nails.

Could not be more happy about finding this place! I am not from California and used to getting mani pedi’s very cheap so I was shocked at the prices in Reno. This was the one salon that was priced well, was very clean, and they did a fantastic job. Anne really took her time to file and buff my nails perfectly as I had asked. The pedicure chairs have a great massage setting and the pedicure and leg massage were fabulous. Don’t expect a ton of frills, as this is a small family owned salon, but it is VERY rare to find such great quality, and great customer service at a awesome price. I would recommend for anyone.

Went to this place on a whim to get a pedi with my sister.
I’m from Los Angeles and am used to paying no more that $ 15 for a good pedi. When I moved to Reno, I found that many places charge $ 50 or even more for just a pedicure!
Pro Nails’ rate was $ 30 for a spa pedicure and it was amazing. The ladies were very nice, and took their time. They massaged our legs and feet and proceeded to pat them down with a nice hot towel, ahh it felt soo good.
I totally recommend this place, I loved it!
